Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Can you post a few days of your food diary Peachy, maybe we can help.

Are you going to classes or doing it online? My friend was doing it online but has started coming to class and she says online it doesn't explain half the things the 5 minute starter session did.

ALemonyPea · 21/05/2016 20:23

Vegan pizza sounds boring Emily. What have you had for tea?

EmilyK83 · 21/05/2016 21:04

Yep - pizza without the good bits, haha!

I was going to have prawn stir fry...now changed my mind and going to have a red onion and rosemary sausage sandwich with my HexB bread, plus salad...

calzone · 21/05/2016 21:41

Hurray! A good day on plan today!

B.....none
L....3 HEB bread slices, 2 eggs, mushrooms
D.....turkey burger with aubergine, wedges and salad
Big bowl of fruit and yoghurt

Came to bed early to avoid snacking.

justamo · 21/05/2016 21:53

Well done Calzone...hard core!

I'm shattered. Been on the go most of the day. I ache. Not sure if it's from new exercise class yesterday or from 22,000 steps today.

B - bacon, mushroom, egg
L - boiled egg, carrot, celery, tomatoes, laughing cow x 2. Alpen light, banana
D - tiny slice pizza, mackerel, egg, salad. Strawberries, meringue, yoghurt
S - twister ice lolly, chocolate, 2 glasses white wine, haribo, latte.

Feel like I've eaten healthily (excl snacks) but I'm guessing at 30 syns... It mounts up so quickly.

emwithme · 21/05/2016 22:19

Bloody hell, that was a day and a half...

Got up early, went and got my face threaded. Came home to DH in a mood because the cats were scrapping outside the bedroom door (they're 10 month old siblings). Breakfast (including setting off the bloody smoke alarm because I dared cook bacon) followed, then food shopping (yay supermarkets), then home to remember that I forgot to buy a new duvet (because the in-laws are visiting next week and it's bloody cheaper to buy a new duvet than get the existing cheapy one cleaned) so back out I went in the pouring rain.

Came home, had a rest (when I should've been cleaning the bathrooms) DH realised that he hadn't seen the girl-cat for a while. Neither had I. In fact, it had been four hours.

Several trips round the block later, checking with all the neighbours, and a good seven hours after she was last seen, she turns up - freaked, but seems to be OK. She is pissed off that we're not letting her out again and has re-started this morning's scrap with her brother.

I am VERY stressed.

Today's food:

Brunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato.
Snack: Apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Steak, jacket potato, corn on the cob, salad, mushrooms. Made a lovely mustard and quark "sauce"; kind of like sour cream but with a kick.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

calzone · 21/05/2016 22:52

Em....very stressful!

Tomorrow's plan is.....

B....bacon, egg on HEB bread
L....chickpea dhal loaf, mushy peas
D....steak, mushrooms, jacket sweet potato, salad

calzone · 21/05/2016 22:53

Banana milkshake hifi bars are out this week!

Yum!!!!

ALemonyPea · 21/05/2016 23:23

I'll be avoiding those, I really don't like artificial banana flavour.

How do you make chickpea dhal loaf?

ChessieFL · 22/05/2016 10:34

Looking forward to trying the new hi fi bars, I like banana flavoured things. Wish it was banoffee though!

Weigh in yesterday, maintained so still in target (just)! I want to try and get a loss this week though as I've got next week off work for half term and I know we have some days out planned. Even if we take a picnic I still seem to end up using lots of Syns!

ALemonyPea · 22/05/2016 14:06

I'm dreading half term, I usually take the DC out all day, and we eat out, will have to start taking a mini packed lunch for myself.

It's been quiet in here this weekend, hope everyone has had a good one.

I went to Costco this morning, managed to avoid all the free samples.

B: nothing as had a lie in, then went shopping
D: bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, cheese (HEA)
T: Roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, lots of veg, gravy (2 syns)

Will have 1/2 Alpen bars for snacks and HEB

thelionsleeps · 22/05/2016 16:20

Back on track today after a couple of bad days. Bad planning meant that I was super hungry & didn't have any good snacks to hand so it all went pear shaped. I'm sure I will have a gain this week but at least I'm back on it.

B - porridge &frozen raspberries.
L - scrambled egg with cheese, ham and toms.
T - tuna, egg, olive and asparagus salad.

Went for a long walk this morning so hopefully that has walked a bit off.

calzone · 22/05/2016 16:46

Lemony.....it's the easiest recipe ever!!

Cooked rice
3 eggs
Tin of Heinz lentil dhal or chickpea tagine (free)

Mix all together and bake in a lined tin for 20-25 mins.
Serve with salad.

froubylou · 22/05/2016 16:59

That loaf sounds lovely, might have a crack at that.

Made a big pot of veggie chilli this afternoon. Will definitely have some to freeze.

B. Coffee
L. Nothing because we were out and about
T. Veggie chilli and rice.
HeA in coffee and heb probably hifi bars.

Syns am not sure. Might have a g and t later. Just to make sure I get at least a couple of syns in lol.

EmilyK83 · 22/05/2016 17:50

Rude not to, frouby!

I need to try that dhal loaf, sounds like a nice easy lunch option!

ALemonyPea · 22/05/2016 18:14

Liking the sound of that dhal loaf, will have to give it a try.

I've been trying to have very little syns since I ate out Friday night and wasn't well behaved, apart from the Diet Coke.

Made oxo roasties, could have done with slightly longer, but they were nice. Will do them again.

My twat of a BIL is coming next weekend and usually has something to say about my weight. Wonder if he will say I look like I've lost weight.

nomoreheroes · 22/05/2016 18:25

Hello all, hope you're having lovely weekend. I did my usual flexible syn Friday but came in at less than 40 syns (compared to about 70 or 80 last week!!) And as I have very few syns during the week I thought that was ok. But despite good intentions I ended up having nearly the same again last night. Bloody red wine! Wish I could enjoy another drink as much but it's just my fave. Had an unplanned lunch out yesterday and had a yummy chicken salad but of course goodness knows how many syns! Let's not mention the chunky chips I snaffled off DH's plate....

SP day today to bring me back into line:

B Porridge (hexb), milk (hexa), fruit
L Syn free sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs.
D Chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms, onion, parsley and a chopped up Linda Mccartney sausage (the rosemary ones taste like stuffing to me so that gave me the idea and it was yummy!), wrapped in bacon and served with loads of veg.
S Fruit and quark
Syns - gravy 2 syns

Still have a hexb for later if I need it. I will, it's Sunday, I'm tired and have the munchies so it'll probably be a slice of toast. Smile

Tomorrow will have to be an SP day too, this is what worked last week so hoping for more of the same. Halo Grin

Well we were so restrained with DHs cake that's it's gone mouldy and had to be chucked! A first!!

froubylou · 22/05/2016 21:55

Just reporting back on the veg chilli. It was bloody lovely and loads of speed! And really easy to make.

1 pack of casserole veg (fresh)
1 tin of baked beans
1 tin of mixed beans
2 tins chopped toms
A pepper/onion/celery chopped up
Garlic, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, a chicken stock pot, tomato puree

Wang everything in a big pan, bring to the boil then stir and simmer for about an hour and a half. I had it with boiled rice. Will probably just have it.on it's own for lunch tomorrow and froze 3 big portions.

And will also be.payback on dp later on in bed. All those beans and spices will give me a lively arse no doubt. But he had a madras last night 😨

muminthecity · 23/05/2016 00:40
