Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Definite well done - I'm off to a food festival next weekend and don't think I'm going to be as good!!

But it's hard when writing about food is my job! Grin

emwithme · 08/05/2016 21:14

peachypips · 08/05/2016 21:17

Wah I'm feeling really low. I have been absolutely bang on plan this week and I stayed the same when I weighed in on Fri. It really discouraged me and so this weekend I've gone off plan. I know if I'd just kept going I would have had a big loss this week, and now I've ruined it. Sad

ALemonyPea · 08/05/2016 21:22

Tesco and Asda both sell them Geepee.

Peachy,mi was the same on Tuesday after my WI. Draw a line under this weekend and start a fresh tomorrow, just try not to use all your syns.

peachypips · 08/05/2016 21:25

Thanks Lemony. I'll try and do 10 syns a day for the rest of the week. It's depressing when you are so on plan and lose nothing!!

ALemonyPea · 08/05/2016 21:32

It is horrible. I stuffed my face after Tuesday WI. I totted up the syns afterwards, and was 67 Blush. I've been good the rest of the week with my syns though, so hopefully I'll have a loss.

peachypips · 08/05/2016 21:44

Good luck! You've given me the bum-kick I needed to ten syn the rest of the week. Onwards and upwards!

Eveninties · 08/05/2016 21:49

Just joined few days ago but I'm struggling to stick to just 15 syns. Although my diet has been a million times better since joining then it before!

Eveninties · 08/05/2016 21:54

I get really shaky and ill feeling (sugar drop?) when I haven't eaten for couple of hours when I'm on my period- usually I would stuff my face with chocolate until I felt better. What can I eat now when this happens?

ALemonyPea · 08/05/2016 22:05

What are you using your syns on? If you fancy something sweet, have Alpen bars as your HEXB.

What about having some fruit salad/boiled eggs/ham with gherkins rolled up ready made in the fridge to snack on.

Emily has a great low syn list which she shared and I got lots of ideas from it, like Lindor balls are only 4 syns for one.

calzone · 08/05/2016 22:37

These look good

I was dreading my sons party today because party food is my biggest weakness. I was really good though and only had 1 slice of Swiss roll and nothing else. I was worried if I started I wouldn't stop but somehow I managed to stay on track.

MamOfTwo · 09/05/2016 00:58

Argh, have done it again - went off plan yesterday and today. So cross with myself. Will be playing catch-up rest of week now. Think that is the danger of a Saturday am WI, I am kind of treating it as a 5-2 type thing which is not good. Will make extra effort to prep lunches etc this week and try and do the odd bike ride (dusted down my bike the other day and went for a ride when the kids were in school and I should have been doing housework! It felt great! Grin Emily going to look back for your low-syn treat list. Have a good week, all!

MamOfTwo · 09/05/2016 00:58

Argh, just realised it's 1am - must get to bed!

Notsofabflab · 09/05/2016 04:27

Hello Smile

I'm playing with the idea of joining slimming world this week as I've heard it's a healthy plan and you can do it while breastfeeding (extensive 3am googling is my source of knowledge on this).

I'm 5,7 and I think I weigh around 15 stone. I've always been 'big' but since ds was born (three weeks ago) I've piled it on!

I've been munching my way through the night on biscuits/cake etc. as ds is up every hour to feed anyway.

I want to lose around 5 stone (I haven't been 10 stone since I was ten years old!) so hopefully will be on this thread looking for inspiration in the months to come!

HelenF35 · 09/05/2016 06:44

3lbs off this week GrinGot my stone award finally!

Today's plan

Breakfast

Turkey bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, scrambled eggs and wholemeal toast (he) with lurpack lightest 2 Syns

Lunch
Baked potato with cheese (he) and beans and salad free

Dinner

steak with slimming world chips, tomatoes and asparagus free

Will have some kind of treat but won't be wine for a change as an on antibiotics that you can't drink with. Sad

maygirl · 09/05/2016 07:29

Hi notso, sw is great for breastfeeding as can have loads of additional yummy healthy extras!
even I usually go for a big bowl of yogurt or fromage frais if get that weak with hunger feeling between meals . Also definately have some chocolate for your syns. I like sweet freedom choc shot, just the Orange spice flavour though, on top of yogurt and mini meringues. It's 0.5 syn per tsp .
Well done Helen!!

Notsofabflab · 09/05/2016 08:12

Oooo I don't know what extras are but I like the sound of them!

That's great Helen shame about the antibiotics though. Grin

It seems like you can get some really good losses on this plan.

I'm going to join up at a group near me tomorrow morning. I'm quite nervous but really looking forward to it too!

BasinHaircut · 09/05/2016 08:47

Hi all.

nots good luck at your meeting!

Helen well done thats great!

I'm back today properly. I am taking a friend out to lunch as she is having a really hard time, but we are only going to a cafe so will have a jacket potato with no butter and beans and salad. Or I might have an omelette (no cheese) and salad.

For breakfast I've had weetabix and decided to try some almond milk as its really low syn so better to syn that than real milk and means I don't have to use up my HEXA on milk and can save it for cheese! Yippee! Tasted ok, just about to try it in a cuppa.

Making a slow cooker lasagne (2 chubby cubs recipe) for dinner which sounds delicious which will also do for lunch tomorrow. Served with broccoli and carrots.

I'm actually excited about the plan this morning so hopefully that translates into me sticking with it for more than 5 minutes.

And to top it all off the sun is still shining! Happy Monday!

EmilyK83 · 09/05/2016 08:49

Bit annoyed, weigh in tomorrow morning and this morning my scales are telling me I've only lost a pound this week. I've been so good bar the normal treat night on Tues - and it was less of a treat than normal!

Hoping this coming week will be a good one though - dp is away so I'm home alone, so I can eat what I want without having to think about whether or not he'll like what I'm cooking Smile

Today's plan:

B - fruit

L - leftover spicy tomato, lentil and sweet potato soup

D - lemony chicken and asparagus stir fry with rice noodles

Skinny latte as HexA, HexB split between an Alpen Light and some pistachios. Definitely trying to keep the syns low before tomorrow morning...

I've been asked to join the social team at my group tomorrow too, so turning up early this week!

BasinHaircut · 09/05/2016 09:01

Emily remember a loss is a loss!

You are doing so well, I always think how marvellous you seem to be at SW when I read your posts.

You eat for a living and are still losing weight. That's amazing!

KittyOShea · 09/05/2016 10:07

Congrats Helen Flowers

Emily I've had a few weeks like that- I the plus side it usually shows up the next week.

Today's menu

B- egg muffins, 1 slice toast and butter (2 syns)
L- salmon salad and fruit
D- chicken curry

Syns- 2 butter, 2 sugar, 3 hi fi

Not been eating anything too unhealthy just too much of everything! Emily would you post your low syns list again please? I can't find it.

EmilyK83 · 09/05/2016 10:38

Thanks Kitty and Basin - just frustrating this week as I've been trying so hard!! Fingers crossed it'll show next week...

Even - I posted it again a few posts back Smile
