Disappointed with just 1lb off tonight but at least it's off. Onwards and downwards and hoping for more next week. It's not a quick fix is it :-)

Hay135 · 07/04/2016 06:54

Gruffalo not a quick fix but a lifestyle change. I get annoyed when I don't get the loss I want/expect but it will come if you stick to plan (I sometimes need reminding of that).

Been on plan 100% so far this week but struggled to avoid temptation. Been up with a poorly toddler in the night so it's gonna be a long day I feel tired already an I have a friend coming round later! Gotta be strong and not reach for crap because I'm tired Hmm anyone want to follow me round today and remove any off plan food from my hand before I eat it Blush

WeShouldOpenABar · 07/04/2016 08:06

when I actually weighed in today I was only .5 lb up not 1.5lb, a relief but its given me the kick up the arse I need, I'm away in two weeks I want to be down 3 pound by then to give me some space. Speed foods galore!

scribblegirl · 07/04/2016 08:10

So I had first weigh in yesterday - 12st 2. 2lb over my 'worst case scenario weight' so feeling pretty Shock

So here we start - 2 and a half stone to go...

OrianaBanana · 07/04/2016 08:21

You can do it scribble! What are you eating today?

BasinHaircut · 07/04/2016 08:34

Morning all. It's been busy on here!

Emily I agree you are always so chirpy and it's very nice to hear/read! You have reminded me of the delights of pastitsio with your photo too, haven't had it for a few weeks, but stick it on the meal plan for next week! Mmmmmmm

I don't so speed foods properly either Blush. Sometimes I just can't think of a speed food to go with a particular meal. Breakfast especially as I don't always fancy fruit in the morning so it's cereal and no speed most days. Need to work on that. I always do a third speed at my evening meal though so I know I've reduced the size of my biggest problems DH and I used to eat ridiculous amounts at dinner!

I am having an off plan lunch today. I'm meeting an old friend for lunch and we used to have a tradition of chips with cheese at the pub so I'll be having that. Really really naughty but it's been arranged for ages and haven't seen them in about a year so I'm just having it but making sure dinner is on plan.

Breakfast - weetabix and skimmed milk
Lunch - chips and cheese (probably a million syns)
Dinner - salmon, sweet potatoes, roasted mushrooms, peppers, onions, carrots
Snacks - apple and banana

justamo · 07/04/2016 08:48

Thanks for the reminder trinity I'm aiming to repair the phone today Wink

maygirl don't be too tough on yourself, maybe your muscles are holding on to some water, trying to repair themselves from the weekend's effort. Maybe next week the hard work will be rewarded?

Off out with the Dh and dcs in a bit so no WI this week. If I go next week and by some miracle have lost a ton of weight would I be in the running for slimmer of the week even though it's been 2 weeks since WI?

scribblegirl · 07/04/2016 08:52

Thanks Banana! Little shellshocked at the moment but fingers crossed that'll translate into motivation?!

B: Fruit at work... Apple and maybe an orange (I'm not a huge breakfaster anyway)
L: salad with chicken, green beans, gherkins, broccoli and balsamic vinegar
D: Aubergine lasagne with cottage cheese instead of white sauce and mozzarella for hex a
Snack: cereal bar for hex B

Aiming for no syns today as I want wine at the weekend!

Basin - enjoy those chips!

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 08:57

Awww thanks Basin! blushes And it was scrolling through old posts and seeing your mentions of pastitsio a while back that made us add it to our meal plan for this week!

Well done losers - and to those who haven't lost, we're all going to have an amazing week this week, right?

Managed to finish yesterday on 6.5 syns, which is good for me - I normally use all 15...

Today will look something like this:

B - yoghurt and raspberries

L - leftover cottage pie from the freezer, topped with carrot and swede mash. Extra chopped veggies on the side

D - the rest of the pastitsio with salad

HexB will be baked apples and mincemeat after dinner - will be the first time I've tried it as a HexB! HexA will be a skinny latte - off into town later to take a load of clothes that are now too big to the charity shop...whoop whoop!

Going to aim for another 7 syn max day today. I tend to have a cheat meal every week, as I review restaurants as part of my job, but don't often reduce syns on the rest of the days to make up for it...

I never watched The Biggest Loser when it was on tv, but I've found the 2012 series on YouTube this morning - am currently watching the first episode and am going to keep going with it to spur me on and keep me motivated! Plus I love Richard Callender :)

sparkle789 · 07/04/2016 09:08

Meal plan today
No breakfast maybe some fruit in a bit if I get hungry
Lunch- egg salad or soup
Dinner - salmon, new potatos, asparagus

I've woken up with a bad headache, the toddler is driving me mad already and I feel low today so if I manage to stick to my food it'll be a miracle!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 07/04/2016 09:10

emily I've been meaning to buy some mincemeat for baked apples... Is it a HEx because the fruit is cooked or is it the mincemeat?

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 09:39

I'm not sure Bendy - but I'm not going to question it! Grin

OrianaBanana · 07/04/2016 09:44

Looks great scribble!

B - one slice crustless (third HExB1) with scraping of butter and marmalade (2), satsuma, coffee (HExA)
L - butternut squash soup, rest of HExB1, just realised I need to find some P, so will go to work canteen and grab some ham.
D - chicken chasseur from a SW cookbook, broccoli, asparagus and carrots. Possibly butter beans to bulk it out.
S - apple, hifi lights (HExB2)

Thank you to whoever posted the link about speed foods Smile I am definitely guilty of eating some speed after a full breakfast just because I feel I should!

OrianaBanana · 07/04/2016 09:46

BasinHaircut · 07/04/2016 09:47

It's my colleagues birthday today and he has brought in 6 boxes of M&S cakes! And because the desk next to mine is currently vacant, he has decided that is going to be the cake table, the bastard!!!!!!

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 10:04

Basin - look up the syn value on your app, will help you to stay away!

BasinHaircut · 07/04/2016 10:11

I'm actually not in a cake type of mood.......yet. If I start to get tempted I will move them I think.

maygirl · 07/04/2016 10:30

Thanks justamo
I lurve Richard Callender too Emily !
I've done some of his classes at fitness weekends, I love his Armageddon workout! He sneaks about jumping out at you to check you're not slacking Maygirl hopes to get caught and punished!
Baked apples I think its both cooked fruit and dried fruit making it a heB .If I'm out of mincemeat I use the same amount of mixed dried fruit, it's the same syns -2 and I can't see how wound make much difference, if anything its healthier as no added sugar or fat? I love baked apple with natural yogurt Grin

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 11:42

Hehe may - caught and punished ideal! But I'm nowhere near fit or coordinated enough to do one of those weekends...getting there with belly blitz, though - aiming to do it at least twice a week for now!

cowboylover · 07/04/2016 11:56

Hello all! Catching back off after being offline a few weeks.

Got my 3.5 stone award and then had my wisdom teeth removed so off plan and on what ever food I could cope with now struggling to feel motivated to get back to it!

Weigh in tonight should hopefully help and get me inspired again to get back to it.

calzone · 07/04/2016 12:38

Well done everyone!

So I needed 1/2lb off to get to target and gained 11/2lbs instead!!!!! Aargh.......

Another NSV today...my size 18 coat was swamping me but I've still been wearing it as it has tons of pockets and saves me having to take a handbag out with me. Just shelled out on a new one, though...in a size 14! Will post a comparison pic when I get home, haha!

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 13:18

Bit of a difference!!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 07/04/2016 13:50

Wow great Emily!

Today I have already eaten a whole butter it squash Blush

B: 2 slice eggy bread, HE+3 syns, half HEA for cheese

Snack: apple, roasted a butternut squash and ended up eating half as v hungry

Lunch: green salad with ham and rest of butternut squash. Yog with banana, meringue nest (2.5syns) options (2.5 syns)

S: ?

D: ? Probably pasta and veggie sauce. DH not home for dinner.

Sounds pretty bad, a whole squash! In my defence I've had a stressful morning with a knackered baby, and he's taken to getting up for the day at 5 and DH is never home before baby's bedtime, so my days are looooong! But don't want to make excuses for myself.
