Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Lemony it's shit isn't it. I am always the same. Lucky to lose a lb a week after the first few weeks. Am not sure if I have lost anything at all this week and I have mostly been on plan. It really pissed me off when people sit there and say how sho ked they are to have lost 3ln because they have been out twice and had chocolate etc.

And it's no good saying that if it's slow to come off its slow to go on either because I know it goes on like lightening!

I am going to do some sp days too. Going to get tomorrow out of the way then try and do until Friday teatime without potatoes /pasta/rice etc.

Been out for lunch with my friend. I was very restrained. Had chicken breaSt topped with veg, salad and a jacket potatoe without butter. She had a huge carvery and dark chocolate cherry cheesecake.

I really wanted cheesecake and if it hadn't been Wi day tomorrow I would have.

I better have lost ffs.

Squashybanana · 24/05/2016 18:17

Also very rarely lose above 1lb. It's one of the reasons I am now an online member, I found it so depressing to be on plan all week and lose 1lb whilst others boasted about eating curry and drinking wine and still lost 3lb! Anyway 1lb off this week. Next week is half term which I always find hard. Anyone got any good tips?

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 24/05/2016 19:01

started today well, but then had another bloody funeral buffet which gave me the choice of quiche, cheese savoury butties (urgh) or collapsing in a starving heap.

However, I did not have an ice cream when the kids did, and I am having a SW meal for tea. and wine, but fuck it. sick of funerals

ALemonyPea · 24/05/2016 20:04

Thanks everyone. Have not had the best day food wise. Going to write this day off and restart afresh tomorrow.

I might do a few SP days to see if they help.

muminthecity · 24/05/2016 20:10

Lemony - are your friends bigger than you? Only asking because I joined SW with a friend and I lose 3-5lbs per week while she loses her 1/1.5lb. She was annoyed by this until I pointed out that I have about 5 stone to lose to get to target whereas she only has 1.5 stone to lose. Even at our current levels of progress she will still reach target before me! My friend felt much better and a bit more positive when I pointed this out.

muminthecity · 24/05/2016 20:12

Today's menu:

B - banana
L - nothing (busy day at work, no time to eat)
D - leftover spaghetti bolognese with cheese (HEA) and salad
S - none of far. Might have some low sugar jam on toast (HEB) in a little while

Buttwing · 24/05/2016 20:18

It's really crap lemony when it's like that. Really feels like pulling teeth maybe try a couple of sp days and see if that kickstarts things a bit?

B- nothing
L-hot chicken and asparagus salad
D-beef stir fry and a bowl of raspberries and strawberries

Hea-s milk
Heb1- 2 hifis
Heb2- not had yet

Syns- olives(1),oil(0.5),onken yogurt(2)

Trying to be so good, I really need to get refocused so I'm going to do so for as long as I can manage this week.

ALemonyPea · 24/05/2016 20:27

No, I'm bigger than them. Not giving my start weight but was higher than 17 stone.

I'm getting annoyed as I also have PCOS and that hinders weight loss. I just want to be slim 😭

muminthecity · 24/05/2016 20:48

Ah sorry Lemony, in that case I can see why you're frustrated. My starting weight was also over 17st (quite a bit over!)

Remember though, 1lb per week is still over 3.5 stone in a year, which is enough to make a massive difference! Keep going, you'll get there Flowers

thelionsleeps · 24/05/2016 20:54

It must be frustrating Lemony but keep going and every lb off is one in the right direction. I have not got the hang of sp days but is it worth trying them?

obrigada · 24/05/2016 21:07

Lost 1lb this evening and got my first stone sticker Grin

mumtoblaire · 24/05/2016 21:44

Evening all!

Day 2 going well so far.

B - Strawberries and Activia 0% vanilla yoghurt.
L - 2 x bananas and 3 mini babybel lights (HEXA)
D - Brown basmatic rice, mushrooms, 1/3 jar sweet & sour sauce (?)

Plenty of water and 3 cups of tea with splash of skimmed milk(2)

I am so determined this time but i am on antidepressants and diagram due to a rough time i went through end of last year. Also i started a new contraceptive pill Jan 2015 and i think it has impacted my weigh - gaining far too easily and difficulty shifting it.

mumtoblaire · 24/05/2016 21:45

Twinklestar2 · 24/05/2016 21:56

mumtoblaire · 24/05/2016 22:13

ok so sweet and sour sauce was 11 syns!!!!! for 1/3 of 500gr jar - no wonder i have put on so much weight i was getting through 2 jars a week by myself.

So 13 syns today.

Now having porridge and banana and 1 tsp of syrup (1)

Total syns 14 - didn't think i was anywhere near this amount. More studying of the books is needed by me.

muminthecity · 24/05/2016 22:22

mumtoblaire - a little tip if you like sweet and sour sauce; these are 5 syns each, I use the sauce to add to a stir fry, it goes further than you'd think. I can get at least two meals out of one pot when it's added to stir fried chicken/vegetables.

Morning all

Wi today. Hoping for 1lb so I get my 1/2 stone sticker but not overly optimistic. Sigh.

Have no idea what to eat today either. I might do a stew for tea. Have to go shopping after Wi. Wednesday nights are always a rush around.

And tomorrow might be lasagne or something. Meh. Hate meal planning. No one ever says what they want to eat in this house and then when I pick they all turn their noses up.

Rupeomatic · 25/05/2016 09:25

Morning everyone - will done to all for sticking with it Smile

I feel as if I might just have got my SW mojo back. Foot a lot better (stress fracture 3 weeks ago) and am walking ok again which is helping my mood no end! Half the family were away at the weekend, so made a big SW cauliflower sag aloo and lived off it for 2 days :D it was delicious and definitely got me back in the slimming world game! Finally lost a bit of weight again so v happy.

EmilyK83 · 25/05/2016 10:17

Good luck today frouby, and glad your foot's getting better Rupeo!

Treat night last night was at an all you can eat Japanese restaurant. I stuffed myself silly. Back on it today!

B - fruit

L - ham salad, syns for olives (1.5)

D - going to attempt sweet and sour chicken balls with a couscous style coating like the KFC recipe, but with less seasoning, and the SW sweet and sour sauce recipe from the website (1.5 syns per portion). Will have mine with stir fried veg with oyster sauce (free), boyfriend will also have rice...

Pistachios and an Alpen Light for HexB, skinny latte for HexA...

froubylou · 25/05/2016 10:50

Whoop whoop. 1.5 lbs off. Yay. My new scales are obviously off by 1lb. Phew. So I got my 1/2 stone sticker and certificate. Quite sad how excited I was lol.

B. Coffee
L. Either veg soup or crayfish salad. Not sure which I will fancy yet.
T. Lamb steaks, rosemary roast potatoes, veg and gravy (syned).
HeA in coffee and Heb not sure yet.

We go away mid June and would really like my stone award by then. Will give me some incentive to koko!

ALemonyPea · 25/05/2016 10:53

Today is a new day, feeling better after yesterday, and I CAN do this. Going to try keep my syns low for the next few days to recoup my binge yesterday.

B: scrambled egg on toast (HEB) and mushrooms
D: ham salad with cheesy jacket potato (HEA)
T: salmon and veg rice

Syns: light salad cream (3)

trinitybleu · 25/05/2016 11:41

Lemony - I started at over 24 stone. My first target was to get down to 23.5 st so I could use the Wii Fit Grin

Sometimes I loose a big chunk (like 7lbs one week) but mostly it's a lb here and there and some STS, and yet each week is pretty similar food wise. It does feel like it's going to take forever, but I can also see now that I am now over 10% of the way to my interim target (which is still high at 14 st) so that helps me visualise the mountain as more of a pretty big hill Wink
