Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Morning all! Nice and sunny here in Bristol!

Today's plan:

B - fat free rhubarb yoghurt with half HexB pistachios plus raspberries

L - ham salad - 3 syns for olives and light honey and mustard dressing

D - cod in a tomato and thyme sauce with mash and green beans

Skinny latte for my HexA, an Alpen Light for the other half of my HexB... And probably make my syns up to 10 in chocolate this evening!

peachypips · 23/05/2016 10:55

Thanks guys- so my average day's food diary is as follows:
Breakfast- 17.5g of oats, berries, plain Skyr yoghurt, honey (1.5s)
Lunch- salad with eggs/ham/bacon etc
Dinner: meat of some kind with lots of veg and some carbs
Hex a: milk in tea and coffee
Hex b: the oats from breakfast and one hifi
Syns: activia creamy yoghurt 2.5
Hifi; 6
The rest I save for a teaspoon of oil or ketchup or something.
Drinking 1.5 litres of water.

peachypips · 23/05/2016 10:55

Oh and I attend the class

ALemonyPea · 23/05/2016 11:24

You need to have the full 35g oats for your HEB, otherwise they have to be syned. Bit of a silly rule really. Or you could just have the one hifi bar, which would make your HEB. Then syn the other one which is 3.

nomoreheroes · 23/05/2016 14:39

Oh Lemony, I didn't know you couldn't split your hexb! I've heard lots of my friends doing it...wonder why it's not allowed? Does the same go for hexa?

froubylou · 23/05/2016 16:01

Afternoon all

B. Coffee
L. Veg chilli and rice. Big plate full and felt a bit of a piggy but am trying to eat more speed and it was about 70% speed so I filled right up
T. Salmon, salad and new potatoes.

HeA in coffee, heb hifi lights and syns will be g and t and maybe a spoon of coleslaw.

ALemonyPea · 23/05/2016 16:34

You can split them.mive just reread your post, and you did mention having a hifi. Blush. Sorry, I was juggling a baby at the same time.

Plus I'm an idiot, I've had oats for breakfast and had put Alpens bars for a snack as a HEB, but then I'd be having my HEB twice. Thankfully I had written it down before eating them, so no harm done.

Twinklestar2 · 23/05/2016 19:55

Lunch was a brown rice, chicken and miso pot from itsu, popcorn

EmilyK83 · 23/05/2016 19:57

muminthecity · 23/05/2016 20:46

That looks lovely Emily.

My menu today:

B - banana
L - jacket potato with beans, 2 sausages (2 syns) and grilled tomatoes
D - spaghetti bolognese with cheese (HEA)
S - pineapple and 5 mini wine gums (not sure of syns, 5 normal wine gums would be 3 syns, these were less than half the size!)
Will probably have a couple of hifi bars later if I'm peckish before bed

mumtoblaire · 23/05/2016 21:20

Hello everybody!

Hope it's OK to join? I have done SW before and did really well but we are talking many years ago. Have mostly stuck with WW but do not like the new system.

So I am weighing at home and following a book that is from 2011 but two of my friends attend meetings and have accepted the challenge of keeping me up to date with any changes.

I started today and weighed in at 11st 3lbs Shock but not really surprised!! Looking to lose 3st but breaking it into 4 x 7lb increments.

B - Strawberries and Activia 0% vanilla
L - Turkey gluten free sausage casserole (only 1 sausage cut into 10 skinny pieces), half tin toms, tin of beans, tin of carrots, garlic, 1 gluten free chicken stock cube, 1 slice bacon (fat removed) - Anyone like to take a guess at the syns?
D - 3 egg omelet(sp??), splash of skimmed milk, 2 light mini babybel.

Snack - 2 x bananas

Hope everyone had a good day.

MissHooliesclassmonitor · 23/05/2016 21:31

Just reading your posts, and looking at the food - very encouraging. Im a bit late in the day but starting SW again so I hope it's ok to join you all! Started last Monday from home and have lost 4lbs this week so a good start, but Im usually good for 3/4 weeks then slip badly, get fed up with myself and put it back on Angry
Breakfast fat free yog, banana, strawberries, satsuma. Coffee
Lunch pasta, chicken, carrots peppers. 2 satsumas. coffee
Tea baked potato, tablespoons of light philly (counting 2.5 syns), beans, lettuce, beetroot. Grapes. Yet another Satsuma Smile
hexa - 330 skimmed milk hexb - 2 hifi lights 2 litres water
Snacks - Lidl own caramel and choc rice bar 4.5 syns, extra milk at work in a coffee 2 syns.

It really helps to write it all down, thanks for reading fellow SWers!
total syns - 9 syns

Buttwing · 23/05/2016 22:20

Hi all welcome the newbies and well done to the losers. I gained 1.5 this week but it was deserved.

Em please could you post your lemon cake recipe again please? I'm a women on a mission this week and could do with something nice to have with a cup of tea at the end of a hard days dietingWink

MamOfTwo · 23/05/2016 22:34

I made the 'speedy spaghetti with artichoke, lemon and basil' from the Veggie Deluxe cookbook tonight - it was delicious and really simple to make. Still feeling full now! 1 syn per serving!

froubylou · 24/05/2016 06:26

Morning everyone and welcome to newbies.

Out for lunch today with a friend and my toddler beast. Am planning a baked potato as it's Wi tomorrow so don't want to slip up.

B. Coffee
L. Jacket potato, salad and a topping of some kind, probably cheese.
T. Probably salad and tuna or something. Rest of them having a fry up I think but I won't fancy it after a pub lunch.

HeA in coffee and heb will be hifi bars.

EmilyK83 · 24/05/2016 07:45

Welcome newbies - and Butt, I'm sure that'll come off next week!

Under 2 hours till weigh in. Reckon it should be an OK week this week...

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 24/05/2016 07:51

Balls. Put on 1.5lbs. I need to get back on this.

emwithme · 24/05/2016 09:36

I am hoping that my midweek sneaky weigh in is accurate, because it's showing 3 lbs down. I know it may change, but this is GIANT because it means I'm now at my lightest for at least 7 years. Only got to wait 48 hours (almost exactly) until I know. It would be nice to get a good loss this week, my in-laws are visiting on Saturday for a few days so (a) I'm going to be so off plan it's not sensible - mostly gin, mind you and (b) it will give me the self-esteem boost that I need to deal with The MIL. PIL is super-lovely (we're very similar people), MIL is OK, but even DH admits that she's "difficult". She isn't overtly nasty but you know what its like. Today's preparation task, after work, is to properly clean the fridge. It's currently clean but not MIL clean Grin

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Ham salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Smoked haddock, rice, mushrooms (kind of a deconstructed kedgeree)
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

thelionsleeps · 24/05/2016 11:06

Mamoftwo that spagetti sounds nice.

Wi today and 2.5 off. I really expected a gain this week and was even tempted to postpone class until friday to give me some more time to turn it around so i'm glad I went today. Really need a weigh in to keep me on track. Only .5 until my stone award so determined to have a really good push.

B - weetabix and milk.
L - baked pot probably with cheese and beans
T - cheesy spagetti with spinach and lots of toms, cucumber etc.
Have already had 2 hi fi rocky roads - they are too nice. (I have extra healthy extras because I'm breastfeeding).

Emwithme - 3lbs is fab. Well done you.

EmilyK83 · 24/05/2016 11:44

Ooh good luck em - and well done thelion!

I'm back on track. Weighed in this morning with a 2.5lb loss, so that's now 3st3lb in 20 weeks. So, so happy! My holiday target of 11 stone is now 6lb away - want to get there in the next 5 weeks before I go to Cyprus! Then another stone after that!

Today's plan:

B - none

L - ham salad, syns for olives

D - out for a Japanese meal, I never count the syns on weigh day...

Skinny latte for HexA, a new Banana Milkshake Hifi bar plus 17 pistachios for my HexB...

36mum · 24/05/2016 12:06

Pleased with 3.5lb off today, 18lbs in total, I've been walking loads so hopefully I can keep it up.

trinitybleu · 24/05/2016 13:02

Hello all - lost you all there for a while but happy to report I am now 19.5lbs down and still on it 😀

EmilyK83 · 24/05/2016 13:19

Well done 36mum, fab loss!

Good to see you trinity! 19.5lb is awesome!

ALemonyPea · 24/05/2016 13:26

Afternoon all and welcome to the newbies.

Well done on the losses.

I'm in a proper huff. Lost 1.5 lb which is fine but when you're friends are losing 3/4/5 each time it's a bit disheartening. So I've had a lemon muffin from M&S which I won't count in as I'm so angry.

B: nothing as weigh day
D: M&S salmon and prawn salad which app states 7.5 subs but can't understand as everything is more or less free food

T: calamari and prawn stir fry or salad. Undecided.

nomoreheroes · 24/05/2016 15:35

Lemony, it is disheartening and aside from last week, I tend to be 1lb a week loser. I keep telling myself that that'll be 26lbs in 6 months which can't be bad? Are you eating enough? Have you tried SP? Sorry, still fairly new to the thread so can't remember everyone!
I've no idea what my loss will be tomorrow, I told consultant 3lbs again it I very much doubt it. Doing SP since Sunday though not sure I can face another carb free dinner...
