Sorry for multi-post!

EmilyK83 · 20/06/2016 17:27

Definitely worth trying the olive oil frylight - it's more visibly oily than the others, seems to do my chips better than the sunflower one!

maygirl · 20/06/2016 17:27

Well done Wing! And welcome Queen . I think we all go through phases of being fed up of it all. Trying some indulgent but still on plan meals usually helps me. And reading SW blogs, like ylimesalad and slimmingmama!
B overnight oats with peanut butter 1.5 syn and jam 1 syn and raspberries
Orange
L brown rice, roast peppers, salad and leftover tzatziki, grapes. Aldi benefit bar 3 syns. Milk 3 syns, saving heA for cheese tonight.
D Got Tuscan beans and jacket potatoes in the slow cooker for when we get home from DDs ballet, will serve with HeA feta cheese. I hope its nice!!!
Hope check up went OK lemony. Flowers

Hi all and welcome even newer people than me!

I've been a saint today - skipped all biscuits in the meeting, bought a boiled egg at tesco (random snack selections they have - I don't know these exciting things as the nearest tesco to me is a tesco express 8 miles away so I never go!) to supplement my tuna pasta salad, had fruit in the meeting...

... And have just mucked it up by having a 7 syn packet of dry roasted peanuts on the train and have chosen the chicken & chorizo stew (synning an approximate amount of chorizo and olive oil). But peanuts are my weakness...

Still only 15.5 syns all in but I'm a bit annoyed with myself!

Mariqui · 20/06/2016 17:55

Thanks EmilyK83 will give that a go!

nomoreheroes · 20/06/2016 18:11

Are you parboiling your potatoes first mariqui? I took a tip from Heston Blumenthal ages ago which is for roasted but applies here. Don't just parboil - cook them all the way through in well salted water, drain and rough them up properly in the pan (get crispy edges then!). I spray both the preheated tray and the wedges. Hottest oven you can and shake them/turn them a few times.

I'm a great one for advising others but can't bloody well behave or motivate myself this week. I'm blaming my period but I think I am just being silly. More bread and butter today and then I ate about two thirds of one of dd's sausage - then looked it up and it's 6 blinking syns! Ffs. So Angry at myself. The scales haven't moved in either direction (wi Wednesday) but it'll be a miracle if I don't gain. Bah!

froubylou · 20/06/2016 18:52

Hello all

Am back from our weekend away and feel very bleurgh. And to top off everything else I have had dp promised dd a tgis for tea aa we set off home earlier as the weather was shite.

So a line firmly drawn. 3.5lb on by my scales but am hoping a lot is water which I intend to pee away. Also I need fibre. Bowels have missed my b choice!

Not sure what tomorrow will bring foodwiSe as have to go shopping but will 100% be back on plan.

Also have a million and one things to do around the house so going to body magic my 3.5lb too! Wi on Wednesday. Will be over the moon with a sts!

KittyOShea · 20/06/2016 19:23

Just had my chilli with beetroot rice. Beetroot rice is delicious! Much nicer and less smelly than cauliflower!

ALemonyPea · 20/06/2016 19:39

Today's meal plan went to pot, but still on plan and have squeezed in an SP day.

B: scrambled eggs and mushrooms, fruit
D: cottage cheese, cucumber and ham
T: gammon, giant mushroom with HEA cheese, pickles and fruit salad to follow

Will have 2 Alpen bars for my 2 HEB and have had a packet of pufts for 3.5 syns for the day.

I better get a decent loss tomorrow.

Mariqui · 20/06/2016 20:51

nomoreheroes I parboiled for 5 minutes. Will try cooking through fully, thanks!

Buttwing · 20/06/2016 21:48

Kitty I saw the beetroot rice in Sainsburys, I always think beetroot tastes like soil! Is the rice the same? I use cauli rice a lot but your right-it stinks!

Half on for me in two weeks. I'm pleased with that because I've been really up and down. I've been super good today though.

B-banana
L- chicken and veg stirfry
D-prawns in chilli, olive and tomato sauce with courgetti.

KittyOShea · 20/06/2016 22:24

Butt I had it with chilli so that flavour would have overwhelmed any earthiness although the beetroot did add a pleasant sweetness. That said it turned the rest of my veggies blood red Grin

ALemonyPea · 20/06/2016 22:48

I had beetroot tortellini last week, it was bloody awful. I too think U pickled beetroot tastes like soil. Think I'll stick to my cauli rice.

ALemonyPea · 20/06/2016 22:48

Unpickled^^

WingDefence · 21/06/2016 06:41

Morning all. Sitting in the station car park waiting for my train in 20 mins. Didn't get a chance to make overnight oats last night so have just looked up porridge pots (they sell them on the train) which are about 11 syns each Shock or Bircher muesli pots (sold in Smiths at the station) which are about the same Sad No idea what to have for breakfast now. Might as well grab a croissant! don't worry I won't really

So B = unknown
L = hopefully a subway salad and not meeting room sandwiches
D = whatever my cousin makes plus wine

Hope you all have a great day.

WingDefence · 21/06/2016 07:13

Eek. The shelves were actually empty in Smiths Hmm so I had to get a porridge pot. Found the correct one on the app and it's 14.5 syns. I could cry. I'm not going to waste it as I need to eat but I'm not happy. Why can't they bloody sell fruit salads?!

WingDefence · 21/06/2016 07:30

And to make it worse, the lady opposite me must be a SWer as she's just got out a huge box of M&S berries to have with her black coffee. I feel like a pig now.

Right will stop spamming you all and just wallow in my porridgey sadness!

nomoreheroes · 21/06/2016 07:32

Oh God Wing, that's so high for porridge! And not even as filling as your overnight oats I bet. Very annoying for you. I'd have been tempted to grab a bar of chocolate, probaby the same syns (or less) and a lot more fun!

tabulahrasa · 21/06/2016 07:49

It's totally cheating, but, I'd count your porridge as an a and a b choice and 2.5 Syns...up to you like, but sometimes wee cheats like that totally save me throwing a day away.

EmilyK83 · 21/06/2016 10:10

1.5lb off! Chuffed with that as its only been 6 days since I last weighed rather than 7, just need another 1.5 for my 4 stone award and keeping everything crossed for getting it next week!

QueenFuri · 21/06/2016 10:33

Thanks for all the tips I will keep them in mind.

Weigh day today so I had a special k bar for breakfast as that's all the shop sold. I have noodles for lunch which are free and after weigh in I have salmon and new potatoes. 1 and a half measly pounds for my 5st and I think it will be a maintain at best as my period has also arrived typically!

Buttwing · 21/06/2016 11:41

I would gutted at that for porridge I think I would have had a kit Kat!

Another good tip my consultant told us is that if have a full size wholemeal sandwich you can count it as heb plus 2.5 syns for the bread. I quite often do this as it feels so much more substantial!

B-mixed berries and ff greek yogurt
L-chicken stir fry
D-chilli prawn courgetti

I really enjoyed my food yesterday so I'm having similar today was really full yesterday ended the day on 3 syns which I'm happy with after a dodgy couple of weeks!

froubylou · 21/06/2016 12:02

Meal plan for today.

B. Coffee and half a banana walking around tesco
L. Hm veg soup
T. Smoked cod, veg and new pots.
HeB hi Fi bars and hea in coffee. Syns in sauce for fish.

Still weighing 3lb heavier but hoping a light day will get rid for Wi tomorrow. If not I will just have to work doubly hard this week to have a good loss next week. Still hopeful some of it is water retention.

KittyOShea · 21/06/2016 13:06

Today's plan is the same as yesterday

B- breakfast muffins and grapefruit
L- salad (dressing 2 syns) fruit, hi fi (1/2 hexb1)
D- chilli with beetroot rice leftovers

Hexa- milk in tea
Hexb1 2 x hi fi hexb2 2 slices of toast after work and before Pilates

Syns- 1 sugar, 2 salad dressing, 4 butter so 7 in total.

Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed although like queen my period has just arrived...

WingDefence · 21/06/2016 13:30

Well done Emily - good luck Queen and thank you for the tip. I've re-logged it as my HexA and B plus the tablespoon of golden syrup Blush and another 3.5 syns for good luck.

I almost swayed and had the meeting sandwiches (and today we have cake! Which is right behind me and I can smell the spicy carrot cake but I am resisting!) but wandered up the road for a subway salad counting syns for dressing but not the few slices of olive because I'm a rebel

I'm giving training today and typing this during my colleague's presentation so better go. I had a NSV today in that I'm in a dress I haven't worn for ages and I look alright!!
