Nicely done Ava! Grin

I have the fat-related stretch marks too, Katie. Belly, arms and boobs are the worst affected! I have some Bio Oil to try and sort them out - not started using it yet, probably should..

stumblymonkey · 23/02/2016 22:30

I was stupidly posting on the old thread!

Hi everyone....I'm coming to join in as looks like a great thread for motivation and meal ideas.

I've just finished my first week and lost 4.5lbs which I'm very pleased with!

Hoping to lose 2.5 next week so I can get my half a stone!

Will start posting my meals from tomorrow....

Bought some choc Orange hi-fi bars tonight, can't believe how nice they are!

tabulahrasa · 23/02/2016 22:30

I tried bio-oil, can't say I noticed any difference, though in fairness I do think it's more polyfilla I'd need Grin Blush

deli1976 · 23/02/2016 22:31

Awesome avaSmile

AvaLeStrange · 23/02/2016 22:36

Well done stumbly!

Thanks ladies...am so pleased. Was hoping for 2-3lb off so was over the moon. Just hope I can maintain the momentum and get at least 1lb off next week for my first half stone. DD also lost another 1lb.

I have stretch marks on my tum, more from DD than weight gain I think. I had none & was still wearing some of my normal clothes until 6-7 months pg, then blew up like a balloon and ended up 2 weeks overdue with a 8lb 13oz baby & a c-section. Slightly concerned that I will actually end up with pleats!

fourbumsonarugbypost · 23/02/2016 22:54

Can I join you bunch of lovely ladies?

Been doing SW since August and inching closer to target but not doing great at the minute - .5 on this week which i expected but didn't want at all.

How does everyone cope with DH's etc eating non SW food? Especially snacks and things? I find it so hard some days to stay on plan because DH has opened another packet of biscuits or something.

AvaLeStrange · 23/02/2016 23:04

I do all the food shopping so I just don't buy that kind of thing. He's a chef and does occasionally bring goodies home from work but hasn't since we started. There are some biscuits in the cupboard at the mo as BIL's coming down later this week, but I'm so used to not buying them myself I tend to forget they're there!

He's not so easy on the main meals front, as his job means he's on his feet all day and often doesn't get time to eat, so he gets a bit disgruntled if he comes home to a plate of grilled fish & salad or an omelette. I've just bought some ready meals for the freezer so I can shove one in the oven, throw a spud in the microwave and cook some veg while DD and I have whatever we fancy that's on plan.

cowboylover · 23/02/2016 23:53

Well done on the Slimmer of the week Ava! That's a great loss.

Welcome to the new posters.

I am covered in stretch marks on my legs, boobs and tummy. I was glad when I had my DD that at least people would think it was that but realistically they where mostly already there! But I try not to worry too much, most people notice my tattoos before them anyway!
My husband has horizontal stretch marks across his back from a growth spurt as a child apparently common in tall people and they look like he's been whipped and scared!

Day 3 on Fast forward for me and it has been difficult, I have not enjoyed having to weigh and measure everything but I think it will help me focus again and portion control better.

Weigh in Thursday and kinda nervous already!

stumblymonkey · 24/02/2016 07:04

I'm lucky that DP is a personal trainer with 10% body fat(!). His body is a temple so he doesn't eat anything naughty to tempt me at all which is good because I have zero willpower to not eat things in the house.

calzone · 24/02/2016 07:31

Plan for today......

B....quinoa, fruit and yoghurt

L....calamari salad, 2 plums

D.....SW burgers and chips, mushy peas and salad

BendydickCuminsnatch · 24/02/2016 07:36

Inexplicably lost 3lbs this week! Had a takeaway and a lot of biscuits Confused But going to be good this week as I'll be gutted if I put that back on! Needed a loss to motivate me I think, I had lost hope!

Mummyme87 · 24/02/2016 08:30

Weigh in tonight. I had a cheeky weigh in this morning and feeling positive.

Kim82 · 24/02/2016 08:50

Well done Bendy and good luck Mummyme.

I'm not sure what today's menu will be, I need to go shopping but won't be able to now as dd2 is off school as she's not well.

So far I've had:

B - alpen light bar and I'll probably have some strawberries in a bit

L - probably an omelette with bacon, mushrooms, spinach and a salad on the side

Can someone lend me some will power. I have to melt 15kg of white chocolate in 3kg batches. It smells so good.

Just about to start the third batch and I can swear it's talking to me Shock

AvaLeStrange · 24/02/2016 10:29

Grin what on earth is 15kg of white chocolate for? Do you work at a famous shop by any chance?

Katenka · 24/02/2016 10:33

No. Lol.

Bizarrely I make food products for the fitness industry.

This I a spread for those looking for extra calories to bulk up.

Snacks tangerines Apple melon

annatha · 24/02/2016 12:36

My dh has the horizontal stretch marks too, when we was about 14 he shot up a foot over summer. I'm covered in stretch marks from having two massive babies and I'm noticing them more as I'm losing weight- I'm 1.5 stone down and my belly sort of sags in on both sizes now but I'll take that over being morbidly obese like I am currently. I know I'll never have a tight flat belly but I'll be happier.

I've stopped buying biscuits etc for dh too. I can't just have one so I'd rather just remove temptation altogether. He has snacks at work and occasionally a takeaway but for the most part eats what I eat.

emwithme · 24/02/2016 12:48

Covered in stretch marks and have no DC. I grew about 3 inches in a 3 month period when I was 12 and have had them since then.

It's weigh in tomorrow and this week is the first time since I started SW that I haven't had a sneaky mid-week weigh (because the scales are still in a box that I haven't unpacked yet). My food has been 100% on plan but I am feeling so out of control, and I don't like it.

Today's food:

Brunch: Bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato.
Snack: Iceland meatballs, apple, satsumas
Dinner: Tuna steak, new potatoes, carrot, broccoli.
HEA: Milk in tea/coffee
HEB: Hifi bars

OrianaBanana · 24/02/2016 13:01

I do have a few stretch marks from my 10lb 6 DS but mostly on my thighs strangely. The belly is a bit wobbly and I suspect will never be as flat as it was (the benefits of a pear shape...) but I'm not really fussed as I never intend to get it out.

I buy treats for DS and DH that I don't like, such as cake bars and ginger biscuits. Doesn't stop DS eating my hifis mind you. It's the gin/vodka I have a problem with (not that I'm an alcoholic..Hmm) as it's there in the cupboard. Luckily DH doesn't drink much so I can forget about it.

Well done losers! And well done cowboy, keep the focus - don't know how you do that!

B - overnight oats with fruit (HExB)
L - veg soup with a slice of focaccia (probably a bazillionty syns, app says maybe 8)
D - nothing until after weigh in and then possibly a SW ready meal with veg.
S - teas and coffees (HExA for milk), apple, Cadburys snack (5)

BasinHaircut · 24/02/2016 13:28

Well done losers! Ava that's amazing!

Change of plan food-wise for me today.
B - banana
L - 2 wholemeal rolls HEXB and 6syns for the second roll with cheese HEXA, ham and pickle. 4 syns worth of spread I reckon.

Dinner is going to be 'lighter' sausage casserole and either mash or rice, haven't decided yet.

EmilyK83 · 24/02/2016 14:48

Well done losers - and good luck Mummyme!

My other half's eating the same as me in the evenings, I just make him different lunches for work. Getting more and more used to it as time goes by!

Stressful day today - deadline day at the magazine I edit. Skipped breakfast as a result,..oops. Rest of the day like this:

L - leftover moussaka from last night

D - Nandos - going with a butterflied chicken breast, spicy rice and salad (no dressing) for lowest Syns possible...

HexB will be Alpen Light, HexA a skinny latte this afternoon...
