EmilyK83 · 17/06/2016 16:43

Well done muminthecity!!

Lunch at my dad's was easier than expected - 2 syns down so far. Think I might survive today within syn limits after all!!

WingDefence · 17/06/2016 17:13

Oh buttwing I missed your crap DP news. I don't know what your going through (ob) but perhaps have a flexible day and let yourself have a splurge but stay in control iykwim? When I do the same as you (which I do), I feel ten times worse after :(

Buttwing · 17/06/2016 17:43

Thanks may and wing.

You're right wing I really need to stay in control or I will feel worse to tomorrow. I'm just feeling taken for granted and unappreciated, I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day.

Sorry, anyone is free to join my pity party today!Blush

On a more positive note I decided I need carbs with dinner tonight so I fried tinned new potatoes in 7 sprays of olive oil, added chopped bacon and chopped asparagus and lots of pepper. It was lovely will definitely make it again and so quick.

calzone · 17/06/2016 20:16

Evening all, please please tell me bloating and sore tum is normal at start of sw. In so uncomfortable and in so much pain. What can I do?? Am I just not drinking enough water? Am so close to just chucking in the towel Sad

EmilyK83 · 17/06/2016 21:01

Calzone...where's that stick?!

Butt - be strong!

Comeon - have seen them loads on Instagram! Let us know if they're good - I swear by weight watchers mini rolls (4 Syns each) for my cake fix!

Ken, I had the same - I upped my water and the veg and fruit I was eating that had a F symbol for fibre next to them in the book, seemed to sort it out...

Buttwing · 17/06/2016 21:09

I had one. I feel like the moment of madness has passed now!

Ken stick with it, in the beginning it can really mess with your bowels one way or another. Have you got any windeze or buscopan if it's really sore?
Have you eaten a lot of pulses or spices today? I always find both these things give me really bad bloating and dreadful windBlush

Buttwing · 17/06/2016 21:10

Comeon they look good maybe I need some to keep me away from the brownies!

Kenworthington · 17/06/2016 21:11

Ah cool thanks so much

ALemonyPea · 17/06/2016 21:48

Sorry you're having a crap day Butt Flowers

Comeon, I have the lemon ones, they're OK, but have an odd texture. My friend likes the choc ones, she warms it up in the microwave for 10 secs.

KittyOShea · 17/06/2016 21:53

Very proud of myself tonight as I was out on our 6th form leavers dinner.
Had salad to start, then chicken with buttered leeks, no pudding and only 1 gin and slimline. Home with a cuppa and a hi fi now so I reckon I've stayed within syns.

Sorry to hear you're having a rough day butt

Calzone- you're our inspiration. You have to stick to plan!

Ken I found the bloating a lot too at the start. Increasing water and decreasing egg consumption sorted me out!!

maygirl · 18/06/2016 07:54

Halo Kitty, well done!

You can do it Calzone! Only natural that you might want to see what you can get away with at target weight! Maybe start by logging it and accepting it flexi syn style. Lose the guilt!
Would re-reading your first SW support thread help? Its like your SW diary, to remember how far you have come and how motivated you have been?

Have great weekend all Grin

WingDefence · 18/06/2016 08:11

Morning all! I made lemon drizzle cake last night for our village party today (queen's birthday) and of course I had to try it! Will abstain from all cake and other syns today though once there. It's 2-6 so I'm planning on eating filling up on salad before we go and then I have the option to eat well when I get home too.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

EmilyK83 · 18/06/2016 10:30

Morning all!

Went food shopping with my dad at 7.30 this morning - an early start but wanted to make sure I had stuff for lunch, haha!

So today's plan:

B - strawberries and green tea

L - lettuce, celery, tomatoes, rice salad (2), smoked salmon, maybe an egg, pickles

Skinny latte and raspberries and HexB Alpen Lights for my loooooooong train journey home later

D - (when I finally get home) smoked haddock with lemon and dill lentils (0.5)

And still 12.5 syns to use after that!

ALemonyPea · 18/06/2016 10:40

Come on Calzone, you can do it. I agree with the flexi syn idea, you have 105 a week, why not look at it that way?

Ken, I definitely felt bloated the first week and a half doing SW, but it does go and it feels great losing weight. Keep it up.

Well done on the restraint last night Kitty. It's great isn't it, going out and knowing you've stayed on plan.

Wing, it would have been rude not to test the cake.

Off to another birthday party today. Luckily, will be barbecue, so easy enough to keep to plan (famous last words) and won't have any cake. My sister is making SW friendly potato salad, so can stuff my face with that.

B: quiche, yoghurt, strawberries
D: chicken, salad, SW potato salad
T: SW salt and chilli chicken, SW chips, curry sauce (2 syns)

Unsure what my HEA and HEB will be yet.

Kenworthington · 18/06/2016 11:03

Mornjng! A testing day ahead for me today. Ds1 has recently started working at McDonald's at the weekends and is desperate for us to go in at lunchtime today. He holds no truck with my dieting (he used to have an eating disorder and seems to have totally swung the other way!) so must. Resist. The. Big. Macs. And . The. Mcflurries. Grin then this evening dj and I are heading off to a party that a millionaire client of his is holding. It's going to be champagne-tactic. Also I wknt know anyone at all apart from dh and know from experience that mild social anxiety will most prob make me get terribly pissed and badly behaved. Empty calories agogo for me today. Have a good day y'all!
Ps thanks for tips I had some pepto bismol last night and sorted out my sore tum.

froubylou · 18/06/2016 11:44

Ugh I feel shocking. Away at the seaside and very off plan. Fish and chips yesterday plus pizza for tea. Crosain't this morning and and a bacon sandwich. I feel really bloated and yuck and everything has tasted greasy. Not much choice where we are for healthy options either.

It sounds silly but I am.looking forward to getting straight back on it Monday afternoon. In fact Monday morning. Will have fruit for breakfast and lunch if I have to!

waitingforwombat · 18/06/2016 16:35

Oops - food so far today
Early Father's Day pancakes with fruit and lashings maple syrup
Massive national trust scone with butter, jam and a mountain of clotted cream.
Not exactly on plan!

MamOfTwo · 18/06/2016 16:54

I am a disgrace to this thread! I missed last week's WI so went along this morning and I had a mahoosive gain - I am talking a fuck ton of weight. Embarrassed to admit this but it was a 5lb gain, gah. Admittedly, I have been off plan for two weeks but it's made me think IF I ever reach target, how will I maintain when two weeks 'off' sees such a hefty gain? WAIL! Why is it so easy for me to put weight on but not lose it?!

MamOfTwo · 18/06/2016 16:57

Right, after that pity party post I have now slapped myself round the face with a bottle of Frylight and am ready to start afresh. Will catch up on thread and get inspired! I want to be one of the 3 stone plus losers!

ALemonyPea · 18/06/2016 17:00

Mam, some of that 5lb will be fluid, so get drinking water.

Comeonmommy · 18/06/2016 17:51

Mam - I feel your pain!!!!! I lost weight and felt really proud of myself so left the group. My thinking was all I have to do is keep going but just pretend I'm still going to group. To start with I was really good but over the months my 'junk' food has just crept up and up so I'm back on the diet the lifestyle. Having messed up before I am keeping a diary and weighing myself every week - I am hoping if I weigh myself every week, even when I'm on target the weighing will just be second nature. Please feel free to laugh when the same happens this time Wink. Keep going everyone. We will all slip up at times but the important thing is that we get back in plan, even if it takes a few days Smile
