Wow!! Well done trinity!! Bet your feeling amazing X

emwithme · 04/04/2016 22:03

I am so not organised naturally, emily but I am also shit in the mornings and would much rather have an extra half hour in bed than get up and make breakfast and lunch. Plus, I like saving my HEBs for hifi bars at night.

Came on tonight - hopefully will have lost some of the water retention by Thursday. Knew it was happening, so greeted DH when he got in from work with "I'm literally about to come on. If you fancy a shag, we've got half an hour before I want to cook, so get upstairs Grin " he went upstairs

Today's food:

Breakfast: 3 x breakfast muffins
Lunch: Salad leaves, chopped veggies (radish, celery, cucumber, peppers), beef (left over from yesterday's lunch), cherry tomatoes with the leftover mustard-quark dressing from Saturday night's gehaktballen (the Dutch meatballs in the current magazine). Apple, pear, satsumas.
Dinner: Chicken with a leek and wensleydale crust (4 syns), new potatoes, carrots, cabbage. M&S mini lemon meringues (5 syns)
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

EmilyK83 · 04/04/2016 22:17

Wow well done trinity!!! Smile

Em - got your body magic in for today then, hehe!

DrHarleen - I find photos are most motivating! I have a photo from last year of me at my heaviest, and take regular progress pics - definitely spurs me on! I set little targets too - not just getting official SW awards, but things like getting into the next stone bracket, going down a number on the bmi chart etc. So...for example...I weighed at 12st 8.5lb last week and my next mini target is to lose 1.5lb to take me to 12 and a half stone exactly...

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 04/04/2016 22:28

I haven't got any photo's I hate having my picture taken.

Im still 2.5lbs off the next half stone. A little too much to ask for in a week.

Been skimming the thread looking at breakfasts. So it seems to be Fruit and Yoghurt, Weetabix, Oats or something that means cooking first thing. As I leave the house to get to work at 7:30 I dont want to be faffing around cooking - though would love to have an omlette for breakfast. I (like Em) dont really want to use up HE's on breakfast. I want to save my HEB for my afternoon Hifi or Alpen light bar. Plus sometimes my HE's are used on the evening meal.

I dont think fruit and yoghurt will keep me full long enough.

I want something quick to make (or that I can make the night before) and that will mean I wont be snacking all morning. Currently I dont eat breakfast, but I do snack all morning on fruit, cheese (HEA) and cous cous. I want to stop the snacking and eat properly. Not sure if Im eating out of habit or if its proper hunger.

Its going to be so hard to not eat during the morning if I opt for the breakfast option instead.

emwithme · 04/04/2016 22:45

Have you tried breakfast muffins DrH ?

This makes 12 giant muffins -

6 eggs
300g tub cottage cheese (the chivey one is nice)
Chopped up (and possibly fried a little) veggies of your choice - onion, mushroom, peppers, celery whatever else is lurking in the salad drawer and bacon (or not if you're veggie/don't have any)

Pre-heat oven to 200C/180Fan/Gas 6

Beat eggs, mix in cottage cheese and veggies. Pour into muffin tray (silicon works best for non-sticking-ness). Cook until browned on top (20 - 40 minutes depending on how deep they are).

They keep for a good 2 - 3 days in the fridge (they may do more but I've eaten them all by then!)

TheLadyWithTheYellowHat · 04/04/2016 22:49

Got to half a stone loss tonight Grin I got my shiny sticker very excited have been going for a month Grin

EmilyK83 · 04/04/2016 22:53

DrH - the little targets don't necessarily need to be a week apart - just something achievable to aim for! And re:photos - I'm just taking them in our full length mirror with my phone - definitely seeing progress and they're spurring me on to keep going...

Breakfast-wise, I love smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and either asparagus or tomatoes, keeps me full too!

Well done TheLady - that's awesome news!

calzone · 04/04/2016 23:15

This keeps me going......

Wow Calzone - that's amazing!!! You must be close to target now?

Here's mine... I still have over two and a half stone to lose...

randomer · 05/04/2016 09:20

Harleen....you can micro oats.....2 mins put fruit on... really filling.
Re motivation....i contemplate the alternative to keeping going and it ain't pretty!
Only moi with the wine thing then?

trinitybleu · 05/04/2016 09:41

I am pleased but I just keep thinking about how far there is to go too. If I could keep this up (which I know I am very unlikely to) I'd be at my initial target in 27 weeks. That doesn't sound so bad, but I know it's not going to happen. At the moment I feel like yay - I've been good for a WHOLE WEEK! Let's celebrate!!! I have to keep reminding myself that this is just the beginning and I have to keep going like this for a looooong time ...

EmilyK83 · 05/04/2016 09:41

1.5lb off, so now weigh 12 and a half stone exactly - that was my next little target!

scribblegirl · 05/04/2016 09:51

Found a yummy breakfast in the chain Eat this morning (work in central London and have to get up too early to do breakfast at home!) - they do a pot which has baked beans, avocado, egg and a few cubes of feta on the top. Stuffed now!

I'm guessing that I'm fine for all the above but should count the feta as my HEXA.

The photos are really inspirational Emily and Calzone!!

ClaraLane · 05/04/2016 09:54

Unfortunately you'll have to syn the avocado scribblegirl as it's not free on SW. I know some people don't syn them though, it's a bit of a touchy subject I think. I'm planning on having a chicken, bacon and avocado salad over the weekend and probably won't syn it because I think they're good fats and it makes no sense to eat Mugshots which are free but avocados aren't.

Buttwing · 05/04/2016 10:01

Holy crap Emily you look like a different person!! How much have you lost?

Em that made me laugh it's the kind of thing I would say to do! Who says romance is dead!Grin

Last day of the school hols today for us. I find it much easier when the kids are back, we are drowning In Easter eggs so I. Going to see if the kids want to make crispy cakes with them to stop me snapping little bits off and nibbling

justamo · 05/04/2016 10:01

Fantastic photos Calzone and Emily, thanks for sharing. you are hiding another 2.5 stone well Emily, you look fab.

Day 5 of the shred done, my poor body is groaning. Little used muscles are definitely being awakened. I've rewarded myself with cake for breakfast....sw style! Weetabix muffins with banana & a drizzle of choc shot : amazing stuff at 1/2 syn per teaspoon

randomer you are not alone. However I find that if I drink in the evening the willpower disappears and before I know it I'm snacking on crisps, cheese & biscuits (really missing that) and chocolate. if i fancy a glass of wine I'm just having a small one with my dinner. If you are eating on plan and staying within syns then have your wine and enjoy it, that's what syns are for.

Buttwing · 05/04/2016 10:03

Clara and scribble the avocado thing really bothers me too! I love them and they are healthy I have a bit every so often and don't syn them, although I don't use all my syns everyday so I suppose I have a bit of "space"

EmilyK83 · 05/04/2016 10:04

Haha thanks - my belly and thighs are the worst culprits, trying to exercise now to shift more!

That first pic was taken last Sept - was about the same weight then as when I started SW on Jan 5th this year. I've lost 2st2lb so far - I'm 5ft6 so 12 and a half stone is still V much in the overweight category when it comes to bmi. Need to be 11 stone to be "healthy"...

scribblegirl · 05/04/2016 10:16

Damn - thanks Clara and Buttwing! Good to know Smile who knew avocado was so controversial!

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 05/04/2016 10:45

Sneaking in to join you all. Lost two and a half stone three years ago and it has crept back on. Life is chaotic and can't get to group so have rejoined online and started yesterday. I need to lose four stone to hit anything near healthy weight - I will be happy with three for the moment.

Zbag14 · 05/04/2016 11:01

Hello, first post on this thread Smile

I'm thinking of joining slimming world again, I tried it last year but failed miserably after a bout of depression hit. I weighed 13st 6 on the 22nd May last year and decide enough was enough, and have slowly lost it so I'm now 10st 6 ( calorie counting ) but I can't shift anymore, it just won't budge! I would definitely like to loose another 6lb, but 14 would be my target to get me back to my pre baby weight. Does this sound doable or am I kidding myself? I've reached a point in my calorie counting were I would need consume only 1280 calories a day to loose 1.5lb a week. I have a big appetite, I can't survive on this!

Zbag14 · 05/04/2016 11:31

Emily and Calzone you both look fab, big well done!

thelionsleeps · 05/04/2016 12:18

Fantastic photos Emily & Calzone. Just what I needed to see today. Stayed the same on friday weigh in and then had a bit of an off weekend but back on it today. I'm going to stay away from choc as syns for the moment as I just can't stop at one and thrn want more sweet stuff. Will still use my syns but for other things at the moment.

I probably wouldn't syn avocado either especially if I wasn't having it loads and try and do sw as clean eating as possible.

Menu today - b shreddies and milk
L - salad with baked pot, beans and cheese.
T - chicken and loads of veg.

Must remember to drink my water today too. Have to get through a birthday party this afternoon but going to have some fruit before I go.

Zbag sounds like you have done really well already and they say the last few pounds can be really hard to lose. Sw is a great way to eat and hopefully will shake your body up a bit to lose the last bit.

Yourallabunch welcome! Did you lose before with sw? I'm doing it myself at home as getting to a group doesn't really work at the moment. Do you weigh in when you do it online? I'm sure going to a group with a wi would keep me on the straight and narrow a bit more but logistics with twins is a bit hard.

Have a good day everyone.

EmilyK83 · 05/04/2016 13:26

Awww thanks guys :) And welcome YoureAll and Zbag!

Not sure what's going to happen meal wise today. Apparently I'm being taken out for dinner, and I'm not planning on staying on plan!

Had a syn-free lunch though...and I was brave and used scan bran as my HexB. Will be drinking a LOT of water this afternoon as a result! Managed to top all five differently, though, and had some celery and gherkins as additional speed...

I went to group last time to lose the two and a half stone - but my lovely little group stopped running and I can't find another one I like as much. I'm all over the place too as work is stressful and I can't guarantee a set night I will be OK to go. Thought I'd solved that as I was going on a Saturday, but DH is often away and it means I can't stay to group as I have to pick up DS1 from football. So, sticking to online for a bit and going to weigh in every Tuesday.
