Congratulations oriana Thanks is it your first baby?

B-fruit
L-prawn stir fry
D- not sure yet

Too much chocolate again. I'm seriously thinking about trying to give up sugar.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 14/04/2016 20:27

Congrats Oriana! Amazing! I am so jealous hah! I found I lost weight while pregnant, was rather slim after giving birth and then the bloody post partum cake-and-biscuits period got me with a vengeance. Hope you have a happy, healthy, non-eventful pregnancy! Flowers

OrianaBanana · 14/04/2016 21:03

Thank you everyone! It's my second baby (hopefully) - DS is nearly 5 (been trying for a while). I was so sick in the first trimester that I got straight back to my pre-pregnancy weight after the birth - and then ate tons of chocolate and cake etc as breastfeeding burns calories right? Well, not that many! And then I just kept creeping up... Shock

ALemonyPea · 14/04/2016 21:27

Congratulations Oriana Flowers

Did anyone else feel really bloated when they first stared SW? I feel so bloated and uncomfortable.

OrianaBanana · 14/04/2016 21:33

Lemony I did I think it was all the fruit and veg. It went away...

Buttwing · 14/04/2016 21:44

Lemony me too, and dreadful windBlush sorry tmi!
It did settle down quite quickly though.

KittyOShea · 14/04/2016 21:44

Yes at the start lemony. Now I feel that way if I have something very synful. Crazy how your body adjusts!

Buttwing · 14/04/2016 21:45

Oriana there is five years between my first two (girls) they get on really well (most of the time!)

ALemonyPea · 14/04/2016 21:51

I am very windy Blush. Glad it settles down.

calzone · 14/04/2016 22:20

Congratulations Oriana!!

I started SW in January 2015 and it took me a year to lose 3 stone. I haven't lost any weight since Xmas so I upped my target a little.

I was 14 stone 3lbs when I started and am now 11stone 3lbs.

In an ideal world I'd like to be 10stone 7lbs but until I commit to some proper exercise, that ain't gonna happen.....

Top tips

Meal plan
1/3 plate speed vegetables
Surround yourself with support.....FB, IG, join the social team
21 meals a week......you don't need to ruin a whole week by having a non SW based meal
Get back on plan ASAP
Go to weigh in every week even if it's a gain.

I will try and do more before and after photos......sorry it's the same ones again.

calzone · 15/04/2016 07:19

Thanks Basin......

I have had a lot of syns the last couple of days so need to wind that in......

doistayordoigo · 15/04/2016 07:49

Lemony I have just joined SW just over a week ago and I am also terribly bloated! It's reassuring that others feel the same way. When people say it settles down quite quickly how long roughly, as I'm in my second week now and not much sign of it settling yet!

I lost 2.5 lbs in my first week so I think it's working in terms of weight loss, but I know I'll get demoralised if I actually look fatter due to bloating!

EmilyK83 · 15/04/2016 07:56

Doistay and Lemony - make sure you're drinking enough water too - I found that when I upped my water intake a bit after I started, the bloating started to go down a bit...

Calzone, you really do look fab!! An inspiration to us all!

I still can't shift this cough, it's been nearly a week now and I'm so annoyed! Had an unintentional sp day yesterday and only 7.5 syns, so there are positives though, haha!

Today's plan...

B - oatbran (HexB) made with water, with grated apple and cinnamon

L- the remains of my lamb, lentil and vegetable soup

D - chilli con carne, rice and salad. May treat myself to some grated cheese on my chilli for my HexA (or may go down the standard latte route, not sure yet!)

Will try and keep syns lowish again today - I normally have pretty much my full 15 each day, so will be interesting to see if a few days of under 10 will make a difference for next week's weigh in!

KittyOShea · 15/04/2016 08:53

SP day for me

B- scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, grapefruit, 2x toast (am stuffed!!!)
L- chicken salad, oranges, Apple
D- leftover chicken tarragon with stir fried veg

Snacks- 2 x hi fi (hexb2)

Syns- 1 sugar, 4 butter on toast and there's a buffet in work today. I'm sticking to my salad but might snaffle a couple of cocktail sausages.

emwithme · 15/04/2016 09:39

WELL DONE CALZONE and CONGRATULATIONS ORIANA

Oriana - don't forget to tell your Consultant that you're pregnant. You get extra HEs...

Lost 1.5 lbs yesterday and am now under 14 stone for the first time in about 4 years Grin celebrated last night with pie and chips...all my boss's fault, he went to the chippy at lunchtime and all afternoon all I could think about was steak and mushroom pie. Bastard.

But, back on it today:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffin, banana
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Cottage pie (1.5 syns), carrots, cabbage.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

randomer · 15/04/2016 10:38

wow calzone....inspiring. congrats banana lady

OrianaBanana · 15/04/2016 11:38

Thank you!

emwithme she knows but I feel a bit of a fraud eating extra cheese when I'm only 5 weeks!

B - mullerlight (0.5), coffee (HExA)
L - leftover chicken chasseur and rice (1), apple
D - steak and SW chips with mushrooms and tomatoes
S - crisps (8.5), clementine, grapes and pear

ALemonyPea · 15/04/2016 13:56

Feel a little less bloaty today, just. Have been drinking around a litre more water a day, so that's helped.

Have had a bit of an odd day today and had to do food shopping, which might be easier doing online or with a list in future as got myself very confused. Did manage to get 6 X 750g 5% fat beef mince for £3 each though, so that's gone in the freezer and will come in handy.

B: chopped banana, peace and melon with yoghurt
D: beans on toast with cheese (heb + hea), salad of mixed leaves and cucumber, carrot and gherkins, pease pudding, and 2 tbs 30% reduced salad cream (3 syns)
T: chilli and rice, unsure of what speed to have

I'm struggling to convince myself I can have up to 15 syns a day freely. Care to inspire me with your syn treats? I'm usually a crisp and cracker girl, might have some crackers with butter tonight.

longlivetheking · 15/04/2016 19:27

Sorry for the absence, have been so busy with kids off and starting a new job.

Haven't been very on target, but managed to get my 2 stone award finally on Tuesday, and hit my original target! I've moved that to another half a stone lighter now though.

Massive congrats to calzone and oriana. ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks

Well done everyone else as well. Will try and be on here more often now things settled a bit!

justamo · 15/04/2016 19:27

Lemony I have no problem eating my syn allowance, not going over it is my problem! I have a sweet tooth so a couple of biscuits/squares of chocolate and it's game over. Having said that I've been rather restrained today I'm only up to 7 syns - unlikely to end at 7 though. Enjoy your crackers.

B - mushroom omelette
L - mackerel & rice salad, banana
D - squash, sweet potato & spinach curry - it took forever to prep the veg... There's a lot to be said for pre prepared bags.
Snacks - hifi bar, 2 squares chocolate, 1 biscuit.

Buttwing · 15/04/2016 20:00

I gave up sugar today. I have a real problem with it so I've decided I'm not going to eat it anymore. I'm not really telling anyone in real life but the chocolate, squash, biscuits, hifis, and muller lights are all gone.
I just have no self control. I'm still eating fruit but not any artificial sugars. So today has looked like this

B-coffee
L- spinach, ham and poached egg
D- roast chicken, salad, peppers, corn on the cob

Snacks- pear and a tangerine.

It's actually been fine but I always find the weekends harder so we shall see what tomorrow brings!

ALemonyPea · 15/04/2016 20:02

I ended up using 10 syns for cheese on top of my chilli Blush Was rather enjoyable.

I've just cooked a batch of breakfast muffins as well, they smell lovely, hopefully will taste just as nice.

HelenF35 · 15/04/2016 20:43

Today's food

(slinks back in....)

Hello my lovely slimmers, I weighed in today after 4 weeks off plan - including Easter holiday away when the wine and chocolate flowed.

I have gained nearly half a stone Blush but I am back on plan and hopefully will see a couple of pounds lost by next week.

today:

B: 2 x toast (hexB) with low fat cheese spread (1/3 hex A), marmite and tomato
L: Lamb tagine (2s) with rice and pomegranate. Muller.
D: Stir fry beef and brocolli. Muller.

Remaining HexA in teas all morning.
