Do you know what made you put on weight so quickly Katie?

Kim82 · 27/02/2016 20:08

I did so well today until I ate the kids' leftover pizza as I was starving as I hadn't eaten my tea - still haven't, it's in the oven as I type. So much for me behaving myself this weekend. Oh well, what's done is done and I should still hopefully manage some kind of loss this week...

KatieT12 · 27/02/2016 20:20

No stumbly probs lack of exercise, I'd eat the recommendation of calories, but no activity... So I think that's were

lunatrick · 27/02/2016 20:58

I'm on the verge of falling off the wagon right now. I've had my dinner (free chili and rice) but had no lunch because we were out and there was nothing I fancied eating. I feel like I'm all vegged out -I can't face anything healthy right now. I am still hungry and craving cake or chocolate. I still don't feel as though I've lost anything this week, even though I've been on plan all week. I've got a supermarket opposite me and I'm so tempted to pop over and binge on crap, but know I'll regret it.

I've been under on my syns every day so far, and only used 2 today, so it wouldn't hurt to have something a bit off plan, would it? I know that's the idea of syns, to get it out of my system, but I'm worried I haven't lost this week and if when I weigh in on Monday it's not good, then I'll blame my treat, if I have one.

Oh to go back to the days where I didn't care and was guilt free Grin

Kim82 · 27/02/2016 21:19

You have plenty syns to be able to have a bar of chocolate luna so definitely treat yourself. I have probably been over syns today and am trying to resist eating crap as I also weigh in on Monday. I have a wedding to go to next weekend too so I'm wanting maximum loss before then. Just a shame my stomach doesn't listen to my logical brain!

lunatrick · 27/02/2016 21:42

Thanks Kim! Just had a meltdown on my husband and he's gone over to the shop to buy me a bag of maltesers! I may be premenstrual - just checked app on my phone that tells me I'm due in 8 days. That would explain why I'm feeling so crap. I think I'll cry if that also affects my weigh in on Monday and I don't lose much.

tabulahrasa · 27/02/2016 22:08

A bag of maltesers won't even take you over a days syns, it's not off plan at all.

Use your syns, it's what they're there for, you're not supposed to live on as little of them as you possibly can, they're for having a bar of chocolate or a bit of cake (or whatever) and not feeling guilty about it...because they are part of the plan too.

lunatrick · 27/02/2016 22:18

Thank you tabulahrasa that's pretty much what I thought, but had a wobble. I enjoyed the maltesers. Glad I had them, but feel like I've had my fix and don't need any more crap.

AvaLeStrange · 27/02/2016 22:32

Maltesers are our fave treat - and Jaffa cakes Smile

calzone · 27/02/2016 22:37

So need to get back on track with a vengeance tomorrow - it's looking promising that I'll have my kitchen back by the evening so:

Sunday:

B - bacon, scrambled egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, maybe toast

L - mugshot, fruit salad yoghurt

D - roast gammon, lots of veg - if I stick some quark in saucepan with a smidge of mustard & HexA cheese will they melt together ok to make a sauce for cauliflower?

Monday

B - marmite on HexB toast

L - mugshot, fruit, yoghurt

D - baked, marinated salmon fillet with loads of stir fry veg

Tuesday

B - fruit & yoghurt

L - SW ready meal

D - tuna nicoise salad

Weigh in - eek!

Do you reckon that'll pull it back? I'll be happy with just 1lb off tbh at the moment I'd settle for a maintain

FannyGlum · 28/02/2016 08:19

I joined online last night. I've done it before successfully.

I tried to do overnight oats and failed! 35g oats and a mullerlight. Half the oats hadn't absorbed. So I made it into pancakes instead. Any ideas what I did wrong?

OrianaBanana · 28/02/2016 08:22

Fanny did you stir it really well? I also add frozen fruit (also stirred in) for extra flavour and moisture.

cowboylover · 28/02/2016 08:29

Well done Luna for keeping it in control. I think you have done exactly the right thing turning that potential binge out in to one bag of Maltesers on plan.

I had not heard of more Syns if your bigger than 16st and I still have a way to go to get there so won't feel too bad when I am having the full 15 now.
I started at over 20 stone and that was difficult to take! But I sound different in that I had been that size or at least 18 stone plus for around 10 years.

Yesterday I stuck to my planned meals. Today I'm having Bran Flakes before I meet my friends at McDonalds for a ride on my motorbike so I hope my eating first I can resist the bacon. Going for lunch at my friends Mums house so lunch is unknown and probably 2 coffee shop stops on the ride but looking forward to dinner of Diet Coke Chicken when I'm home.

Have a good day all!

BasinHaircut · 28/02/2016 08:34

Morning!

Today will look like this:
B - weetabix and milk
L - leftover pastitsio
D - chicken enchiladas and rice
The enchiladas are 8 syns each so I'm going to be over by 1 syn today as long as I don't eat any crap on our day out
Sn - banana, Apple

Katenka · 28/02/2016 08:38

It's ds' birthday party today. Hoping I can stay away from the sandwiches and cake.

The cake is here and it ok, not bothering me. But I know when I come home and it's been cut into, it will be so tempting.

Just need to focus on weigh in tomorrow morning and not go on a cake binge.

Cake is the one thing I can not have a bit of. Blush

calzone · 28/02/2016 08:38

Today will be......

B....Cherries and apple with Mullerlight and 40g crunchy bran

L....eggs and mushrooms and beans

D....roast chicken dinner

HEA milk
HEB bran

Syns......not sure yet

OP posts:
OrianaBanana · 28/02/2016 08:40

Morning all!

B - pear, coffee (HExA)
Brunch - hopefully poached eggs on wholemeal toast (HExB) poss about 4 syns for butter - seems best option at the restaurant...
D - spag Bol

I went over syns yesterday- I don't really know why, the muller bliss corners (4.5) needed eating so I had one, then decided I didn't need much for dinner so instead of cooking I ate pops (4)Confused then I had some whisky and some of my son's sweets. I ended up on 26.5 (conservative estimate) and no nice free dinner. Maybe I will forgo that butter and try and have as few syns as possible today. And make it an SP day...

OrianaBanana · 28/02/2016 08:40

I should say I'd already had 15 syns (Teacake and butter) by the time I ate the Muller bliss..

Kim82 · 28/02/2016 08:46

Morning all. My plan for today is:

B/L - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans

D - roast beef, potatoes and veg

I'm going to take the girls on a nice, long bike ride to get some exercise too. I WILL get my 1.5 stone award tomorrow...

Mummyme87 · 28/02/2016 09:00

Goodness, so 1/2lb off my first stone award and I go off plan 🙄
Thursday had fish and chips, although took the batter off the fish. Friday night I had almost half a bottle of prosecco in celebration of getting a mortgage in principle. Yesterday had nandos and then went to a murder mystery dinner and had lemon Mayo, honey on my parsnips and carrots, red wine gravy, followed by a scoop of ice cream and a chocolate fondant..oh and 2/3 of a bottle of prosecco 😳😱😭

Back on plan today. I will be so upset if I put in by Wednesday evening

Katenka · 28/02/2016 09:56

mummy try not to get upset. Get back on plan and put it behind you. I know it's easier said than done. Thanks

But it's already gone and past. You can't change it. Beating yourself up won't change it, it might make you reach for the food though. It would me. You can get back on plan and keep on heading towards towards your goal.

AvaLeStrange · 28/02/2016 10:50

You've got four days to pull it back Mummy - I know the feeling though - my weekend went off kilter too!

Just been out for all you can eat breakfast at local carvery. Had bacon, scrambled egg, tomatoes, mushrooms & baked beans & 2 filter coffees with semi skimmed, so feeling virtuous.

Have my kitchen back for the most part, but not really working so going to take some bits round to mums and knock up a fruit salad .

lunatrick · 28/02/2016 11:10

Thank you cowboy. I'm feeling much calmer this morning. In future I'll try not to skip a meal because it makes me ravenous and want to eat everything in sight!

So, this morning I had planned my usual breakfast of porridge, but my daughter asked if she could have scrambled eggs and beans and maybe bacon if we had any. So I ended up having bacon medallions, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans and fried egg. It was lovely! Felt like a real treat, even though it was all free. I'll probably have my porridge before we go for our walk later.

Dinner will be roast chicken and veg - I may push the boat out and have some stuffing and proper gravy!

EmilyK83 · 28/02/2016 11:38

Today's the last day of my weekend away...sob!! Leaving the house where we're staying soon, so decided to have brunch rather than breakfast and lunch because of timings.

So...today will look something like this...

B - half a wholemeal roll (half HexB), scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, spinach and mushrooms

Fruit to snack on in the afternoon

D - salmon in parsley sauce with mash and veg

Alpen Light as the other half of my HexB, probably milky tea and hot choc as my HexA...
