Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Oriana, I was the same during first trimester, eating rubbish to survive and too sick and tired to cook. Thankfully felt much better from 13/14 weeks, and has made it much easier. Just keeping going is the important thing, I was tempted to give up. Really glad I didn't though - otherwise I'd have continued eating rubbish, even when I didn't "need" to anymore. Added bonus to lose an extra few pounds early in trimester 2 too.

froubylou · 13/05/2016 18:39

Hello all

Just logging in

B. Museil and yoghurt
L. Jacket potatoe with salad and a smidgen of cheese.
T. Indian takeaway. Not decided what I am having yet but friday night is treat night! Also 2/3 g and ts.

Then tomorrow onwards back on plan. 1.5 off would give me my 1/2 stone award. In 3 weeks which is pretty cool.

MamOfTwo · 13/05/2016 19:02

I have just cut my nails in the hope it might help me with the WI tomorrow Grin

ALemonyPea · 13/05/2016 19:05

Haha Mam, I shave my legs and pits the night before my WI. every little helps

EmilyK83 · 13/05/2016 19:12

Don't forget about washing your hair too, I do mine the morning of weigh in every week as I'm sure clean hair weighs less... Grin

froubylou · 13/05/2016 19:12

I make sure I have lots of f food and lots of water the day before Wi. When I did i when I was bfing I used to positively encourage ds to have a big feed before wI.

Every little does help lol.

ALemonyPea · 13/05/2016 19:21

I even have a wee just before stepping on the scales.

emwithme · 13/05/2016 19:29

I wee just before leaving the house (and poo if I can).

I wee on arrival at group.

I live a 2 minute walk from group...but I still have to squeeze out the three drops that are there...

KittyOShea · 13/05/2016 19:41

Evening all.

Great losses and tremendous pictures.

Have been well on plan the last few days averaging about 7-12 syns per day.

Today's menu was
B- porridge, yoghurt, cinnamon, raspberries, orange
L- salmon salad with honey and mustard dressing (1 and a 1/2 syns) a smidgeon of grated very low fat grated cheese (counting 1/2 syn) fruit.
D- 3 x 1 syn sausages Blush and vegetable risotto

Syns- lunch 2 syns, dinner 3 syns, hi fi x 2 6 syns and sugar 2 syns. 13 today.

Doing very flexible syns tomorrow as I'm at a formal and have no choice over what I'm eating. I do have a choice of what I'm drinking but am planning a few glasses of prosecco and a couple of gin and slim. Hoping I avoid a gain for being really good the rest of the week!

Tea at my dads was lovely, he really made an effort for me. He made me boiled ham, pineapple, salad, boiled eggs and beetroot salad. Usually he makes 17 different types of potatoes, a tinned pie and frozen veg Grin. Some think 2.5 syns for the salad cream, which I can live with.

froubylou · 13/05/2016 20:12

My tea was lovely. A stuffed pepper for starters and chicken saag for the main with boiled rice. Hopelessly over but it was definitely worth it.

A strange thing happened though. I nicked a corner of dps nan bread and couldn't eat it. It felt really odd eating it. Very stodgy and dry and just unpleasant. I haven't been having bread at all and wonder if my taste has really changed so drastically in 3 weeks?

I hope so. Sandwich and a bag of crisp for lunch has definitely contributed to my lard arse!

And now after a lovely curry I would be thinking or something sweet. I am contemplating an apple!

ALemonyPea · 13/05/2016 21:28

It's SW mentality Frouby, I am the same, it's weird.

I long for a decent curry though, the SW ones aren't nice. Think I'll have to have a play with some spices.

BasinHaircut · 13/05/2016 21:29

I just ate my dinner at it was amazing but I forgot to take a picture! We tried the 2 chubby Cubs Greek turkey meatballs and spaghetti. If you haven't - try it!

maygirl · 13/05/2016 23:09

There are some good curry recipes in the SW curry magic book :)

I love this thread! I was trying to list all the ideas I've got off from here that I use regularly, its loads, so thanks everyone!

SP day today, was mega hungry at about 3pm and had loads of snacks but managed to stay on plan

B o/n oats heb, berries.
Hea milk in hot drinks

L sw quiche with eggs, cottage cheese, jarred peppers, tuna and cress with a salad. apple

snacks: pastrami with beetroot and peppers, melon, benefit bar heb2, arla protein + raspberries 1 syn
circuits 1 hr

D veg rich bolognaise, courgette, wine 10 syns

maygirl · 13/05/2016 23:13

sorry I mean Curry Heaven book, not magic! Blush

MamOfTwo · 13/05/2016 23:17

Good to know I am not alone with my weird pre-WI ways! Been browsing through the Veggie Deluxe cookbook (not veggie but eat little meat). May also buy Free Feast cookbook tomorrow. Hoping I can find a few recipes I can make regularly. Anyone got any faves? In other news, I discovered that those Lotus caramel biscuits are only 1.5 syns each, mmm. Sadly, I cannot be trusted to have a whole packet in my house!

cece · 13/05/2016 23:35

Went to first weigh in yesterday and lost 5 hand half pounds. Feeling OK. Would like to pound and half this week so I can get my half a stone.

HelenF35 · 14/05/2016 07:38

Mam I wish you hadn't told me about Lotus biscuits. I also love them and definitely cannot be trusted with a packet in the house. I'm not usually a biscuit fan but I love them. I will have to try and resist the urge to buy some now! Grin

HelenF35 · 14/05/2016 07:43

Lemony http://www.thespiceoflife.co.uk/about.asp do curry spice packs with recipes on the back. A lot of these can be adapted for slimming world by using spray oil instead of ordinary. They taste amazing! There are ingredients lists on each of the curry descriptions so you can tell which ones you can adapt. I've been using these for 18 years and can honestly say I hardly ever order an Indian because these make nicer curries! Grin

BasinHaircut · 14/05/2016 07:44

mam I've started looking in the 2 chubby Cubs website for recipes and so far so good!

lemony if I make a SW curry I replace the yoghurt with quark which IMO tastes a bazillion times nicer. If it's the yoghurt that puts you office it a try.

Well I've just weighed in and last weekend I was 11st 9lbs, now I'm 11st 5.8lbs so 3 and a half off!!!!

That's quite a result for a half arsed effort but I know that it will be mainly water weight and the real work starts this week Shock.

ALemonyPea · 14/05/2016 07:54

Well done on the losses.

Will take a look at that website Helen, thanks.

Basin, I meant the read meal ones, not keen.

The two chubby Cubs have the same consultant as me, but go to a different meeting. I'd love to go to theirs as I reckon it'd be a right laugh.

I need to go food shopping, terrible!

EmilyK83 · 14/05/2016 08:03

Well done cece and Basin - great losses!

Well...I went over by about 7 syns yesterday. Decided to have a cheese straw, which are 2.5 each - and had forgotten how much I love pastry, dammit...

Back on the wagon today! Although I'm off to a food festival later so will see how it goes!!

The plan:

B - strawberries

L - jacket with cottage cheese and salad (hoping a filling lunch will help me be good)

Skinny latte while walking to the festival (to fill me up even more)

I'll avoid the glass of bubbly that I get as part of my VIP ticket at the festival!! But I'm bound to have some tasters, so will count those as my syns for the day

D - chilli con carne, rice and salad

Alpen Light and a Benefit bar as my HexB!

I can either get a bus up to the festival or walk...walking will take a good hour, so I think I'm going to do that - get the body magic in!!

ALemonyPea · 14/05/2016 10:03

Managed to do a little bit of food shopping. Phew.

B: fruit and an Alpen bar (hexb)
D: salmon and rice noodles with stir fry veg
T: pork chop, curried beans, jacket potato, salad, cheese (hexa)

Rupeomatic · 14/05/2016 10:16

Morning everyone - well done on some brilliant losses!

WI today, and have stayed the same for second week in a row. I know it's because I am barely leaving the house (stress fracture in my foot) and while I have been pretty good with sticking to plan I do make the most of all the free food I can have.

I tried making a banana bread recipe I saw online for low syns. Urgh - maybe I got the recipe a bit wrong, but it was v bland. It went straight in the bin - so I guess that saved a few syns Grin

MamOfTwo · 14/05/2016 10:31

Hope your foot heals quickly, Rupeomatic - must be frustrating not to be able to get out and about. Only half a pound off for me this morning but pleased with that as thought I'd gained. Total loss 12.5lb - must have a focused week to get my 1stone next week. My meeting flits between two rooms and I am sure the scales in one room (wooden floor) make you weigh less than the other room (carpet floor)! Oops, sorry about the Lotus info Helen! Will deffo check out 2 Chubby Cubs - thanks, Basin. Have a good weekend, all!
