Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

I have been eating crap all week and am considering leaving as I just have no motivation now I'm pregnant (and sick and tired). I'm only really going as I really like my consultant (and I need to help her out on social team and packing up) and she says she wants to talk to me about options - one of which I suspect is calling target then announcing pregnancy which I may do if it's that or leave. I won't even be able to go to some of my normal meetings soon because DH is doing consultancy work and I have to have DS.

It's lovely to catch up on how well you're all doing though x

ALemonyPea · 27/04/2016 16:12

Oriana, I have much respect for you. I'd have quit the instant I got a positive pregnancy test Blush

You can always take it up again once your baby is here.

Buttwing · 27/04/2016 16:32

I agree with lemony oriana I think you're doing brilliantly. All I wanted to eat in my first trimesters was mashed potato, white bread and salt and vinegar chipsticks!
I found it easier to eat healthier once I stopped feeling sick still managed to put on five stoneBlush

peachypips · 27/04/2016 16:54

Can I ask how many syns in a tablespoon of half fat grated cheddar? I can't find it online.

randomer · 27/04/2016 17:28

banana lady be kind to yourself

KittyOShea · 27/04/2016 17:33

Fuming! 1lb off. Couldn't have been any better this week! Lost 2lbs last week and I had a night away with big meal out and tons of drinks. Grrr

OrianaBanana · 27/04/2016 18:06

Thanks guys Blush Currently eating a carrot and actually feeling good about it (not had too much fruit or veg recently) so I've made a speed salad for tomorrow to which I'll add salmon and prawns.. so not completely lost it yet (let's hope I eat it)! Dreading WI tonight tho. Not even sure what the scales should say any more!

NB What is it with Chipsticks?? Salted ones were all I could eat through the nausea last time!

Kitty don't despair, I often found a bad day or two took two weeks to show. Keep going! 1lb off is still brilliant.

Sixpencenonethericher · 27/04/2016 18:43

Hi everyone good luck with all your weigh ins
I'm doing really well but my dd and dh have been having about 4 takeaways a week I've managed to resist up till now but it's really getting hard now and I'm disabled so he normally cooks tea

EmilyK83 · 27/04/2016 19:08

Oriana - you're amazing!

Kitty - I'm sure it'll show next week...

Sixpence - sounds like he needs a kick up the bum to show some support! Maybe give him some fakeaway recipes so you can all enjoy the same thing?

Twinkle - wondering if it's because of the seeds, they're quite high in syns...

KittyOShea · 27/04/2016 19:22

Thanks ladies. Feel a bit better now.

Oriana sounds like calling target is a good idea. Must be impossible to be trying to lose weight while pregnant and still keeping you and baby healthy.

Sixpence that must take some willpower. Can you have a chat with DH about how hard it is to resist when it's right there in front of you?

Oh. My. God. New favourite meal - burrito bowls! We've got rice mixed with coriander and lime juice, refried beans, sweetcorn, Mexican chicken slices from Asda, lettuce, homemade salsa (tomatoes, red onion, jalapeños, coriander and lemon juice), fat free yoghurt instead of sour cream, and HexA cheese! 😍😍😍

It was so good, Kitty - having exactly the same again tomorrow night as we have tons of leftovers! May need to be a weekly meal in our house I think!

KittyOShea · 27/04/2016 20:34

I am definitely giving this one a go. Don't have an asda nearby so hopefully sainsbos or tesco do something similar for the chicken!

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 27/04/2016 20:37

Looks yum!

I had Quorn sausages, sweet potato wedges and roasted courgettes and tomatoes. Having the rest of it for lunch tomorrow. Now eating an apple and my HEA cheese.

EmilyK83 · 27/04/2016 21:01

Just checked the app, Kitty - Tesco apparently do a 200g pack of Mexican fajita chunky chicken pieces which are 0.5 syns for half a pack...also Old El Paso refried beans are free on SW :)

Twinklestar2 · 27/04/2016 22:11

Thx Emily. Your dinner looks delicious!

maygirl · 27/04/2016 22:53

Will also be copying that dinner Emily!

Post wi g+t 2.5 syns and 2 biscuits 4 syns
Peachy, 1 level tbsp cheese is 5 g, so 0.7 syn for half fat, heaped tbsp is 10 g , 1.4 syns

Eating at other peoples for dinner every night now until Monday . Hope the damage isn't enormous next week Shock

calzone · 27/04/2016 22:55

3lbs off!!

No weightloss since December and as soon as I need to maintain , I lose!!!

justamo · 27/04/2016 23:43

Blimey Calzone! Amazing! Have you done anything different?

I fear a gain tomorrow, I've been rubbish this week. my will power vanished yesterday and I couldn't find it today either. Far too many temptations at work and I've succumbed. Today I was offered cake and turned it down only to cave when they asked incredulously 'really?'. Annoyed at myself and I didn't particularly enjoy it. I'm sure I can feel my lardy backside stretching Sad

WI in the morning and it's going to be a gain, I need to go and face the music don't I?

froubylou · 28/04/2016 07:08

Well done loses!

Need to think about what to get for tea for me and dp. Kids eating out tonight. Lunch is homemade soup from yesterday.

Thursdays are always a danger. Nearly the weekend, am busy all day Thursday and usually just us two eating. Plus we are surrounded by takeaway.

Need something relatively quick and easy. Tempted to get some fish and veg and new potatoes. Is parsley sauce high syns? The ready made stuff? Don't have my pin to check yet.

calzone · 28/04/2016 07:30

Frouby- you could make your own parsley sauce with the cauliflower recipe......

I have been mindful about what I'm eating so no binges this week. Apart from that, nothing different.

BasinHaircut · 28/04/2016 08:29

Yesterday I wrote a big post about how rubbish I've been but that actually if accidentally been on plan yesterday but it seems to have not posted!

Doesn't matter anyway because when I got home last night my house was in absolute chaos and couldn't get anywhere near the sink/oven or hob (having some plastering done) so we had to get a takeaway Blush.

I'm out to lunch today but breakfast, lunch and snacks will all be on plan and syn free.

I actually feel so run down as we have been eating so badly. Constant headaches and even thrush (sorry TMI) so am bucking up my ideas!

I really can't wait for July, when my new fancy kitchen is finished and we have somewhere to sit and eat properly (not the sofa) and I'll be so in love with it that I will want to cook and eat delicious things every day.

At the moment it's just a chore in a crappy dysfunctional kitchen.

KittyOShea · 28/04/2016 08:30

Sometimes it just works out that way calzone! No more though so you don't end up paying for falling out of target!

Frouby calzones cauliflower suggestion is a good call. I checked the app- sachets of the powdered parsley sauce are between 3.5 and 5 syns before you add any milk, ready made up sauces are between 9 and 12 syns Shock although that's for the full pot not one portion.

Today's plan
B- porridge, yoghurt, raspberries, cinnamon
L- ryvita (4.5 syns) with salmon, salad and a little Mayo (1 syn)
D- mallons sausages, mash and veg

Syns- sugar 1, lunch 5.5, hi fi 3

EmilyK83 · 28/04/2016 08:33

Wow calzone!!!

Beautiful day here today, lovely and sunny - always makes me want to eat better!

Plans for today:

B - chopped strawberries and ff yoghurt

L - I fancy making soup. Not sure what sort, will mooch down to Asda and see what veggies take my fancy

D - burrito bowls again - dp will be home late tonight so I made extra last night...going to have mine without the cheese today so I can have a skinny latte as my HexA.

Cereal bars as HexB, as standard. Keeping the syns low again today to try and minimise the damage from Tues night...
