Please can someone beat me with the stick? I badly need a good week yet the first day I gave in to sausages and cherry pie with custard (made by my SIL) then ate chocolate, which has put me way over syns. If I don't stop going over my syns every day there's no way I'll lose weight! I don't know where my mojo has gone.
Today:
B - oat crisp and milk (HExA and HExB), coffee, satsuma
L - prawn and egg salad, dressing (0.5)
D - fish (inspirations, 3 syns I think), SW chips, mixed speed veg
S - kiwi, satsuma, pear, melon
Will try and leave the syns there today if I possibly can...

AvaLeStrange · 31/03/2016 10:11

Cherry pie...mmmm!!!

Just had late breakfast - BLT with a scrape of light mayo on each slice of bread so I guess a couple of sins.

Lunch - hummus, crudités, ryvita minis

Dinner - slow cooked chilli beef & rice.

Not sure about syns yet - if I stay on the straight and narrow during the day I will probably have some Maltesers later.

Twirlywoooo · 31/03/2016 10:24

Another 4lb off for me, 10.5 lbs loss in 2 weeks.

B - fruit and yogurt. Coffee. (HExA - milk)
L - ham and boiled egg salad.
D - BBQ pulled pork, wholemeal roll, salad. (HExB)

BendydickCuminsnatch · 31/03/2016 10:33

Twirly that's incredible!!!! Well done! I have lost 9lbs since November haha!!

God I am so in a rut. Was excited last week as I lost a pound, but put it on again this WI.

Have started a YouTube account and am tracking my progress that way, to keep me accountable. Only thing is, no-one is watching so it's not going to be embarrassing if I fail ha Grin

Sounbelievablydull · 31/03/2016 10:44

Bendy I'm with you all the way and am willing to view your utube stuff.
I'm also feeling despondent glad for all the great weight losses posted here but for me its excruciatingly slow. 8.5 lbs off since January
Just been away for Easter which was a a wipeout really, weigh in tonight dreading it already.
Maybe I should be attending alcoholics anomynous instead as my big downfall is wine I'm fine in the week but totally go off plan at the weekends. I know no one can help me other than myself.

thelionsleeps · 31/03/2016 12:18

Fab twirly! What a good weight loss.

I have wi tomorrow so determined to stay on track even though it is my birthday. Have just had 2 mini malteaser bunnies though - they are lovely.

It is so easy to put on isn't it Bendy but you can easily lose that pound. I'm doing it myself with no class but I weigh myself fridays and monday to help keep me on track. I know if I weighed in friday and had a good loss I would reward myself over the weekend so Monday weigh is meant to keep me focused.

Has anyone eaten out thai? Thinking beef red curry with boiled rice aand maybe soup to start but I know they both have coconut milk in. Any tips appreciated.

justamo · 31/03/2016 12:52

First weigh in done. 2lb loss. Woo hoo!

OrianaBanana · 31/03/2016 12:54

thelionsleeps there's a good article about that on SW online here: group.slimmingworld.co.uk/useful-features/eo-thai.aspx

Well done justamo and Twirlywoooo!

EmilyK83 · 31/03/2016 14:27

Well done Twirly and just - fab losses! And happy birthday lion!

Well...my lunch turned out to be a lamb and mint burger salad with chilli sauce, tzatziki and halloumi. I'm using the halloumi as my HexA and I'm estimating 10 syns for the whole meal...but that may be a wild underestimate - I honestly have no idea :-/ So nice to be able to sit outside the restaurant in the sunshine and eat, though!

is your group any good? somebody had a paddy at me because(newbie) I was in the wrong queue.
Its in a dismal church building and when I asked a question people basically just barked things at me!

AvaLeStrange · 31/03/2016 15:58

Blimey, that's rubbish. Mine is great, but I did choose it specifically as someone I know had been going for a couple of years and lost four stone there. Something about her consultant came up on my FB and she looked really friendly so I thought we'd give it a try.

Everyone is really welcoming, and it's very relaxed and supportive. The woman that does the actual weighing was a bit of an old boot the first couple of times but seems to be defrosting a bit now we've been going for a while.

OrianaBanana · 31/03/2016 16:12

Our group is great too. I went to another this week and they were too friendly - both at pay and weigh they were chatting away with everyone so it took aaaages! Hmm

EmilyK83 · 31/03/2016 16:30

Our consultant's leaving next month - gutted!! We were introduced to the new one on Tues - she seems nice, but quiet...

AvaLeStrange · 31/03/2016 17:04

Does anyone know if tinned peaches in fruit juice (drained and rinsed) have a syn value?

I'm eating lots of fruit salad but it's a combo of mango, strawberries, grapes, kiwi & pineapple so only the strawbs are speed.

Going to try strawberries, raspberries, melon & peach next week, but don't suppose fresh ones will be very ripe, unless I pay an arm & a leg for them in Waitrose.

AvaLeStrange · 31/03/2016 17:07

Just searched and answered my own question.

Waitrose it is then...

AvaLeStrange · 31/03/2016 19:56

Dinner! Joining in with the foodie pics as I'm feeling really smug about having salad with my chilli instead of rice Grin.

Hi all. Hope you don't mind me joining. I'm starting SW next week and I have a LOT to lose ...

Katenka · 31/03/2016 20:40

Our group is great. People do have their own groups they sit with. But generally is nice and polite.

Could you try another group? I think a bad group can end up making it feel a lot harder.

Hi to all the new posters!

trinitybleu · 31/03/2016 20:51

Managed to survive the end of year buffer at work today .... Just had salad, ham, couple of spoons of egg mayo and melon / strawberries / grapes. Have never been known to pass up mini sausages and big cookies before Grin

B - breakfast muffins (ham, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and egg)
L - as above
D - quorn chilli, rice, spinach / cucumber / celery with light mayo and cheese. Mini Twister (2)
S - 2 x Alpen Lights (HExB), French Fries (4)

EmilyK83 · 31/03/2016 20:54

Food looks amazing, Ava! V restrained of you trinity - and hi gBean! Good luck for next week!

Ava - Dinner looks fab, especially the pudding Grin. I'm going to have one of my bargain bunnies and coffee in a bit. It'll take me over on syns again but the chocolate calling is too strong to ignore. Since I joined I've only managed to have less than 15 syns on one out of eight days - I need to sort that out.

Welshloser · 31/03/2016 21:03

Just back from holiday...overall was really good and on plan.....however just ate a largr bag of pop chips, bag of mini creme eggs, and a large dominos pizza.....I actually dont know why...dont want to count syns.....sooooooooo cross with myself 😢😠

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 31/03/2016 21:10

Ive not been on here for a while.

Lost 4lbs in my second week and got my half stone award. Also got slimmer of the week. The fruit was mainly oranges (and other members of the orange family) which I dont like, but the DCs and DH do so they were happy with that. And that was after a naughty saturday which included 2 pints of lager, a fish sandwich (big chunks of battered fish in massive white bread), pub chips and a chocolate fudge brownie sundae.

The only thing is Im a bit worried about losing too quickly. If I do will it create saggy skin? Will it go back on really easily or will I be able to maintain easy by following the plan? Im just a bit worried about losing half a stone so quick I was only aiming for 1lb a week and expecting to get 0.5 lbs a week.

Someone commented today saying that I was wasting away right in front of her eyes. Im still in the overweight category and have just got into size 14 clothes (Im 5ft 5) so not wasting away. It still felt good though, but I am worried about losing it all too quickly.

emwithme · 31/03/2016 21:47

Another Thursday, another WI, another pound off for me. I really wish it was more, but it's a loss, and I should be happy with that. Maybe being at work will mean I don't mindlessly eat all day (fruit, but still mindlessly, and it's still calories I don't necessarily need) - the office is a bit out of the way so if I don't take it with me, I don't have it (unless it's an emergency and then there's a Spar shop down the road) which should be good for ongoing losses.

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Ham salad, apple (with chunk of cheek...it's still sore 8 hours later), 3 x satsumas
Pre-college snack: Sushi (2 syns)
College break snack: Popcorn (4.5 syns)
Dinner: Leftover chicken goulash (it freezes/defrosts/microwaves really well), steamfresh rice pouch (1.5 syns), diced courgette (in garlic frylight)
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars.

DrH I think your loss will slow down, lots of people have a really good first couple of weeks then slow down to a lb or 2 a week. I've lost 2 stone 4 since June and there's no sagging anywhere - and when I lost last time (which was much quicker - I did 5 stone in about a year) there was no sagging either except my tits which are droopier than Dumbo's ears, but I think that's genetics , and it isn't that I was (or am) doing lots of exercise to tone up (the 5 stone was done entirely by SW alone, no exercise at all).
