Youre- have you used your HexA? Cheese as a snack?

Or ham and pickles?

KittyOShea · 06/04/2016 16:53

Welcome newbies.

Weigh in tonight which I'm not looking forward to- a totally off plan weekend and um a lack of bowel movements (TMI sorry Blush) means I'm expecting a fairly hefty gain

sparkle789 · 06/04/2016 17:01

Well day 1 is a fail. Went out with a friend and kids and we ended up at McDonald's. Very annoyed at myself. Trying to think it's just one meal but it's not working.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 06/04/2016 18:00

Just eaten a huge amount of celery, grapes and apple with my HEX a cheese. Was lovely.

OrianaBanana · 06/04/2016 18:07

Kitty I'm with you on all counts but also feeling bloated as I ate 5 heck sausages (they're so nice - and only 2.5 syns for them all!!) then an orange and coffee to keep me going before WI (and maybe help me 'go' too). I know it's a gain this week so it will be hard as I've been on plan for the past two days. But that should get me a good start on next week. I have told my consultant though I am likely to kill anyone who says 'Oh I don't know how I got my 4lbs off I ate out three times and wasn't on plan at all..!' Grin

gBean · 06/04/2016 19:08

Does anyone do SW online? Do you get the books etc posted to you or is it ALL online?

I really want to join but have really demanding job and know I'll struggle to make meetings...

HuckleberryGin · 06/04/2016 19:20

I don't online. You can get Gold membership and receive the books, but it is all online. You can download and print. The SW app has a search for syns.

KittyOShea · 06/04/2016 19:26

Well a 1lb gain so that's not too bad considering!

Hope it went well oriana!

EmilyK83 · 06/04/2016 19:34

That's impressive after an off-plan weekend Kitty, well done! And what's the betting you'll be able to "go" now you've weighed in...ALWAYS the way!!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 06/04/2016 19:41

I just made ice lollies! Someone upthread recommended it, so thanks. Fage yoghurt, frozen berries and vanilla bean paste, so should be free right? Oh just looked up VBP... 1 syn per tsp so like 1/4 syn per lolly 🙄

I feel today was ok :

B 6am: 2x weetabix (HExB), milk (HExA), mixed berries.

Pre-gym snack 9am: banana and fage total yoghurt with options sachet (2.5syns)

L 1pm: 3 bacon medallions, 2 eggs, scrambled, 1 big mushroom, some baked beans. Followed by a green salad. Apple.

S 4pm: Eat Natural Light & Lovely fruit & nut bar. 6 syns but divine.

D 8pm: chilli and rice (so I guess I need to add some speed food?)

And I must be honest, I do try the baby's food before giving it to him to check temperature. So this morning a tiny taste of porridge, lunch baked beans and scrambled egg. Not bad foods but a bad habit. Feel like I'm always eating!

Thanks HuckleberryGin

BendydickCuminsnatch · 06/04/2016 19:52

GBean I'm an online member. There is a messenger feature so you can chat to consultants to get advice (but it seems to be only at certain times maybe?). I am a bronze member but bought some books from the bookshop. The support after each weigh-in is very generic, 'look at this link' type stuff, but that's to be expected. My parents are online members too and have lost ridiculous amounts, it can be done! :) good luck.

gBean · 06/04/2016 20:25

Thanks Bendy! Just trying to decide whether to join online or try to find a meeting which I might make regularly

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 06/04/2016 20:36

Some good points here about speed food. I must admit I dont have 1/3 speed (apart from lunch when about 1/2 is speed due to it being salad). I need to mix things up a bit. Problem is Im not a big veg lover so has anybody got any ideas to make it nicer? Ive tried and tried and tried to like brocolli and cauliflower, but no matter how much I eat I am still forcing myself to eat them. Then again I never used to like salad or water, now I like both. Not tomatos though, still dont like them.

Regarding breakfast Ive decided to get some oats for overnight oats for breakfast. I will still eat a hifi bar or alpen bar, but will only have one and syn it.

I often have cheese as a snack. I buy cheese slices in. At 25g a slice I know I dont have to faff about weighing it. I haven't today because I was going to have my Slimming world ready meal that is in the freezer and have cheese with that, but couldnt be bothered by the time I got home. I had a job interview after work and didnt get in till a bit later.

So today:

B: couscous and banana
Morning snack: alpen light (1/2 HEB)
L: Salad (0.5 syn for the extra light mayo) and a muller light
Afternoon snack: Apple and hif fi bar (1/2 HEB)
Dinner: Mug Shot and cake (Its DH's birthday so I had to have a slice. Not sure on syns though)

EmilyK83 · 06/04/2016 20:42

Those ice lollies sound amazing! How are they?

Pastitsio for dinner tonight, with green beans and asparagus. Mmmmmm...

Buttwing · 06/04/2016 21:20

Whoop whoop 3.5lb off for me tonight.

Drharleen could you roast some veg? That's my favourite way to have it pepper, onions, mushrooms a bit of chilli and whatever herbs or spices you fancy. Or a soup?

tabulahrasa · 06/04/2016 21:28

DrHarleen...I'm not keen on cauli or broccoli or cabbage, swede, mushrooms, um a load of other stuff I haven't thought of, lol.

Go through the list of speed veg and make a list of ones you like/will eat, concentrate on them.

I have carrots a lot because I like them, mange tout and babycorn, green beans at a push, roasted veg, peppers with onions and stuff especially - oh butternut squash done as chips or wedges, that's quite nice and boringly salad when I can't think of anything else.

justamo · 06/04/2016 22:09

Well done Buttwing.

It's busy on here today, lots of good advice which I've been heeding until one hour ago when it all went pear shaped and I pigged on biscuits and chocolate . Aaarrrgggh!

It's meant to be WI tomorrow but I've booked it as a 'holiday'. Maybe that's why I went sugar crazy tonight Confused? I guess I draw the one and get back to it in the morning, Ho hum.

justamo · 06/04/2016 22:10

Draw the line

KittyOShea · 06/04/2016 22:14

Thanks Emily. You're always so positive- you cheer me up on here all the time Flowers

Congrats Buttwing 3.5 is a fab loss

KittyOShea · 06/04/2016 22:15

Yes just a mo- draw the line is right. It's only 1 evening out of the next 7

EmilyK83 · 06/04/2016 22:19

Wooooo....well done Butt!

Kitty - that's really kind of you! I'm a massive believer in seeing the best in everything - I was signed off work for 6 months a few years ago with anxiety and depression, have completely changed my way of thinking since then! Firm believer that you should think positive thoughts to achieve positive things...which sounds really corny I know!

OrianaBanana · 06/04/2016 22:42

Well done Kitty - 1.5lbs on for me. Line drawn, on with next week! I've made some butternut squash soup for lunch tomorrow so will have a few SP days.

trinitybleu · 06/04/2016 22:43

Justamo - don't jump! I have been texting this to my RL buddy after the analogy up thread about if you dropped your phone and cracked the screen, would you jump on the handset until it was destroyed, or pick it up and carry on best you can. Wink

The 1/3 speed food is what catches me out. I'd automatically eat peas and sweetcorn, mango, pineapple, etc and think I'm doing fine, when actually it's not speed!

maygirl · 06/04/2016 23:29

Pound on and so pissed off I've been "smashing my phone" to smithereens since getting back from weigh in Sad
Doing a sas log
On a positive note made the pulled pork in this month's mag and it was lovely and lots of leftovers.
