Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

WI last night and I've lost another 2lbs, taking me to 15lbs in 5 weeks & my first stone award, I'm so chuffed. I seem to have settled down to 2lbs a week now after the initial couple of weeks big losses, I'd love to keep 1-2lbs loss up til I get to my target in the hope of being able to keep it off. Long way to go though...

Yesterday evening as a treat I made the SW chicken pizza with a huge salad for DH and I, and it was lovely. DH needs to lose a bit of weight as well, and before now flatly refused to even try my new way of cooking, but he's now said he'll give it a go if it's as nice as the chicken pizza! Such a relief as I was worried about him and his health too.

I just need to find some alternatives for lunch at the moment that I can make at work, I'm getting bored with Ryvita (HeB) with fat free cottage cheese & prawns or ham & salad every day!

KittyOShea · 17/05/2016 11:16

Still going the right direction Emily.

Hopefully it'll show up next week.

Well done SeaLions!

Kitty - hoping for a good week next week. Know where I went wrong this week - didn't drink enough water, and skipped breakfast a few days. Back on track this week - i'm a woman on a mission...

ALemonyPea · 17/05/2016 12:46

Well done losers.

1.5 off for me this week, that's 15.5 in 5 weeks. Feel a bit deflated as had been good all week, apart from Sunday, but barely ate anything then as it was.

Onwards and upwards though.

New yogurts, syn free. Picked some up from Tesco, currently half price at £1.25. I don't like muller light, I prefer a proper yoghurt and these are lovely,

Well done loses! I am very anxious about Wi tomorrow. No scales at home means it will be a total surprise.

I hate surprises lol.

B. A nectarine
L. Veg soup with a half portion of bolognaise sauce tipped in so it will be a bit like minestrone.
T. Jacket potatoe and salad with a small fillet of salmon plus whatever else is lurking in the fridge.

Syns will be light today due to wI so maybe a blob of coleslaw on my salad. HeA in coffee Heb will be muslie at some point.

ALemonyPea · 17/05/2016 13:14

Forgot my meal plan

B: hi fi bar as at WI
D: veg rice with Tesco chicken tikka kebabs (1syns), big orange
T: steak, giant garlic mushroom, spaghetti in chilli tomato sauce

KittyOShea · 17/05/2016 13:21

My meal plan

EmilyK83 · 17/05/2016 15:11

Well done losers!

Forgot my meal plan today too, here it is...

B - none (weigh day!)

L - homemade carrot and coriander soup, sliced ham

D - out for dinner, but it's a Turkish restaurant so should be fairly easy to find something grilled that's not too high in syns...

Skinny latte as my HexA, not sure about HexB - want to mix it up again this week rather than just going for cereal bars...

maygirl · 17/05/2016 17:34

Well done today's losers!

Mixing it up a bit today and on SP
B boiled eggs, beans, mushrooms, heB roll. HeA milk in coffee

L h/m roast pepper hummus, 1 syn as used a little tahini with 2 ryvita, rest of Heb2 5 pecans . Carrots tomatoes cucumber baby corn
1 lindt chocolate ball 4 syns
And just baked DH bday cake, and 'checked' the mixture a bit so no more syns today Blush . Baking is a big danger zone for me!
D chicken fajitas in lettuce wraps for me and wraps for family .Raw peppers, cucumber, corn, tomatoes, salsa , and bean salad. Change of plan or would have kept an heB for a yummy wrap. Got some of the bfree ones .Will try to hide some of the chicken from DS and DH so I can have for lunch tomorrow!
Big bday for DH later this week with loads of meals out celebrating, worried I'll put loads back on 😣

Squashybanana · 17/05/2016 18:47

I lost 1lb! Though it's depressing that this brings me back to where I was 3 weeks ago!! Still, it's 1lb no longer there. Then undid all my good work by doing a drive through McD's and ordering for the kids, found myself ordering a double cheeseburger and fries. 34 syns. Arse.

emwithme · 17/05/2016 19:21

Well done losers!

Spent an hour cooking and prepping after work for the remainder of the week's breakfasts and lunches. I now have breakfast muffins and tuna pasta salad all ready in the fridge so I don't need to think about anything in the morning (I am not a morning person).

SP day today:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Peppered salt beef salad, with quark dressing. Apple, pear, satsumas
Snack, while prepping: Few raw mushrooms, cherry tomatoes.
Dinner: Diet coke chicken (from freezer...had planned on having chicken goulash, but picked out the wrong bag last night!) with diced courgette and mushroom...and a NSV because I stopped when I was full, even though there was only a little bit left on my plate. I need to undo a childhood of "clear your plate" which is very difficult for me, particularly when something is tasty!
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars
Syns: White chocolate options in quark (2 syns), Pufts (3.5 syns)

maygirl · 17/05/2016 19:49

I'm the same with feeling the need to clear my plate Em. I'm careful with my DC not to do the same, DD is excellent with not getting over full but DS often complains the foods too nice to stop eating when full and tries to overide his limits! My mum still tells them they've 'done well' when they eat a lot at a meal Hmm.
Well done with losing this week Squashy. Just work out how many syns you have left for the rest of the week , it won't be as bad as u think. Smile

HelenF35 · 17/05/2016 20:23

I've been awol a few days but another 3lbs off this week. Got my club 10 and only another couple to go for 1 1/2 stone. Grin

Today's food

Breakfast 2 slices wholemeal toast (he) with lurpack lightest 2 Syns
Pineapple

Lunch
Tuna baked potato with salad cream and salad 2 Syns
Mullerlight

Dinner
Chilli with extra veg, cheese (he) and rice free

Treat
Mini tea cake 4 Syns

Total 8 Syns

ALemonyPea · 17/05/2016 21:06

I've actually lost 16lbs in 5 weeks, not 15.5. No idea why I thought less. That half a lb certain counts Grin

thelionsleeps · 17/05/2016 21:18

Some great losses on here - 1/2 lb loss for me today. I was a bit disappointed but have lost 10.5 lbs in 3 weeks and realised that I have been a bit free and easy with the syns this week so determined to have a good week.

Have been sitting down today to do some meal planning to stay on track.

froubylou · 18/05/2016 07:03

I wish I was on to lose 15lbs in 5 weeks!

Wi in for me this morning but not feeling hopeful. Have been on plan most days but it's first day of star week so feel reall bloated. Will go anyway as I want a magazine and might pick up some hifi bars.

Ordered some new scales yesterday which will be here today. Apparently they measure body fat so will be interesting if not traumatic to see! Hoping it puts a rocket up dps bum who keeps telling me he is muscle not fat. He has a huge beer belly which really doesn't bother me other than for his health. Our have also ordered a body tape and caliper thing so no saying that the scales are wrong!

B.coffee
L. Soup I think from yesterday.
T. Salmon stir fry . The rest of them are having scampi and chips. Bet they all want mine but if I said they were having stir fry they would moan!

KittyOShea · 18/05/2016 08:10

Weigh in for me this evening and am hoping for a maintain but think a gain is more likely after the weekend.

B- porridge, fruit, yoghurt
L- leftover chilli from last night
D- chicken curry (after weigh in)

Syns- 2 sugar, 2 hi fi

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 18/05/2016 08:10

Buy the lemon meringue hi fi bars, they're bloody lovely.

Bit of a long day for me and had breakfast earlier than I like and lunch will be later.

B: 2 Alpen bars, yoghurt, orange, pear
D: ham or tuna salad
T: chicken chow mein

36mum · 18/05/2016 08:16

I lost 2.5lb this week, I was determined I wouldn't feel like I did when I only lost 1lb the previous week. So I've tried to get my 10,000 steps in each day, one day I did 22,000! Also totally cut out fizzy drink (sugar free) as I'm convinced it retains water.

5 weeks into the plan and a total 16lb loss which I'm pleased with. My double chin has reduced slightly and my snoring to.

maygirl · 18/05/2016 09:29

Wow everyone's doing so well
Today's SP plan
B wrap heB, leftover hummus and lettuce .HeA milk in drinks
L leftover chicken fajita in heB2 wrap with bean salad, salsa and salad
Lindt choc ball 4 syns
Fruit if hungry,
Weigh in followed by baked mackeral and veg

My DH has lost at least 9 pounds that he didn't really need when stopped buying lunch at work and taking packed lunches of SW leftovers, he was already eating SW dinners but chip and pizza lunches used to balance him out! More of a £ saving mission than health one for him but he's got v skinny , doing better than me Envy

emwithme · 18/05/2016 09:35

Don't buy the lemon meringue hifi bars, you'll probably like them and then be really pissed off when you can't get them in a couple of weeks' time because they're being discontinued, as are the toffee apple and the peanut ones. The (new) banana milkshake is released in about a fortnight (IIRC from what my consultant shared on FB the other day).

I am still feeling really bloated, almost squishy. Not sure why as it's not TOTM, I ovulated last week. It's really annoying. I've cut right down on my diet coke this week, and coffee is going to be reduced from next week (this is part of a staged plan to reduce it to one cup a day for TTC purposes...and so that work don't notice when I go from a coffee every hour to none!)

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Cottage pie, carrots, cabbage, runner beans.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

nomoreheroes · 18/05/2016 09:46

Sooo nervous today, weigh-in day. You are all doing so well but I have never been able to lose more than a pound or two a week. I had a biggish blowout on Fri, smallish one on Sat but did SP then for three days (except for one banana in desperation) and minimal syns. My scales are doing my head in (I know, I know, step away from the scales!) - I could be 5lbs heavier from morning to night...but yesterday I really thought I had lost maybe 3lbs and by today it's back on. Angry Confused So roll on this evening so I can find out for real.

Today's menu:

B: Weetabix (HexB), milk (HexA) banana, orange
L: Tuna salad
D: Bacon and butterbean soupy/stewy thing (tomato based, loads of veg) (after weigh-in so may have some crusty bread with it...or might be sensible and have rice!)
S: Mugshot, plums if I absolutely have to eat something before weigh in.

obrigada · 18/05/2016 09:54

2.5lb off last night, really expected to have put weight on as I was off plan at the weekend.

EmilyK83 · 18/05/2016 10:43

Well done losers - and good luck to those weighing today!

I'm starting to mix things up today - going to try eating different healthy extras and using more syns in meals rather than bingeing on sugar in the evenings to see what happens...

So, today's plan:

B - berry muesli (HexB) with fat free cherry yoghurt and strawberries

L - leftover homemade carrot and coriander soup, two cheese straws for dunking (5) and a hard boiled egg

D - Caribbean pepper pot stew with rice and veg

Skinny latte as my HexA, may use the remaining 10 syns for snacks but not sure as yet!

froubylou · 18/05/2016 11:44

Well 1/2 off but am very bloated. I have huge norms at the best of times but pmt makes them at least a cup size bigger. So am quietly pleased with that. Plus next week should be good if I stay on plan.

Got the lemon meringue and jam roll poly bars. They are lovely but very, very sweet! Will be hiding them as ds has already snaffled one and dd likes them too. But they eat mine and then eat their own while I am sat with a banana!
