Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Wow well done all the losers! Everyone seems to be doing really well.

Dp has started healthy eating now. He's not fat at all but has put on a stone through eating junk and has decided to get it off, I'm really pleased he's losing weight but he's pissing me off because he keeps telling what I should be eating and has all of a sudden become the worlds weight loss expert!

He was winding me up this morning saying to our baby "ooh mummy's jealous because daddy's lost 3 and a half pound this week!!" I soon shut him up by cooing back " why would mummy be jealous when she's lost 3 and half stone!!!" Fecking arse!!GrinGrin

B- nothing
L-shepards pie with carrot and swede topping and beans, mango
D-roast chicken, salad and new potatoes

Solina · 18/05/2016 15:55

Im worried I have put on this week, actually I am quite sure I have. Going to the group at 5.30 so will know soon.

Just not really been on plan since sunday and work has been manic with 10 - 12h days so just eaten what I was able to grab as no time for lunch breaks.

I am now going to focus though. Just feeling bit annoyed at myself.

ALemonyPea · 18/05/2016 16:45

Good luck at your WI Solina.

My DH is having some of the meals I'm having, which helps. With a change in job where he no longer has access to a burger van, and SW meals, he is getting trimmer. He has lost half a stone since March. He doesn't really need to lose that much, maybe another 7lbs.

I'm making chicken chow mein in my slow cooker, smells divine.

EmilyK83 · 18/05/2016 17:43

Good luck Solina!

calzone · 18/05/2016 17:59

Weigh in tonight.

Hope it goes well though because our poor consultant is beside herself at having £150 go missing. Am gutted for her.

B.....fruit and yoghurt with HEB Alpen lights
L....chicken, couscous and salad
2 Danone yoghurt, tangerine, carrot
D....cauliflower rice risotto with heck sausages

Solina · 18/05/2016 18:08

Only 1 pound on so I am happy! Considering all the stuff I ate its so much better than I thought.

Didnt stay in group so got soaked instead as its pouring down at the moment.

Bolognese tonight, not sure with what yet, not fancying pasta. Any ideas?

BasinHaircut · 18/05/2016 18:56

Dinner tonight. Chicken tikka pieces and micro pilau rice, with veg curry, spinach and tomato, onion and cucumber salad. Yummy and lots of speed!

How did £150 go missing calzone?! Waiting to WI. Sure it's a gain, not really worried at this point but when the nausea stops I will get back on it Smile

EmilyK83 · 18/05/2016 19:57

Wow calzone - that's not good...poor her!

Well done Solina, will hopefully be easy to get off for next week! Could stuff peppers with the Bolognese and bake them...?

Here's my dinner - Caribbean pepperpot stew from the website with brown rice - first time I've made it, it's so good!

Hello all, I'm new here. I joined last week, having done SW years ago a few times, but put it back on.

My situation is I'm a disabled wheelchair user, so exercise is difficult, and have severe chronic pain which is very linked to my eating (i.e. comfort).

But I'm desperate to lose it for a big birthday coming up next year.

Anyway, my first weigh-in tonight and lost 3 pounds. I was a little disappointed - having lost between 5-7 pounds in my first weeks before, but still pleased.

I have severe insomnia, and late evening/early part of the night is the time I'm struggling. My cravings significantly increase, and I've often used my syns. Any suggestions for free snacks please? Things I can graze on really. I don't mean fruit/veg, I already eat loads, and I couldn't drink more water if I tried. I seem to remember from years ago crisps made out of lasagne? Any other ideas appreciated please!

KittyOShea · 18/05/2016 20:15

1/2 lb off- delighted after my bad weekend. I've increased my exercise a bit this week which I think has helped.

Calzone that £150 is terrible. Hope your consultant gets it sorted.

Glitter I find that smoked salmon pate on a Ryvita is a decent snack. Only 1 1/2 syns for 1 ryvita. The pate is just smoked salmon whizzed up with quark, lemon juice and parsley.

Oh yes that smoked salmon pate is lovely Smile and made fresh I'm pretty sure it circumvents the pate ban in pregnancy?

Half off for me Smile

Twinklestar2 · 18/05/2016 21:03

Hi all
Could anyone tell me which wraps are low syns?

maygirl · 18/05/2016 21:45

Bfree gluten free quinoa and chia or multi grain wraps are 5 syns & 4.5 Bfree gluten free quinoa and chia or multi grain wraps are 5 syns & 4.5 syn respectively or a heB choice. But as gluten free nothing like regulvar soft wraps. Weight watchers syn respectively or a heB choice. But as gluten free nothing like regular soft wraps. Weightwatchers love fibre white wraps are 5 syns. Used to be a wholemeal one that was heB but seems to have disappeared .

Stayed the same at weigh in .I'm pretty gutted, and getting fed up now really Sad

maygirl · 18/05/2016 21:47

Don't know what happened with that message!

GreenBeans17 · 18/05/2016 22:01

Hello, I'd love to join Smile I've been going to SW for a couple of months. It was going okay (I've lost just over a stone) but now I've been awful Sad I put on, for the first time, last week... I'm not going this week (I've had a lot of exam stress (I'm 17)) so I know I'll have put on again! I really need to get back into it Blush I hope this will help! x

calzone · 18/05/2016 23:05

Our consultant does 3 groups......the money in the shop builds up and no one had collected it between groups.

Someone nicked £150! No safety measures were ever in place so it's a lesson learned. No way would I have let the money be left like that......I would wear a bumbag and collect it regularly.

1/2 lb off. Back to target.

HelenF35 · 19/05/2016 06:43

Well done losers.

That's terrible about the £150!

Emily do you have a recipient for the Caribbean pepper pot stew? Your meals always look so good! Smile

HelenF35 · 19/05/2016 06:45

I found it on the website Emily. Couldn't have looked properly the first time! Blush

EmilyK83 · 19/05/2016 07:08

It was that very same one that I used, Helen! Smile Recipe says it serves two, but we've got leftovers...which is great, as it means my lunch is sorted today!

Continuing to mix up my healthy B choices today, so the plan is...

B - fat free cherry yoghurt, strawberries, half HexB pistachios

L - leftover Caribbean pepperpot stew

D - prawn stir fry and noodles. Might even buy a packet sauce to continue down the track of using syns in meals...

Skinny latte as my HexA. Finished yesterday on 12 syns...

EmilyK83 · 19/05/2016 07:09

(And my other half HexB of an Alpen Light as a snack!)

nomoreheroes · 19/05/2016 07:13

Morning all...well my 3 speed days after the extremely flexi syn Fri/Sat seems to have worked - 3lbs off! GrinGrinGrin Definitely feel motivated to keep at it. I'm fairly sure that lower carbs, even if not fully SP, might be the way forward for me. Not today though as I've got the following meals planned!

B: porridge and milk (a and b) banana
S: fruit salad
L: ham and egg salad, mugshot
D: Asian braised beef, rice, sugar snaps/broccoli

EmilyK83 · 19/05/2016 07:39

Nicely done, nomore!

nomoreheroes · 19/05/2016 07:44

Thanks Emily. I might try that pepper pot stew. It's pork though, isn't it...not a massive fan but I guess I could sub chicken? Always looking for saucy Wink dishes that I can chuck loads of speed veg in.

36mum · 19/05/2016 08:12

Yummy breakfast!
