I've made the Lemon & herb pasta salad from the website 3x in just over a fortnight, and neither DD or I are usually big pasta eaters, so I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. We add lean cooked chicken & ham/bacon, cherry tomatoes, sweetcorn, cucumber and lightly cooked green beans to make it a bit more substantial. One portion of the recipe with all the extras we add makes 2 good size portions for our lunches.

Welshloser · 25/02/2016 21:27

On day 3 and think I have stuck to plan....not sure I've eaten enough today but I have a stinking cold!

Today I have eaten

B - blueberries, rasberries and a hifi light (hex b)
L - large salad with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber topped with cooked chicken one light babybell (1/3 of hexa)
D - mug shot and blueberries and rasberries

S - 2 light babybell (rest of hexa)

Pepsi max (750ml), sugar free squash and lots of water.

😃

BasinHaircut · 25/02/2016 21:27

Great Emily it looks lush too!

Going on the list to try!

tootsweets · 25/02/2016 22:03

Hello all.

Feeling Angry as I gained half a pound this week.
9.5 off in 6 weeks.
May have lost my SW mojo.

Sounbelievablydull · 25/02/2016 22:45

Only 1lb off so total of 5lbs in 4 weeks!!!😢😢😢
A woman sitting next to me had lost this in her first week!
i am really determined to stick with it though as otherwise type two diabetes is the future for me

cowboylover · 25/02/2016 23:58

Thanks Oriana, that's exactly what I hoped to find, help motivate me to find something different.

Well done on the losses 4.5lb is great!
Weighed tonight and lost 2.5lb I was hoping for more after the 5 days on fast forward plan but honestly had so much larger Saturday night and hangover food Sunday morning I should be really pleased with that.

I am now in the 16's for the first time in probably 10 years so I am really pleased and NEVER want to see 17 again so feel a refreshed determination. Another 2lb and I will reach my interim target and half way to what I think will be my final target.

So am planning for next week, 4 SP days, changing my HeB and measuring my HeA again as realised its been a while Hmm

wowser3 · 26/02/2016 06:09

I have been on holiday to Norway , the hol spanned over 2 'slimming world weeks' if you know what I mean, so I effectively had 2 weeks off. My aim was to stay to plan as much as poss while there , we ate out on the first night and I was healthy but it was sooooo expensive , we couldn't afford to keep going into eateries , we were then mostly living off hotdogs and pizza slices from the 7-11 store ! When I got home I was still in holiday mode and eating takeaways. Last Friday I discovered I had gained 5lb Sad so I got back on it. Just weighed in and the scale shows a 1.5lb loss for this week. Hopefully I will continue to lose now the holiday is over!

EmilyK83 · 26/02/2016 09:36

So excited - a morning of work and then a weekend away with my bestie! Self-catered and she's doing SW too, so we've meal planned and shopped so we stay on track!

Today:

B - a pear, maybe an apple...

L - leftover sweet potato dauphinoise and whatever veg I can find

D - tandoori chicken with rice and veg

Alpen Lights for my HexB, a skinny latte later this morning for my HexA. Taking low syn treats away tonight as well, determined to be good!

Hay135 · 26/02/2016 11:07

I have maintained weight the past couple of weeks and over the last month I hve only lost 2lb. I was starting to feel a bit crap about it but I had measured myself last month and planes to do it each month. I wa shock today when I had lost 6cm from by breasts, 4cm from my waist and a cm from each arm!
I am so happy that even if the numbers on the scales aren't going down by body shape is changing so the exercise and food optimising is working.
More motivated to stay on plan now 😀

Sounbelievablydull · 26/02/2016 11:43

Hay that's a really good idea.
And well done that's great you can probably notice the difference in your clothes

EmilyK83 · 26/02/2016 12:09

Hay that's amazing, well done!! A pound of muscle and a pound of fat may weigh the same, but they take up less space - measurements make sense!

EmilyK83 · 26/02/2016 12:09

Muscle takes up less space, that is!!

AvaLeStrange · 26/02/2016 13:11

Have great time Emily!

DH's best mate is down this afternoon for the weekend, but has unforunately coincided with BIL being able to do some work on the house for us so its currently a freezing cold tip in here, wi fi is off and I look like the wreck of the Hesperus! Have less than 2 hours to sort house & self before the school run.

On the bright side have an evening to myself with log fire & wine as boys are off out and DD has traded an early night tonight for a late one and a sleepover in my bed tomorrow!

Insideout2015 · 26/02/2016 14:11

Hello

Can I ask what you would recommend me to choose from an Indian takeaway? I don't want to ruin everything....

BasinHaircut · 26/02/2016 15:10

inside have a biriyani. 12 syns all in. Don't touch the bhajis though!

Insideout2015 · 26/02/2016 15:25

Basin wow, only????
I love popadomus? Should i abolisce them?
What if i get potatoes with spinach plus pilau rice? Too much?

BasinHaircut · 26/02/2016 15:28

TBH I'm not sure about other stuff but I like biriyani! Grin

I think pilau rice is about 4 syns.

OrianaBanana · 26/02/2016 15:33

I think a popadom is only about 4 syns?

OrianaBanana · 26/02/2016 15:34

Or try tandoori chicken or a veggie curry (for the speed) or maybe some sort of tomato- based curry?

Katenka · 26/02/2016 15:50

Are you having the take away at home?

We are having a Chinese. We know the owners and they make me a meal and tell me what's in it. Like how much oil they use etc.

I usually have noodles with beef fillet and a sauce on it.

Since veg tends to have oil on it to from the Chinese I make some veg at home and then eat it with it so I still get my third in.

It's a bit of a faff, but may help.

Dh is going to see if they can do oil less veg tonight.

tabulahrasa · 26/02/2016 16:10

Chickpea Dahl is 5 syns, Bombay potatoes 7, a chappatti is 7.5 and boiled rice is free.

I usually have Dahl or potatoes anyway, so I've swapped a naan for a chappatti and have boiled rice and it's not too bad...can't help you with meat though.

Insideout2015 · 26/02/2016 16:12

Oh wow, Thank you, i AM sure i will find something from What you ladies mentioned. I love chickpeas and also tandoori....mmmm.... I am salivating already!!!!!!

AvaLeStrange · 26/02/2016 16:13

Your Chinese sounds great Katenka.

We have a curry house near us that specialises in nutritionally balanced, lower fat takeaways but I've never tried it.

I'd probably go for tandoori chicken or chicken tikka (on skewers) with plain rice and make myself some salad and low fat minty yoghurt dip if I was feeling really virtuous.

Otherwise I'd have the chicken with Gobi aloo saag, which is not as low syn as I'd hoped but probably better than a lot of options.

AvaLeStrange · 26/02/2016 16:16

How's everyone doing generally today?

Have been rushed off my feet and house is mayhem so have managed only a hifi light and an omelette so far.

Plenty of leeway for that wine tonight then Wink!

Katenka · 26/02/2016 16:22

I have ds to thank Ava he is best friends with their son at school. So we have become quite friendly Grin
