Weight in this morning!

Feel sick as usual. Which this nervousness would do one. No idea why I feel like this.

Loulou2kent · 04/04/2016 09:07

Morning all! Day 4 & out for a picnic today (she says waiting for the rain) sooooo instead of a sandwich & goodies I've made my own Chinese beef & rice, complete with takeaway container to make it feel naughty!

Thanks Emily! Total newbie to this (have accepted that the past four years of semi-constant calorie counting have very little to show for it!) so definitely have a lot to learn. Quite looking forward to the first SW meeting on Wednesday so that I can get stuck into learning about it, though not quite so keen for the weighing!

Last time I weighed was late November and I was 11st9, I reckon I'm now easily over 12st Sad, which would be my highest weight ever. Would love to get back down to the 10st I was at when I met DP - we've been together 4 years and have both put on a fair amount of comfort weight!

Loulou2kent · 04/04/2016 09:11

Scribble I'm sure with the meetings you'll get right on track. Smile the good thing with slimming world is you really don't have to feel hungry & all the family can join in. My dp only has a stone to lose jammy git! So he's on it with me too. Goodluck! X X

KittyOShea · 04/04/2016 09:53

Bad couple of days at the weekend so am trying to make up for it from today until weigh in n weds

B- porridge, yoghurt, raspberries, cinnamon
L- spicy asparagus soup, fruit, yoghurt
D- haven't decided yet- some sort of curry or stir fry I think

Syns- sugar 2 in coffee, hi fi 6

EmilyK83 · 04/04/2016 09:58

Good luck Katenka!

Scribble - I know the feeling! I've piled on weight since I've been with dp too (will be 4 years in July) and have now managed to lose just over 2 stone, now the lightest I've been since he's known me but I have about another 2st 8lb to go to hit target!

OrianaBanana · 04/04/2016 10:14

Aargh - I made some good choices this weekend but mostly bad. Still - back on it today (again) with SP days til weigh in.

B - grilled kipper, 1 slice Kingsmill crustless (1/3 HEB1), butter (1), melon, coffee (with HEA milk)
L - 2 soft boiled eggs, asparagus dippers, 1 more slice HEB, half tsp butter (1), fruit
D - slow cooked bolognese with carrot and courgette in it, cauli couscous and speed veg
S - speed fruit, coffee/tea, sf squash, hifi lights (HEB2)

Trying to keep syns down today. Smile

katenka · 04/04/2016 13:07

Thanks Emily.

I stayed the same. A bit disappointed but it is my star week. Before SW I would have put a couple of pound on. At least. So it's an improvement at least.

Shouldn't really be that bothered. As I got in a pair of trousers I couldn't get two weeks ago, on Saturday. So focusing on that.

I also have a review of my pcos on Wednesday and the doctor hasn't seen me since I started SW. Will be my first review where I have lost a decent amount of weight.

scribblegirl · 04/04/2016 13:50

So I did a little reading up before I bought lunch today and gave the ready made soup a swerve. Instead have a lovely salad with grilled chicken, pasta and vegetables (and a little mozzarella to count for Hex A). Feels wildly counter-intuitive to be eating pasta as a "better" alternative to soup!

trinitybleu · 04/04/2016 13:53

forgot to come back and report on the burgers! Added onion, an egg yolk, a teaspoon of salt Shock and 2 tblsp of balsamic to 350g of beef, and they tasted good Smile ... reasoned that 1 tsp across 5 burgers wasn't so bad ... [hmmm]

Otherwise been doing OK and 1st weigh in is tonight. I better have lost something Grin

EmilyK83 · 04/04/2016 15:22

Katenka - nice non-scale victories!!

Scribble - yeah, the pasta thing still seems weird to me too! But hey, it works... :)

Good luck trinity! Going to have to try those burgers...

Currently cooking my first ever Scan Bran cake. Not expecting anything amazing...

BasinHaircut · 04/04/2016 16:06

Hi all! I'm officially back today. Haven't kept up with the thread so apologies for anything I've missed.

I've somehow managed not to pile the weight back on in the few weeks I've been off plan, and I'm weighing in at 11st 2lbs.

Not sure about DH, should have weighed him this morning really.

I'm still it 100% well so won't go to the gym tonight as planned but I'm having a good day.

B - 2 weetabix and skimmed milk (HEXB and half HEXA)
L - chicken, lettuce, cous cous, potato salad, coleslaw (reckon about 8 syns)

Dinner is roast chicken with carrots, parsnips, broccoli, potatoes, gravy. Couple of syns for gravy I reckon, which leaves me 5 syns for a chocolate bar later if I need it.

legotits · 04/04/2016 16:18

Can I play?

Joined last Tuesday so tomorrow is my first week Confused
Serial loser and finder but haven't SW for 10 years so it's pretty new fangled.

Had a reasonable week but I'm craving yoghurt.
Eating 4-6 each day.
Food wise I have been OK my sins are eaten up with coffee whitener and options (none left for gin) so I need to whittle them down ready for this week.

EmilyK83 · 04/04/2016 18:25

Hi Basin - hope you feel better soon!

Good luck for tomorrow lego! Could you switch to herbal tea instead of coffee at all? Or try non-dairy milk maybe - you get more for your healthy A than you do with regular milk...

EmilyK83 · 04/04/2016 19:34

SP dinner was stir fried veg and prawns with SW crispy seaweed - the first time I've tried making it and it definitely won't be the last! So good!

Thanks Emily!

Really didn't enjoy my dinner. Not sure why as I love a roast usually, but I am full at least. Having a whipped Greek yoghurt for 3.5 syns so ending the day on 13.5 syns.

calzone · 04/04/2016 19:38

Welcome to another week everyone!

B.....porridge made with water and sweetener, raspberries and I added a dollop of quark. It was lush.

L.....golden savoury rice, chicken tikka, salad
Melon, Mullerlight, Apple

D.....pork steaks, chips with polenta and broccoli

Maria61 · 04/04/2016 20:02

Welcome Maria! You will get support and motivation here.

Chloejames22 · 04/04/2016 21:01

Hi,
I'm following the plan from home. I lost weight last year for my wedding but have put it back on since and I feel completely miserable about my body at the moment! I have booked a holiday for 21st may so am determined to lose some weight so I don't go away feeling uncomfortable.

Today I had weetabix and unsweetened almond milk for breakfast, tuna salad for lunch with haricot beans and fat free yoghurt, fruit pot then a homemade curry for dinner with cauliflower rice and lots of
Kale on the side. Does this sound good? Can anyone recommend any nice quick lunches to make to take to work? Would you also recommend changing up breakfasts or is weetabix ok?

Thanks
Chloe xx

Maria61 · 04/04/2016 21:03

Thank you basin haircut :) I'v been looking at breakfast and lunch ideas for work already trying to prepare.

Maria61 · 04/04/2016 21:05

The same Chloe :)

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 04/04/2016 21:07

Maintained tonight. Too many syns and not enough speed foods. I need to step it up again, but my motivation has waned. A week or two ago I could see it happening. I could feel the thin me wanting to get out. I knew I could do it. Now Im not so sure.

What tricks to people use to regain their motivation?

trinitybleu · 04/04/2016 21:39

5 lbs off Smile
