Have faith Ken. And a big poo before you go lol.

Grabbing stuff on the go is lethal. I have completely boycotted bread. Even wholemeal as it's too easy to say 'fuck it i will have a sandwich'. And then you don't have enough speed and come 3pm you are hangry with diets and got your head in biscuit tin!

Wi tomorrow but also star week is due so will be happy with a sts or a small loss. Then we are away at the coast Fri to Mon in a caravan. I won't be cooking but will try and stay on plan most of the time.

But I will definitely be having fish and chips at some point!

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Hm veg and bean soup (though I did nick a few of ds chips)
T. Shepperds pie and veg. Really craving carbs due to pmt.

HeA in coffee, heb will be hifi bars. Syns in gin!

Kenworthington · 14/06/2016 16:55

Haha I'm trying- still blocked up sorry for tmi!
What the Jeff is star week?? ConfusedBlush AF??

Hmmm soup. Could have some skinny soup for tea that should do it

EmilyK83 · 14/06/2016 17:30

Star week = periods. Slimming World term! I don't understand it, haha...

Found some pork medallions in a Mediterranean sauce in Tesco, 1 syn for the whole pack, serves 2. Going to do those for me and mum tonight with roasted veg and a jacket potato. Might even syn some butter...

tabulahrasa · 14/06/2016 17:32

"Star week = periods. Slimming World term! I don't understand it, haha..."

It's because it's a wee star on the tablet is all, lol

WingDefence · 14/06/2016 17:57

I didn't know that star week thing either. I thought it was like being star of the week at school!!

Ken don't give up thinking you've ruined the day. I'm sure your hard work this week will pay off tomorrow and one prawn sandwich won't undo everything. Stick to speed and free food tonight if you can?

I've also pretty much given up bread which is probably my biggest weakness. Oh I could demolish a freshly baked crusty white with lashings of marg and peanut butter/jam/on its own. So I don't have any. A couple of small slices of wholemeal don't cut the mustard with me and I'd rather use my HexB on cereal or oats etc.

But everyone approaches the plan however it works best for them don't they? After today's huge syns I've done much better. Tons of cauliflower with the beef & ale stew and just a small amount of bulgar wheat on the side. Wish I could get my hands on these new free Danio yoghurts as I'm getting bored with muller lights.

Lil41 · 14/06/2016 20:06

I've been doing slimming world for 16 weeks now and have lost 2st 5.5lbs. I'm really struggling this last couple of weeks. Has anyone else hit a bit of a wall?!? I've got another 2stones to lose and don't want to fall off the wagon completely!

WingDefence · 14/06/2016 21:09

Wow Lil that's amazing going - well done! Wiser people than me will come on with tips I'm sure but I've read that changing up your food choices eg your HexAs and Bs helps, different/more exercise, more SP days etc helps?

Lil41 · 14/06/2016 22:16

Wing, I've spent the last wee while going over all the books again and searching for new recipes. Think you are right, I need to mix things up a bit. Smile

PositiveAttitude · 15/06/2016 07:38

Would you mind if I joined you? I went to slimming World group last night for the first time ever. I have never done anything like this before, but I am huge and have been all of my adult life.

I went along with DD1 (24). I was a bit of a yo yo dieter for years, then moved to Cambodia and lost 4 stone without trying, but just by eating an Asian diet of rice, rice and more rice. Since returning to the UK in 2014 I have overindulged and have put most of that back on.

I have never tried any group before, so I am hoping that I find that encouraging and can keep to it, but I am confused about what I seem to be allowed to eat. It all seems too good to be true!!

Well done to you all on your weight losses. It has been very encouraging lurking on here and seeing how positive you all seem and how things have been going for you all.

froubylou · 15/06/2016 07:45

Hmmph

Wi day here. My scales show a 1lb gain. Bastard af. Going to the 11.30 instead of the 9.30 class to see if I can pee a bit out. Feel very bleurgh and bloated.

B. Coffee
L. Hm soup
T. Chilli and jacket potato.

Lil41 · 15/06/2016 07:58

Hi Positiveattitude!
Well done on joining! I'm sure you'll get the hang of it all quickly. Smile

Lil41 · 15/06/2016 07:59

Froubylou, it's so disheartening at times! Good luck at class. Smile

EmilyK83 · 15/06/2016 08:42

Morning all! Currently walking over to a group near my mum's to weigh in - it's over an hour's walk so am hoping I'll sweat some more weight out en route Grin

Today will be as follows:

B - skinny latte (HexA) on the way back from group
L - picky bits from the fridge
D - am off to a food festival in London with my mum, so it'll be free samples for dinner! And 2 Alpen Light bars in my handbag as my HexB if I need them...

Good luck today frouby!

WingDefence · 15/06/2016 09:06

Hi PositiveAttitude and good luck frouby and Emily!

I made overnight oats with six very squidgy and juicy apricots and FF natural yogurt. But it was too filling (never had that before) so I've saved half of it for mid-morning. It was bright orange Grin

I've got a ton of work to do so better get on. If you see me on here before later afternoon, shout at me please Blush

Kenworthington · 15/06/2016 09:37

Fucksake. Half a lb on. So annoying. I blame the bunged-up-ness from cutting out the wine! Last week I lost 2.5 and had drunk 3 bottles over the week!!

obrigada · 15/06/2016 10:05

Morning, have been absent from thread for a couple of weeks, will read back over it when I get the chance. Weighed in last night and lost 1.5lbs, lost the same the previous week Smile.

petitpois55 · 15/06/2016 10:32

Picked a bad week to start SW, as had three meals out. I was hoping to maintain, but lost half a pond, so happy with that. Must try harder this week though.
Not finding the plan difficult to stick to.

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2016 11:03

Welcome newbies.

Went to Five Guys yesterday. Don't even want to syn that, so counting yesterday as a fail and restarting. Beginning to hate Tuesdays.

SP day I think, should set me right

B: 1st HEB Baked oats (1 syn), orange
D: chicken tikka kebabs (1 syn), salad, asparagus
T: bolognese with courgetti and added mushrooms and peppers, HEA cheese

Snacks: pufts (3.5 syns) and 2nd HEB apricots

froubylou · 15/06/2016 11:38

Phew went to early class to get it out the way and managed a 1/2 loss. It's not much but I would usually put on thank fuck week so gonna take that!

Lemony just start again today. I have been having 1 or 2 meals out or takeaways a week since starting. I have still lost every week. As long as you are on plan most of the time you will still lose even if not as much. Or at least you won't gain as much if you had been eating normally and then the off plan meals.

Ken you need to have a big clear out lol. Could you save some syns for a sneaky glass if wine if that normally does the trick?

nomoreheroes · 15/06/2016 11:57

Well done losers...ooh, Lemony, there's a new Five Guys opened near me and I would love to try. Bet it was worth it!

Ken, I feel your pain - I have struggled to go to the loo properly a lot since starting SW, especially when I do SP days. All that fibre and protein needs way more water than I remember to drink! This week I have had less SP days and more bread and real butter (synned of course), and I am crediting this with helping things to get moving better. Might be worth a try? My diet before SW consisted of such huge amounts of bread that I think it was a shock to the system to nearly cut it out completely. Plus I think you need fat to, errrr, lubricate things!! BlushShock

Weigh in later, but dangerously for me I am working from home in close proximity to the fridge. Have already had a few syns but nothing that will sit too heavy in my tummy as if that makes any difference at this stage!

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2016 12:17

I think I will just have a treat after WI every Tuesday to get it out my system as can usually stay on it all week. Had a busy weekend. With birthdays and stuff, so my 1lb loss wasn't unexpected.

I need 3.5 for my club 10 and 5.5 for my 2 stone loss. Feels great that I've lost all that and not really faulted massively. I find going to class helps, when I've done it online, if I had a bad day, I'd just give up for the full week, and gain, it's a vicious circle which I seem to be breaking. I've been on this for 9 weeks now, longest I've stuck to a diet.

No more, there are 2 Five Guys opened near me, and I've been dying to have one, so I did. It was lovely, but massive and think I should have just got the small one. Would probably get the small even if not dieting. I didn't get chips, but had a few of DHs.

EmilyK83 · 15/06/2016 13:01

4lb off. How the hell did I manage 4lb off?! I even went to Boots on the way back and weighed on their scales as I thought the group ones must've been wrong...but they were the same!!! That means I'm now under 11 stone for the first time in donkey's years...and my bmi is healthy!! I can't stop smiling!!!!

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2016 13:17

Nice one Emily, well done Flowers

Buttwing · 15/06/2016 13:21

Yay Emily well done that's amazing you must be so pleased!!!

What's five guys or do I not need to know?!!

I'm having an sp day today, I met a friend for breakfast at a very healthy, posh cafe this morning. The sort of cafe where everyone looks like they've never eaten a carb in their life and all look very zen like having just come from their 6 o'clock yoga class.

I had bacon, poached eggs, spinach and tomatoes. It was lovely.

WingDefence · 15/06/2016 13:26

Okay so I know I should be working (not had a very productive morning so far Blush) but I have just eaten my huge lunch and thought I'd catch up.

Well done everyone who has lost!

L massive salad with some peri peri chicken (free) mixed with a bit of FF yogurt and 1 syn mango chutney. Delicious.
