Weighing after school run - wish me luck!
Hopefully Sunday won't have ruined the entire week Confused.
Periods are playing silly buggers so have been (and felt) due on for a fortnight now and still no sign.
On the plus side, my right pyjama bottoms were definitely less tight last night!

EmilyK83 · 08/03/2016 08:27

Well done losers - and good luck long!

I weigh in at 9.30, fingers crossed for at least a pound for my 1.5 stone/club 10 awards...

Today's food will look like this:

B - none

L - leftovers from last night's roast

D - a takeaway if weigh in goes to plan..if not then salmon with potatoes and asparagus!

Hifi bars for HexB, saving HexA in case of takeaway, as it'll inevitably include cheese...

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/03/2016 08:58

Checking in for the first time on this thread - page 28! Have totally lost my motivation entirely. I've only got 4lbs to go until my first stone, but I started back in bloody November! I just can't find the enthusiasm. I didn't weigh in last week and doubt I will tomorrow as I've not been on plan. Ugh. I've started working again after having DS in May so I think it's that I can't dedicate myself to both things at once. How pathetic is that! Im bored of all the SW food as well, especially as it's such slow progress and I don't feel any different at all yet and my clothes are as tight and my skin is as shit as ever.

Someone give me a kick in the oversize bum!

Flossyfloof · 08/03/2016 09:08

I am very new to this and honestly losing as much as you have is amazing to me! I started partly because my friend said that the accountability helps you be "good" for a couple of days before weigh-in and SW is about the only thing I hadn't tried!
I think I eat quite a restricted diet anyway and am not bored yet ( after two weeks - go me!).
There are loads of recipes posted on here. Would making a few SW treats help?
You are juggling a lot so even if you are maintaining that is positive, I think .

BasinHaircut · 08/03/2016 09:20

Morning all! Seems like a good day was mainly had yesterday. I can report that I was also on plan!

BasinHaircut · 08/03/2016 09:28

bendy I hear ya! It just seems like one more thing to do when you already have so much going on doesn't it?

Just do what you can. You are disheartened with your loss but it's still a greatly loss! Imagine where you might be if you hadn't started?

longlivetheking · 08/03/2016 09:52

1.5 on so off to get the cupboards and freezer stocked up

Katenka · 08/03/2016 10:00

flossy my advice would be to go weigh in. Even if you don't stay to group (though I would).

I find facing up to it, really helps. Avoiding the scales only makes me worse.

Why are you getting bored of the food. What are you eating?

I eat different things everyday.

It can be hard when you are first back at work after mat leave. You just need some strategies to get through the first few weeks until you have settled into the new routine.

Verso · 08/03/2016 11:07

1lb off for me this week, which I'm pleased about as I had a number of off plan days due to a conference with no food choices available. Had to muddle through! 15lb in total in three weeks.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/03/2016 11:11

Thanks for the advice. I work from home and..... I'm a baker. But I'm actually v g at not eating cutoffs etc, as its not hygienic in the work setting so that's ok.

I am making the same meals over and over, yet. Last few weeks I haven't sat down and meal planned, which I need to get back into the habit of doing.

Also I'm an online member so no group.

Yes I would be way bigger if I'd never started I think!

Lately all I've done to motivate myself is buy new clothes that don't fit, but that's not a good tactic as it just makes me miserable Grin

I think my plan will be two-fold to start with:

Meal plan using my SW recipe book and this thread
Do the Shred daily - exercise really does motivate me I find.

Ok!

EmilyK83 · 08/03/2016 11:16

Yeahhhhhh...3lb off - so that's my 1.5st and club 10 awards today! Now 1st 9lb in 9 weeks, and weigh 13 stone on the dot - can't remember last time I saw the scales with a 12 at the front, hoping for at least a pound off next week!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/03/2016 11:34

Oh and another of my big problems is snacking with the baby/finishing his toast etc! Not good.

Well done Emily. I've never been less than 13st since I first weighed myself at about 12 years old! Have always been a size 16 bottoms Shock you must have started around the same weight as me but you've lost so much more in so much less time! Well done.

Katenka · 08/03/2016 11:40

Sorry my advice was for bendy not Flossy! Blush

Katenka · 08/03/2016 11:48

Well done on the losses.

bendy how do you find online. I tried that first. From November to Christmas I lost 8lb. Put it all back on. January I didn't lose anything, so went to a consultant and group.

I am down 16.5lb in 5 weeks. Do you feel you get enough support from the online package?

EmilyK83 · 08/03/2016 11:54

Bendy - you can do it!! Found the biggest help for me is drinking more water (or sugar free squash) when I'd normally go for a snack instead - fills me up and means I'm only eating at mealtimes!

Flossyfloof · 08/03/2016 12:14

Katenka - rest assured I have taken it all on board anyway!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/03/2016 12:14

Hmm. Yes I used to get through gallons of squash and that was when I was losing, thinking about it. I stopped because I worried about the artificial ingredients but maybe I should get back on it.

Online... There isn't much support but then I don't seek it out and don't log on much to be fair. Their recipe database is extensive but the search function isn't good.
I have looked at the local groups but they are all around DS' bedtime or later. I think I just need to find the motivation myself to be honest!

So today is:

B: banana and a bowl of Just Right from the festering box at the back of the cupboard - synful but not a lot else in. HEs and syns.

S: total yoghurt and nectarine and a drop of maple syrup

Then I posted my post above and am now going to get back on plan:

L: jacket potato with mushrooms in quark and a salad

D: leftover SW fajita chicken and rice

OrianaBanana · 08/03/2016 12:18

I find if I drink a fizzy drink at lunchtime that fills me up, esp with a muller light if I'm not on SP. I usually have salad but with the drink + yoghurt it fills me up 'til dinner time. I try and save my syns for a nice treat in the evening, like nice gin (with slimline tonic, ice and lime - gotta have some speed...) or chocolate (or both) and that definitely helps. If I syn much too early it's disastrous!

Today, another SP day:

B - oat crisp (HExB1), 1% milk (HExA), coffee
L - salad nicoise-ish thing: lettuce, tomatoes, pepper, 8 olives (1.5 syns), tuna, prawns, gherkins, ff dressing, pepsi max
D - creamy pork with greens from the new book - I'll have to check it's SP friendly; if not I might just have it anyway and syn the hifi lights.
S - apple, satsumas, cherry tomatoes, hifi lights (HExB2), tea, probably a Cadbury's flake (7) or gin (3). Or both if I haven't synned any hifis, and if I feel the need (stressful day).

It's good to have something in the evening to look forward to, and it stops me from synning until then; so if I have them last thing at night, it works!

Katenka · 08/03/2016 13:09

I drink loads of squash with hot water. I am a bit worried about the ingredients, but I can worry about that when I have lost the last 1 stone 9lbs, I want to loose.

I find having my cheese (HEA) keeps me from snacking in the afternoon. The days I don't have it, I am starving.

HemanOrSheRa · 08/03/2016 16:10

Good afternoon! Can I join in please?! I will be rejoining SW on Thursday this week. Again. I thought I would post here now to commit myself! I've also texted the group consultant to let her know I will be back!

I've have put on a horrific amount of weight in the last 4 months and stopped exercise (running was my torture of choice!). My Dad became very ill, very suddenly in Oct/Nov last year and was diagnosed with advanced, terminal cancer. He died mid Jan. So it's been a tough old time and I have completely lost control of my eating and drinking habits over the last few months. I really need to get a handle on this now before it becomes too much of a problem and seems insurmountable.

So.......back to SW on Thursday and back to my running group next week Smile.

I LOVE the idea of the 'syns bags' that Emily mentioned upthread. So will definitely be doing those. Does anyone have any more suggestions of things I can stock up on before Thursday for treat bags?

Also, has anyone tried the SW ready meals? I know there aren't ideal but I'm trying to get prepared and cover all situations. I know in the past if I've had a busy evening, or when I go out for a run, I'm inclined to fall off the wagon. So I reckon if I get a few of these in the freezer I won't have any excuses!

Buttwing · 08/03/2016 16:40

Hi all, I weighed in last night and I'd put 1.5lbs on. I'm ok with that as I've spent four days eating out of a hospital vending machine!
Thanks for the lovely comments, babywing is much better and has been his usual Tasmanian devil self today albeit a rather spotty rashy one!!

I'm doing sp today as I feel like I need to refocus. As I've said before I don't enjoy them one bit but actually today's not been too bad. I've made a syn bag for later which I'm looking forward to.

B-melon and coffee

L- sw burger, salad, pickles and wholemeal roll (heb)

D- chicken stirfry with garlic, chilli, ginger and soy sauce.

Welcome to the new people Smile and welcome back bendySmile

BasinHaircut · 08/03/2016 18:06

heman that sounds like a tough time.

Welcome to the thread though.

I've had a good day so far but I'm starving now!

B - wearability and skimmed milk
L - pastrami and cous cous salad (random shit needed using up)

Dinner will be chicken and mushroom risotto. Will do some speed veg to go with it but not sure what I've got in the fridge till i look.

Gonna stick one of those muller Greek things in the freezer for a fake ice cream later

AvaLeStrange · 08/03/2016 18:07

Hi all - wow its been busy here today!

Congratulations to all the losers. I have weigh in at 7.30 so have just had a tandoori chicken salad & about to have yet another glass of water. I'm sure my colleagues must think there's something wrong with my plumbing on Mondays & Tuesdays!

Am worried about DD as she is eating in secret again - there's nothing major going on, I think its just lack of willpower (know the feeling) and not keeping track. I think she might maintain or even gain this evening, which is fine but I think will be upsetting for her.

Am going to start making up some treat bags (thanks Em) so she can see what she can have in a day and is more in control of it.

BasinHaircut · 08/03/2016 18:07

Wearability????? Weetabix!!!!!

BasinHaircut · 08/03/2016 18:10

ava Flowers

Will she talk to you about it?

I know it's not the same but DH was secret eating because he didn't want to let me down. I told him we all cheat a bit and made sure he knew it was ok to want treats and struggles a bit.

If it's lack of will power rather than emotional eating that's good though right?
