I've not done great today, I had an alpen light bar for breakfast then ate dd3's toast which she refuses (white bread), a crisp sandwich (also on white bread), another packet of crisps and two Aldi digger biscuits (similar to penguins). I feel so disappointed with myself after doing well all week. This always happens when dh is off work. I'm fine until dh is at home for a full day and watching him eat whatever he wants makes my willpower disappear!

I am determined not to continue eating shit all day though, I'm having fish and veg for tea and I have plenty fruit to munch on if I get hungry later. I do really want a takeaway curry now though after reading the last few posts!

Katenka · 26/02/2016 16:43

kim well done for getting back on track quickly rather than just carrying on and starting again tomorrow.

I sympathise. Dh can't put weight on even when he tries. I have got to the point though now that even when he eats crisps and stuff I don't feel the need to. It just takes time.

Last night he had 2 packets of crisps while I had some melon and I was even tempted to eat his crisps.

Katenka · 26/02/2016 16:45

Was also helps me is sitting down and working out the Syns in what I have eaten. Even if it's after a bad day.

It's obviously better if you look them up before, but I find actually looking at how many Syns I have used and thinking about wether I really enjoyed them or not is enough to kick my up the bum. Also gives you and idea about evening the Syns out across the week.

Kim82 · 26/02/2016 17:05

Eek, I've just worked it out and I think it's around 36 syns that I've had today - oops! I'll have fewer syns tomorrow and Sunday to try and make up for it and I'll take the kids out for a long walk over the weekend ready for Monday's weigh in.

It could have been much worse though as dh was angling for a takeaway for tea but I've refused and said we're having fish.

It has helped adding up the syns and made me feel more in control, thanks for that tip Katenka

Katenka · 26/02/2016 17:15

You are welcome and well done for adding them up.

I am sure you can pull it back so your Syns average over the week.

I know consultants say you can flexi syn. Although I don't know tons about it.

And well done for sticking by your guns over the fish Grin

KatieT12 · 26/02/2016 17:15

I've had bacon and I normally get the one with no fat, but I couldn't. I tried getting all the fat off, but it was impossible... I hope it doesn't effect me too much Hmm

stumblymonkey · 26/02/2016 17:32

I somehow forgot to have lunch today so...

B: Quinoa 'porridge' with raspberries and honey (2 Syns) and half HeA skim milk

Snack: Raspberries, muller light and meringue nest (3 Syns)

Dinner: Chilli and sweet potato wedges

HeB: 1x hi-fi, 1 x small slice toast
Other Syns: 4 sugar in teas, and whatever butter for my toast works out to be

I get 20 Syns though!

KatieT12 · 26/02/2016 17:34

stumbly I'm also allowed 20 Grin but I've finished on 4 1/2 today. Smile

BasinHaircut · 26/02/2016 17:59

lunch went off plan today.

Breakfast was weetabix and milk but lunch was beans and cheese on 2 x normal sized toast (one of those 50/50 loaves). No butter though! Grin

I don't even have any idea how many syns that is but probably all or just over two 15 allowance.

Dinner is smoked fish florentine though which is 0 syns and I've got circuit training in a mo so hopefully will work off the extra!

going shopping in the morning for lots of on-plan food and I've meal planned the shit out of next week.

BasinHaircut · 26/02/2016 18:01

And I've lost my slimming world book so can't look up any syns!

Katenka · 26/02/2016 18:08

Can you get online?

Buttwing · 26/02/2016 18:23

Hey all, good day for me today. I had a bit of a rubbish evening last night as I tucked into some cake I really shouldn't have!

B-fruit and yogurt

L-fruit and yogurt

D-steak, salad, and corn on the cob

Hea-skimmed milk
Heb-2hifis

Syns-mini malteser bunny (3)
Might have some ice ream later.

emwithme · 26/02/2016 18:42

The assessment last night went pretty well, I think - I'll find out in 4 to 6 weeks. Had my usual post-assessment treat of fish, chips and curry sauce and enjoyed every mouthful.

sounbelievablydull 5 lbs in 4 weeks is excellent. You're obviously a slow and steady burner. A pound lost a week, every week, adds up to 3 stone 10 in a year! It's taken me 8 months to lose 2 stone, so I have 17 weeks to lose 18 lbs if I want to meet that (which I do!)

Today's food:

Breakfast: Grapefruit, banana, apple, plums (from the SOTW basket)
Lunch: Bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms
Snack: Apple, satsumas
Dinner: Diet coke chicken with new potatoes
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

Katenka · 26/02/2016 18:58

Just had my Chinese. Wash lush and only had to syn the oil.

B - was fruit salad before kick boxing
L - chicken with butternut squash and baby sweetcorn and cheese (HEA)
D - noodles with beef fillet. Had mange tout and butternut squash with it.

Snacks have been an apple. Will have 2 X hifi light and some melon later.

Has anyone else found their appetite has gone down. Usually in the afternoons I am ravenous and the last few days I haven't been hungry much.

annatha · 26/02/2016 19:07

Hands up who weighs midweek? Official WI is tomorrow but I find myself jumping on the scales every morning and it needs to stop. I've put on since yesterday (still a loss from last week and will still get my 1.5 stone tomorrow) but it's just made me feel like eating everything in sight today. Had 15 syns in about 30 seconds scoffing chocolate. Next week is going to be hard anyway as we're moving house, celebrating my birthday and going out for a meal so was hoping for a good loss his week to counter it.

KatieT12 · 26/02/2016 19:10

Yes Kat

anna I weigh all the time, but I find it helps me

Hay135 · 26/02/2016 19:59

Anna I weigh a couple of times a week I just can't help myself Blush.

I got a significant birthday at the end of next month that I wanted to be at 10st it which seemed realistic when I set it but now feels impossible especially as I have a busy few weeks leading up to it and 9lbs to go. Don't want to loose motivation but it's difficult knowing I'm unlikely to meet my target. Thinking of doing a few SP days to try and help but my consultant recommends doing it for the week, which I would struggle with. Has anyone done sp for just part of the week and did you get a decent weight loss.

Katenka · 26/02/2016 20:07

I do 3 or 4 so days a week.

I have lost 12lb in three weeks. I don't know if it's down to that or just the inital larger weigh loss that some people get.

Katenka · 26/02/2016 20:11

I do sp

Kim82 · 26/02/2016 20:11

I have done it for four days so far this week (Mon-Thur) and had lost 3lb by this morning but today I ate loads of crap so will probably have put a bit back on when I weigh tomorrow morning. I will be doing sp again over the weekend though before WI on Monday so I'll let you know how it goes after 6 days on it.

calzone · 26/02/2016 20:43

I'm getting tired myself now!
