Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Well done losers!!

I don't keep food diaries anymore - I plan my evening meals for the week on a Friday night and then go shopping on Saturday. My breakfasts are always fruit and yoghurt, and my HexA and HexB are almost always the same - plus I make sure I have a range of things in for lunch - jacket pots, salad bits, cold meats, eggs, homemade soup etc. Think I'm finally at the stage where this feels "normal" and not like a diet...

froubylou · 11/05/2016 10:58

2lb off this morning! So 5.5lbs in 2 weeks. Or 10.5lbs in 3 weeks if you count the week I did it alone.

ALemonyPea · 11/05/2016 11:25

Well done to the losers

Will pick some of that up today then Helen. I'm useless with spices, so that's a bonus.

Breakfast was all to pot this morning, bought some melon and it was horrible. Strawberries are mouldy as well. Couldn't go back out as waiting for a repair bloke coming. So had an orange and Alpen light bar.

B: Alpen light and orange
D: tuna salad
T: chicken fajitas

HEB - Alpen bar (might have another for a snack)
HEA - cheese on fajitas

Buttwing · 11/05/2016 13:47

Wow everyone is doing really well, well done to all the losers!

I've got my mojo back for now!

B-Mango and a banana
L-baked potato, beans and bacon
D-gammon,egg,chips and peas

Not enough speed today but had loads yesterday I might have some broccoli with the gammon even though it's the law that you must have peas with gammon in this house!!

I don't keep a food diary as I find it makes me obsess about food all the time but I do jot down if I have syns in the day so I don't forget.

I've just been and done a big shop at aldi and I bought some Oreo cookie copies they are 3 syns each and really nice.

EmilyK83 · 11/05/2016 13:57

Well done losers!!

Today for me (determined to stick to plan despite being home alone till Sun night!)

B - strawberries and ff rhubarb yoghurt
L - burrito bowl (cheese as HexA)
D - turkey stir fry

Alpen Lights as HexB. Discovered that Asda do bourbon ice cream sandwiches - and custard cream ones too - so going to try and pick some of those up shortly!

While I'm there, I'm tempted to buy some size 12 cheap summer clothes to keep me motivated for our holiday...

waitingforwombat · 11/05/2016 16:07

Hi all, posted in pregnancy thread too, but thought you seemed like a friendly supportive bunch to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I'm 16 weeks, but have had 3 mc last year, so have essentially been in first trimester for about 12 months. I scoff Pringles and hula hoops to stop morning sickness, which along with dd's baby weight, which I hadn't lost, my booking appt was a bit of an eye opener with an overweight bmi!

I'm just following by myself, as I have lota of clients at my local meetings! Trying not to be hung up on weight, as I realise that Im going to gain. Mainly following mw appts, but I think I've lost about 2kg, whilst gaining a lot of boob and tum!

Does anyone know when I can expect to start sts/gaining??

Really enjoying eating healthily. Feeling much better for it. Avoiding boom and bust of sugar highs/lows def helps

waitingforwombat · 11/05/2016 16:13

Oh, meant to post todays menu....

B: Fruit, yog (liberte 0%), granola (hex b)
S: Skinny latte (hex a)
L: Jacket pot, beans, cheese (2nd hex a), grilled mushroom, toms, peppers
D: Tagine from this months magazine, but pork instead of lamb due to brain failure at supermarket. Rediscovering joy of slow cooker, with cheats frozen onion/pepper/sweet potato, making throwing together sw meal super quick.

maygirl · 11/05/2016 18:13

Sorry to hear about your losses Waiting xx I haven't followed sw whilst pregnant, so not sure . I should have done as I gained 4 stone both times! I did follow it whilst bf though and its great to follow then when get too hungry to follow any other type of 'diet'

I keep a food diary, and also note down recipes I want to try from this thread or sw blogs in there .Can also look back at my own meal ideas to 're-inspire myself!

B weetabix heB milk heA
L cold chicken, raw veggies, free dressing, 20g feta 3 syns
Peach

D after weigh in will be SW slow cooker pulled pork with extra veg added, peppers and carrots. Family have eaten theirs and say its good Smile
First time using slow cooker, got one as a bday present last week!

KittyOShea · 11/05/2016 18:25

Woo hoo lost the 3lbs I put on last week. Very happy with that. 6lbs to go...

Titsywoo · 11/05/2016 19:42

Just went to my first meeting. Oh my God what a bore! And because people were going on for 10 mins each about their incredibly dull problems (which mainly had nothing to do with weight loss) the whole thing overran and I had to leave before my weigh in and payment so couldn't take my books etc away. I'm raging!

maygirl · 11/05/2016 20:01

Put on 0.5 again, pretty fed up 😭

EmilyK83 · 11/05/2016 20:01

Whoop whoop well done Kitty!!

Titsy - that's annoying!!! Are there any other groups near you?

ALemonyPea · 11/05/2016 20:25

Welcome Wombat. I'm not sure on the rules when you're pregnant, but there is someone on here who is pregnant, unsure if she's given in though. I think you're amazing following it when pregnant though, I filled my face when pregnant, it was the perfect excuse. Paying for it now though.

I've discovered hula hoop pufts. 3.5 syns and about as close to crisps as I'll get. Not worth the syns for a proper packet.

EmilyK83 · 11/05/2016 20:28

Haven't done a food pic post for a while! Lunch was a burrito bowl with brown rice, sweetcorn, Mexican chicken, shredded lettuce, homemade tomato and red pepper salsa and half my HexA of cheese.

Dinner was turkey mince cooked with Chinese five spice, soy sauce, onions, lemon juice, ginger and garlic, plus stir fried veg...

Lemony I bloody luffs Pufts. They are just crisp-y enough to satisfy my crisp need, but not so crisp-y that I then need to have several packets of salt-n-vinegar Walkers.

I am not holding out much hope for tomorrow's WI. Apart from the fish-and-chips-and-a-99 on Thursday I've been on plan, syns are under 105 for the week (unless I dive into the treat cupboard in the next 12 hours, which isn't going to happen) but I feel ridiculously bloated and just generally squidgy. Oh well. This isn't a sprint but I'd fucking wish my marathon time was a bit quicker

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Mackerel salad (1.5 syns), apple, pear, satsumas. I have spent all afternoon having fishy burps Envy Grin . It's a good job not many customers actually come to our office!
Snack: Pear, mugshot (1 syn)
Dinner: Cottage pie (2 syns), carrot, broccoli. Fruit & yoghurt.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

I am off work tomorrow (the man who came to look at my squeaky cooker last week has got the part to mend it) so I can stay to the whole of group rather than having to run out to work after the first half hour of IMAGE therapy. I am a bit annoyed though because I've just gone to make myself overnight oats (having bought a lovely reduced punnet of berries and some yoghurt when I nipped to the supermarket earlier) and I've got no fucking oats Angry , so it's fruit & yoghurt for brekkie tomorrow. Oh well. I can come home at 11.30 and do a fry up so it's not that bad.

BasinHaircut · 11/05/2016 21:39

Dinner pics from me too. Was a sort of frittata I guess, made it sort of like the pastitsio topping.

Fried some speed veg, whisked eggs, quark and Parmesan together, poured over and stuck in the oven for 20-25 mins. Was lush, just served with spinach.

Ooh that sounds and looks amazing Basin!

calzone · 11/05/2016 23:03

So, 2 weeks not really knowing what I'm doing at target and I gained 4lb.

Am still in target range as am now 11 stone 4lbs but would like to lose 2lbs next week......It's pretty tricky being at target and that's not meant in a boastful way.....

Tomorrow

B.....fruit, yoghurt,
Snack.....bacon sandwich
L....beef stirfry and noodles
D....smoked salmon salad and sweet potato wedges
Peach, grapes, banana

justamo · 11/05/2016 23:31

I'm a fan of lists so I like to keep a food diary but I often forget to fill it in or I'm selective as to which days I record Grin

Today has been crazy at work and I've lost track of what I've eaten. Too much chocolate has been consumed so I'm well over on syns but 'proper' food has been SP again. I feel slimmer so I'm hopeful of a loss at WI tomorrow

justamo · 11/05/2016 23:36

Calzone, have you been given any advice about staying at target? Are you still following SW and having extra syns? It seems I'm doing a good job at maintaining by doing that... Trouble is I'm meant to be losing Blush. I hope you start to enjoy finding the right balance.

Solina · 12/05/2016 07:46

I joined again a week ago and went on the scale yesterday. 8.5 pounds off and a half a stone award. Couldn't believe it as I have not had a great first week due to other things going on in my life and I thought I would be happy with just 1 off. So I was quite excited yesterday!

Im going to have to buy the countdown soon though because previously I have failed when I missed group and eventually didnt feel like I wanted to go back so if I commit I might actually get to target at some point.

I have about 9 stone to lose overall but my first target is about 4.5 stone away.

BasinHaircut · 12/05/2016 09:02

solina that's great! What a start!

Today will look like this:
B- weetabix and almond milk (1syn)
L - leftover frittata and spinach
D - Greek turkey balls (2chubby Cubs) with spaghetti and green beans for speed
Sn - Pom bears (5syns) and small toffee crisp (5syns)

I'm not too fussed about being high syn at the moment, even if I don't lose I just want to stick to the plan and get back into the groove.

obrigada · 12/05/2016 09:23

Solina, when I joined I bought the 6 week countdown because I knew it was the only way I would really commit.

EmilyK83 · 12/05/2016 09:37

Wow well done Solina!

Calzone, it sounds really tough being at target - guess a case of trial and error to see what works and what doesn't...good luck this week!

Basin - if you're still within syns it's all good - they're there to be used!

My plan for today:

B - raspberries, fat free rhubarb yoghurt and a matcha green tea

L - stir fried veg with Asda Chinese chicken slices

D - leftover turkey mince from last night with a jacket potato, cottage cheese and veg

Skinny latte as HexA, tempted to go to Aldi and get more Benefit bars as my HexB - think I prefer them to Alpen Lights now...

Finished yesterday on 11 syns, dp being away meant that I could curl up in bed with a film on my laptop and a treat plate! Think the orange Options hot choc is my new favourite flavour...

BasinHaircut · 12/05/2016 11:26

I'm not sure I'm staying within syns though Emily Blush

But I think that if I can get my meals back on track then the rest will follow.

I am in a weird limbo place where I really wasn't to commit to it properly but life is just getting in the way. That sounds like a massive excuse (and it partly is) but my kitchen is a semi-building site and my 2yo DS isn't sleeping and is being very demanding all round. It makes cooking, shopping and planning drop down my list of priorities. I've also just increased my working hours so the routine has changed and DH has been working away for at least a couple of nights/week recently so I've been trying to do everything myself.

I am a bit of an emotional eater but can happily stuff my face with delicious syn free SW meals. BUT at the moment I find it hard to prepare them with a child hanging off my leg and I really like to sit down in peace and eat my evening meal to get the full enjoyment but as DS isn't sleeping I can't wait until he is in bed to eat as its too late! So I end up sharing my crappy dinner whilst DS is climbing all over me. So then I feel like I've missed out totally and reach for a snack. It's lose/lose!

So I'm just doing what I can...
