Plan for this week (up until weekend)

Breakfasts- porridge x 2/ egg muffins x 2/ quinoa porridge x 1

Lunches- Corgette, pea and ham soup x 1 + fruit
Leftover chicken curry x 1
Ryvita with tinned salmon and mayo and veg x 2 + fruit
Butternut squash and red pepper soup x 1

Dinners- chicken curry with lots of veg and rice
Home made meatballs with tomato based sauce and plenty of veg and courgetti
Chicken and tarragon dish with veg and SW chips
Mallons sausages with pots and veg
Leftovers of something

Want to lose at least 3 pounds but have big night out on Saturday so that may scupper me

cowboylover · 21/02/2016 23:27

I have not tried courgetti yet but it looks good so think I will add that to my list for next week!

Got another 4 days of Fast Forward to get through first though. I am really looking forward to normal food optimising again! I have already learnt that I need to reassess my portion sizes because I thought I would be hungry after my meals because they look so small and I am not!

4.5lb to my next award and I would really like to see it soon! I have been 0.5 - 1lb away from my next weight bracket 3 times now and not done it yet.

KatieT12 · 21/02/2016 23:27

Oh, are you allowed to half and half your extra healthies? Blush

calzone · 21/02/2016 23:33

Katie.....yeah you can.

emwithme · 22/02/2016 00:01

Katie the official SW line is that you're not meant to have half-milk-half-cheese but the unofficial line is that as long as you don't go over, you're fine.

It's a bit like the fact that a sliced banana on a sandwich is free, but mash it and it magically has syns. I'm with the Two Chubby Cubs on tweaks - basically, don't take the piss and liquidise the entire fruit aisle and you'll be fine.

KatieT12 · 22/02/2016 00:09

Ah, I see - I'll stick to the official rules Wink at least for the first week!

Katenka · 22/02/2016 06:33

Weigh in day for me. Feel ridiculously nervous again. Hope this feeling goes away soon.

Hay135 · 22/02/2016 07:00

Katenka WI day for me too but I don't feel that positive. I had a day where I went off plan this week and don't know if I've done enough to pull it back.
Back on it this week I will get a kid this week. I have a leaving meal out and a night out but hopefully I can do it on plan!

Katenka · 22/02/2016 07:07

I have had a good week. Weighed myself in my scales and looks like a couple of pound.

I just feel so nervous every week. Stomach churning. No idea why. It's a great group and there are people I have known for years there.

I am sure you will be fine, one day may not have done that much to over come 6 days of good eating. Good luck Thanks

calzone · 22/02/2016 07:18

Good luck to everyone this week!

I am 3.5lbs to target......

Charley12345 · 22/02/2016 07:31

2 weeks in... 6lbs down!

AvaLeStrange · 22/02/2016 07:56

basically, don't take the piss and liquidise the entire fruit aisle and you'll be fine.

Grin

I've been wondering about that too as had been using mashed banana to sweeten porridge - not really keen on whole fruit in it.

Also wondered about cooked fruit - surely just popped in the oven with a bit a foil over & some granulated sweetener can't be that bad?

Must admit I count the Greek style Muller lights as free too, rather than half a syn. I only have one a day at most.

Kim82 · 22/02/2016 08:00

Morning, WI today at 10am for me. I've had a really shitty week food-wise with not even one full day on plan so I'm expecting a gain of some sort. Oh well...I'll update later.

BasinHaircut · 22/02/2016 08:01

Morning all!

Well done Charley! Good luck those who weigh today.

I'm full of so much enthusiasm today. DH and I have both lost a total of 13lbs each since new year. We have set ourselves the target of being 11 (me) and 15 (DH) stones by our weekend away in 2.5 weeks so we are on track.

Today's menu:
B - weetabix and skimmed milk
L - left over mini roast without the stuffing, so only a couple of syns for gravy
D - SW falafel, savoury rice and salad. Dollop of light Mayo (few syns)
Sn - banana, satsumas, ML Greek yoghurt (1/2 syn)

Hay135 · 22/02/2016 08:22

Forgot today's menu
Breakfast Weetabix HEB, milk HEA and strawberries
Lunch mince with loads speed food
Tea Slow cooker Beef Bourginon with rice. Having that at MIL so not sure if there will be speed food but it will be about 5syns I guess but she is on slimming world so will tell me later
Snacks Greek muller light 1/2 syn, melon, orange, Apple and maybe a hi fi bar 3 Syns if I get hungry later on.
Let do this Blush

whyistherumgone · 22/02/2016 08:54

Feeling a bit fed up - gained a pound on my first week! I've been reading about it and apparently this is very very unusual? Wondering if I'm doing something wrong, as I'm doing it onine, as I thought I'd been really good (not using up my syn allowance - only having 5-7 syns each day and sticking to everything else). Feeling really fed up as I have a wedding dress fitting in five weeks and can't afford to put on any more weight, was already at my heaviest ever. I know it's only just a pound but I'm finding it hard to stay on plan when I've not seen even a tiny result yet - wondering if it's because I'm eating so much more than i normally would and lots of low fat foods, when normally I don't have them because of the additional sweeteners they add?

KatieT12 · 22/02/2016 08:58

Please don't let it make you give up! This is why it would be good if you came to a group, your consultant would go through your meal plan Sad

I'm eating more than I would and it seems to be working well.

Have you been 100% on the little things? Like measuring your HEA and B? Using fry light, etc.?

EmilyK83 · 22/02/2016 09:00

Well done Charley!

Whyis - sorry to hear that. If you share everything you eat on here each day, others may be able to help you to see where (if at all) you're going wrong. Are you drinking enough water too?

Slightly over Syns yesterday (an extra chocolate may have found its way into my mouth...) but onwards and upwards!

Today...

B - herbal tea, fruit, Alpen Light

L - chicken tikka slices and salad

D - butternut macaroni cheese and salad

Another Alpen Light and shed loads of fruit to snack on, Syns will probably be in the form of Heroes (2.5 each!)

whyistherumgone · 22/02/2016 09:19

Thanks Katie and *Emily, sorry I probably sound a bit melodramatic!

i've just realised I have been going wrong on my healthy extra bread choice - two slices from an 800g loaf instead of 400g loaf - so it's probably something as simple as that.

I think I will find out where my local meeting is and go to that just so I'm 100% clear - and I will start sharing on here too. Really good shout about water - I was doing really well with it at the beginning of the week but towards the end kept forgetting to drink water.

Think it was just the shock of expecting to see at least a tiny loss and then seeing a gain.

maygirl · 22/02/2016 09:23

whyis if you are weighing at home are your scales good ones? Or approaching that time of the month- we all seem to go up a few pounds then. Well done Charley! Good luck all those weighing in!

whyistherumgone · 22/02/2016 09:24

I have a quick question actually - can you blitz fruit and yogurt into a smoothie and it still counts as free? I know you can't grind rice/quinoa etc and still count it as free...

whyistherumgone · 22/02/2016 09:25

maygirl - my scales are good digital ones (quite new) - but I am just coming to the end of that time of the month, hadn't even considered that. Oh well, I will carry on, find a meeting and hope that there's better news on the scales next time! Thanks! :)

Katenka · 22/02/2016 09:29

Just got weighed lost 3lb.

That's 12 in three weeks an I am under 13 stone for the first time in 6 years!

KatieT12 · 22/02/2016 09:31

Well done Kat - that's amazing!

longlivetheking · 22/02/2016 09:40

Amazing Kat Thanks
