sleepless - at least you had the baby GrinWink

Katenka · 20/02/2016 14:04

Can I ask, do you have to have the Syns everyday?

Some days I have only had a few, one day I didn't have any. I wasn't depriving myself I just felt fine without them.

But now wondering wether I should add them in.

KatieT12 · 20/02/2016 14:14

Kat - I don't think you need to... As long as you're eating enough! I think there's enough free food to not need them, but I definitely don't think you have to have them

EmilyK83 · 20/02/2016 14:42

Oriana...I've been losing while having a max of 10 most days, I guess I'm just scared in case going up to 15 means I lose less! Been doing less walking this week too, as the weather's been miserable...tomorrow, though, dp is FINALLY getting rid of an old wooden cabinet that takes up half our living room, so will have space for hula hooping again! Grin

EmilyK83 · 20/02/2016 14:42

Katenka - 5-15 a day is recommended, but they don't need to be "treats" - could just be things like a bit of butter on toast, some extra milk etc...

Katenka · 20/02/2016 14:46

Thank you.

Yeah I could add them to my meals.

I came to SW again after just 'clean eating' for 3 years since I left. But I didn't lose anymore because I would binge eat after being deprived.

So it's a hard habit to break, adding things to food I wouldn't have had.

KatieT12 · 20/02/2016 14:54

I don't like butter Sad do you really need to have syns? My consultant said I can have upto 20 cos I'm extra fat (her wording "because my metabolism works different" Grin)

I don't really do any exercise though, so I think it'll be okay if I have none-2 maybe!

Kim82 · 20/02/2016 14:56

FFS, I can't stop eating and it's all the wrong stuff! I think this week is going to be my first gain. I need to try and pull it back for my weigh in on Monday. I WILL have a salad for tea and then I'll be 100% on plan tomorrow and will take the kids swimming to get some exercise in. I'm really disappointed in myself. I have a wedding to go to two weeks today and I need to lose as much as possible by then, this will not be achieved by shovelling crisps and white bread into my face! Help!!!

KatieT12 · 20/02/2016 14:58

Kim - don't panic! Can you try and look at/watch some motivational stuff? Grin

calzone · 20/02/2016 15:30

B.....coffee
L....beans and eggs
D....will be Lidl lamb shank (1.5) with swede and potato carrot mash, broccoli

Meal plan for the week is.....

Sunday.....roast chicken et al
Monday...,,spicy chicken rice and spinach
Tuesday....frittata and salad
Wednesday.....jacket potato, cheese and beans
Thursday.....vegetable soup

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2016 15:52

Toby car very tonight and I'm sure as hell the roasties aren't made with fry light!!

Linda131963 · 20/02/2016 16:07

Hi , Have enjoyed reading this forum hope it's OK to join in ! I am a serial dieter ! My wardrobe looks like a charity shop all sizes from 12 to 22 ! Joined SW on 04/01/16 at my fattest yet ! 17stone 2.5lb , have lost 1 stone 4.5lb so far so fairly pleased . Had a few days away this week , one very SW unfriendly ! Weigh in is Monday so trying to have as much speed / free as poss ! X

AvaLeStrange · 20/02/2016 16:14

Wow Linda - that's an amazing achievement in such a short space of time.

I had my whole scone with jam & cream and enjoyed every minute of it. Had a syn free breakfast and have a syn free dinner planned so not going to worry about it.

The rest of the wine can wait until tomorrow as I'm not back at work until Tuesday.

KatieT12 · 20/02/2016 16:28

Just made the half a syn cake, it's lovely!

Linda131963 · 20/02/2016 16:51

Thanks Ava , sure your scone worth it ! I am back at work on Mon but away on a course Tues and Wed . Hopefully food will be OK , so determined this time , had such a fat summer last year made me miserable ! X

AtSea1979 · 20/02/2016 18:10

Half a syn cake sounds good!

AvaLeStrange · 20/02/2016 18:22

It was Linda!

Tonight's SW syn free chicken korma wasn't bad either, albeit not quite the same as the full shebang with cream, coconut & almond.

Amazingly though I'm not feeling grumpy and hankering after the real thing. I'm just pleased the alternative is OK and know I'll enjoy the real thing all the more next time I have it.

I'm doing the 12 wk countdown programme so if I hit my first target at the end of that I might treat myself.

maygirl · 20/02/2016 18:34

Hi new people 😊
Out with last night but offered to drive and stuck to a salad .Was funny seeing everyone else drunk, I'd usually be one of the worst, total lightweight!
B porridge, berries he A and B sweet freedom (0.5) .Alpen bar (3)
2 hrs gym, and a swim with DC
L egg fried rice with lots of veg, pork, chicken and salad
Piece of cake at friends (10 syns?)
Dinner will be salmon, cous cous, carrots and green beans . Want some wine but no syns left 😭

Linda131963 · 20/02/2016 20:01

Hi Ava , your curry sounds nice , l have not even told OH l am doing this ( again ) managed so far to get away with it ! Had a roasted salmon fillet with loads of veg tonight , luckily he shares the same taste in food so not looking strange yet ! Just seem to have done it so many times before , don't want to bore him with it again ! Guess it will be a while until he notices ! X

AvaLeStrange · 20/02/2016 20:23

My DH is not terribly supportive as I've ballsed it up so many times in the past.

He does not share the same taste in food so is getting a lot of ready-made 'bloke food' out of the freezer atm!

I have succumbed to the rest of the wine...day 'off plan' it is then...

annatha · 20/02/2016 21:06

I've found that I lose more if I eat 10+ syns a day oddly. Lost 3.5lb this week and seriously thought I'd messed up. I'm breastfeeding though so cheating a bit and I don't count milk/cheese. 20.5lb gone since 9th Jan! Haven't had any syns today but there are Maltese bunnies in the cupboard with my name on them.

calzone · 20/02/2016 21:17

Lamb was lovely but was 3 Syns.

Snacks
Toffee Mullerlight
Banana
Grapes
Plum
Hifi bar 3
Pufts 3.5
HEB Wholemeal thin, chicken and cranberry

Linda131963 · 20/02/2016 21:23

Ava sure some wine not the end of the world , when is your next weigh in ? Sure it will all be OK , l had a couple of really bad days this week , had a lovely night out with my sis who l don't see that often so made the most of it ! Sort of dreading class on Monday but know from the past if l don't go.......it will get worse !
Annatha , visited my folks this week & my mum has given me a bag with a Maltesers bunny Easter egg for my partner and myself ! PAH , betting they don't see the end of Feb ! Nice thought tho , my mum is kind ! I can even smell them when l look in the bag ! X

AvaLeStrange · 20/02/2016 21:38

Malteaster bunnies are yum - probably better than actual Maltesers IMHO.

Well, the wine's gone now as is the scone so too late to worry about it. I had an iffy day last Saturday due to family birthday party & only lost 1lb, so was hoping for better this week but not so confident now. Did think it was probably better to banjax it completely today and have three on plan days before weigh in (Tuesday evening) though.

Haven't even menu planned for the next three days which probably isn't good either Confused.

stumblymonkey · 21/02/2016 15:03

Well I went over Syns yesterday by four but not the end of the world since I've been good the rest of the week.

Today I'm having:

Brunch: Bacon medallion and beans on wholemeal bread (HexB)

Afternoon Snack: Fresh fruit salad and muller light

Dinner: roast chicken (no skin), carrots, green beans, going to roast some boiled new potatoes with a bit of fry light, roasted parsnips with fry light and then use some Syns for gravy, stuffing and Yorkshire pud.
