Thank you!! 3lb to my 4 stone award, determined to try and get it in the next 2 weeks so I have it before I go on holiday! Grinning from ear to ear here!

I bloody love Five Guys. Especially the drinks machine!

muminthecity · 15/06/2016 17:02

I've not been on for a while, had a terrible week away and put on 4lbs Blush. Have been back on track since last Thursday though so hoping to see a decent loss at WI tomorrow. Congratulations on all of your losses! Today's meals:

B: Orange, peach and raspberries
L: Pasta with a tomato and basil sauce, peppers and courgettes and some grated cheese (HEA)
D: Chicken legs in barbecue sauce (syn free SW recipe) with rice, salad and homemade coleslaw (1 syn)

I'll probably have some toast tonight if I get peckish as my HEB with some low sugar strawberry jam (1 syn). Also have a mini Milky Way in the fridge but I haven't looked up the syns yet!

muminthecity · 15/06/2016 17:06

Just looked up the Milky Way, a 16g bar is 3.5 syns and a 26g bar is 6 syns. The bar I have is 21.5g so how many syns do you think I should count it as? 5?

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2016 17:23

Yes I'd work that out to be 5 syns Mum.

3.5 syns in a Ferrero Rocher. Might have to find some of those bad boys.

Comeonmommy · 15/06/2016 17:26

Well done Emily Star. I am trying to do it without group this time as I found the group session a little strange. Committee members just took over the conversation!!! I am 4lb off being below 11st and I can't wait!!

Today's food looks like this.....
B - cereal/milk
L - left over duck (no skin) with rice, peppers, peas, broccoli, mushrooms (which I don't really like but figured if I cut them up tiny I wouldn't spot them!!!) and sweet corn
S - apple and yoghurt
D - will be chicken, SW roast potatoes with peas, sweet corn, green beans and carrots

Haven't used any syns yet so might treat myself to something chocolaty later Chocolate

waitingforwombat · 15/06/2016 18:51

Wing, thats my go to lunch too - chicken, fat free yog (and a bit of quark), curry powder and mango chutney. Feels really indulgent having coronation chicken, delicious, filling and super low syn. I often bulk it out with mushrooms and then have a very generous portion on a mountain of salad! Having more chicken for dinner - sw jerk chicken skewers (with extra peppers/toms for me), delicious tiny new potatoes and corn. Its been marinating in the fridge all day - smells delicious!

I'm not going to groups, and only weighing in at antenatal clinics so that I can focus on healthy living/making good choices, rather than the numbers. However really pleased today - 22 weeks and at clinic today, I still weigh half a kilo less than booking, and gained less than a kilo since last mw appt at 16 weeks! Mw so surprised she had to weigh me twice!

waitingforwombat · 15/06/2016 19:14

Just properly caught up on thread, colourfulpast need to know the recipe for your pud (&a taste verdict!!)

WingDefence · 15/06/2016 19:17

Well done waiting and good luck tomorrow muminthecity.

I love Ferraro rocher but not sure they are worth 3.5 syns.

D was a delicious syn-free dinner cooked by DH. Pork chop, boulangere potatoes (potatoes thinly sliced and cooked with onions, garlic and stock) and roasted veg. Amazing 😋
Had an Alpen light bar earlier so just 4 syns today but I'm keeping them as low as poss because of the last two days and I've not had time to do any Davina so far this week which I'm sure definitely helped last week's big loss.

Oh and I got my work done by the deadline! Yippee :) Out to a committee meeting tonight and I need to avoid the biscuits...

WingDefence · 15/06/2016 19:18

Ooh which pud waiting?

KittyOShea · 15/06/2016 19:22

Been AWOL for long enough for this to have fallen off my threads I'm on page Shock

Gained the last 2 weeks (1/2lb and 1lb) but lost 2 this week thank goodness!

3.5lbs to go to target which is like to do in the next 2 weeks in time for my sisters wedding.

Congrats to all the losers. Everyone doing so well Flowers

emwithme · 15/06/2016 20:20

Everyone is doing so well!

I went for a curry with some friends (and some people I only know off Twitter) last night. Had planned all day to just have a biryani. Ended up eating "family style" so had a fuck load of everything and it was great. But I am going to so regret it tomorrow morning.

Today's food:

Breakfast: Muffins
Lunch: Peppered salt beef salad, apple, pear, satsumas.
Dinner: Chili con carne with butternut squoodles
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

I am hoping that removing the longer than DH's head hair from my legs will tip me into a loss this week. I am not holding out hope Grin

nomoreheroes · 15/06/2016 20:58

Lol emwithme at shaving your legs! I've got extremely thick hair (on my head well actually everywhere but let's not talk about that) and I seriously wondered if I had it cut short would it make a difference on the scales!

1.5lb off this week. Had hoped it might be 2 but after sts last week at least it's a loss. I didn't do much SP this week, I think 2 days. I might not do any at all next week to see how that works out. How does everyone else get on with mixing SP days in with ordinary EE days...is it better to just go the whole hog with one or the other?

Unicorn1981 · 15/06/2016 20:59

Hi I lost 3 stone with slimming world. Put about half a stone back on and struggled ever since.

PositiveAttitude · 15/06/2016 21:18

Blimey, you lot can chat!! Grin

Well done to everyone who has lost today.

First day and I am struggling with what I am supposed to be eating. I had fresh fruit for breakfast, then my main meal was a SW recipe - chicken hash, with courgette and mushroom, which I was really impressed with and DS, who is a chef, even complimented! I am at college on Wednesday PM, so I took a Graze box with me, thinking it would be healthy option and I realised it is loads of Syns!! Shock And no way do I feel full up now! I don't think I have eaten enough really today. I can't keep on like this or I know I will blow it and just pig out! I need to research more and find out what I can actually have.

Ho hum, tomorrow is another day and I will try and get more organised.

nomoreheroes · 15/06/2016 21:29

Positive there's no way I could manage on just fruit for breakfast - did you have your healthy extras? I usually have porridge or weetabix with milk. And fruit as well. Sometimes if I have time I'll have a cooked SW friendly breakfast (bacon, egg, mushroom, tomato etc) and save the healthy extra for bread at lunch or dinner but check your book as there's loads of other stuff you can have. Now, I'm away to look up that chicken hash recipe. Sounds lovely!

PositiveAttitude · 15/06/2016 22:19

I am really not a big breakfast eater, so it works for me to just have fruit. Wednesday's are my worst day because I am at work for 7am, have to eat my main meal at lunchtime and dont get home from college until 9. Day off tomorrow so I plan to do some meal planning and getting sorted. I am out tomorrow night, though, so I will be saving syns for that.

I would probably prefer to have the "breakfast" for a lunch normally. I suppose that's ok???

maygirl · 15/06/2016 22:24

Hi newbies! A huge for me loss of 2.5 pounds! I'm usually 0.5 pound a week so really pleased. Didn't do anything different that I can think of. Off to reananlyse food diaries!
B porridge heB, milk HeA with cinnamon and honey 1 syn. Had run out of berries or apples which usually put in
L tuna mayo pasta with heaps of salad 0.5 syn for light mayo
D baked potato, ratatouille, cheese 4 syns
Small square Brownie 6 syns
Blackberries.

KittyOShea · 16/06/2016 07:35

So I'm on a big push to lose my last 3 and a 1/2 pounds in the next 2 weeks.

B- porridge, cinnamon, yoghurt, raspberries, half a grapefruit
L- leftover curry from last night
D- SW paella and salad

Syns- 1 sugar in tea, 2 milk, 3 hi fi bar, 6 glass of wine

EmilyK83 · 16/06/2016 08:31

Well done everyone!!

Went to a food festival last night. Ate all the syns. Back on track this morning - and walked 13 miles yesterday, which I'm hoping will counteract some of it...

Today's plan:

B - light and free yoghurt, celery sticks to snack on

L - ham, salad and pickles and miso soup (2)

D - gammon in parsley sauce (2), jacket potato, green beans

Skinny latte as HexA, Alpen Lights as HexB. And no more than 10 syns in total...

WingDefence · 16/06/2016 09:17

Mmmm food festival!

Going to work in a cafe this morning for a change of scenery (I wfh) which I love doing but it's hard just to sit there with only a brew and no food to make it look like I'm actually spending my money's worth there for the use of the wifi! Must stay strong...

B weetabix HexB with milk HexA and bananas
L Probably a salad
D possibly diet coke chicken with rice. Never made it before!

ALemonyPea · 16/06/2016 09:38

Feeling blue today. Walked to school with friend who is doing SW with me had three people tell her how good she is looking.mall three people know us both. She has lost less than me and only weighs about half a stone lighter than me. Nobody has told me I'm looking good. Need a slap or something to get me out this foul mood.

B: baked oats w blueberries (1 syn), orange, melon, yoghurt
D: ham and pease pudding with HEB ciabatta, pickles, boiled eggs carrot sticks, HEA cheese
T: chicken curry and rice. Might have a naan bread for 8 syns

WingDefence · 16/06/2016 12:27

Ah but ALemon there are lots of reasons that could be the case. She could have had her eyebrows don, a different blusher, a new top or bra that made her walk taller and look more confident (and after the first compliment she'd have walked even taller!), they might not have seen her for ages, she could have dyed her hair, perhaps her weight loss looks more noticeable in her face and yours is all coming off your bum - lots of reasons.

Don't be disheartened. friends of mine have only started commenting that I've lost weight recently because I'm making more of a deal about the fact I have been! I can tell the difference in the mirror though and the way my clothes fit and I'm sure you can too.

Everyone's journey is different and I bet you look fab x

At the cafe I had fruit tea and a lovely fresh berries salad.

Buttwing · 16/06/2016 12:59

Really true that wing. Lemony are you still wearing the same clothes? I always find if I'm wearing something new people notice more (even a £4 tshirts from h and m )

I had a fuck up off a night last night I ate 3 bars of chocolate and a small tub of ice cream. Not good. I'm back on it again today this morning I weighed myself and I'd lost a pound not sure if it will stay off after last night!

B- mango and melon
L-baked potato with ham and beans
D- chilli with cauli rice

ALemonyPea · 16/06/2016 13:37

Don't get me wrong, I am pleased for her, Im just dishearted that nobody has commented on my weight loss. Still wearing same clothes as not dropped a dress size yet, but they are noticeabley looser.friend was wearing same clothes, and these were school run mums. I've got lots of lovely clothes though in next size down, hopefully will be wearing them come the summer holidays.

Oh well. Feeling better now anyway. Can't let this break me.

Just been to M&S for stewing steak in a tin (free) and they had strawberries for half price, mjust demolished half a punnet, they're so much nicer than regular shop bought ones.

KittyOShea · 16/06/2016 13:40

I think the loose clothes in the same size can hide your weight loss lemony. On the plus side it means they'll be wowed when they see you in your new ones a size down Grin

M and S fruit and veg always so much nicer just so bloody dear!
