maygirl......I plateaued for a while then decided to only eat speed fruit and vegetables for a week.

Salad
Citrus
Apples
Pears
Melon

I avoided grapes, mango, persimmon and figs. Chose tangerines and melon most days and lost 3.5lbs that week.
I avoided potatoes and pasta for a while using cauliflower rice or courgetti or Butternutsquetti and I didn't bloat at all.

Just a thought. :)

Thanks Calzone. Most of my meals are SP, nearly always have cauli rice/celariac and speed veg, but do sometimes have non speed fruit, and skip the HeB2 when I do that .Will try a week of all speed fruit veg and speed HeB choices though Smile. Main problem I think is eating out at weekends, drinking more than 2 wines, feeling tipsy and forgetting about SW!

Enjolrass · 21/11/2015 16:59

I think I need to try the pasta made out of vegetables.

Sounds really good and healthy

overitalready · 21/11/2015 17:52

Welcome enjo

cal Philly cheese fries :

Make your s/w chips as normal then add onions, peppers, mushrooms and steak (receipe states use frying steak..I always use rump for the flavour) into frying pan. Add splash of balsamic vinegar, Worcester sauce, cayenne pepper and smoked paprika until fried off.

Slap it over the cooked chips, add your cheese and stick it under the grill under the cheese melts and ta da! Beautiful!

Today :

B - fruit

L - mugshot and yog

D - Big Mac and spicy chips

S - Cadbury snack might have 2

Enjolrass · 21/11/2015 18:38

Thank you!

So today I have had

B - nothing (I never eat it)

L - beans on toast (small wholeness as a b choice)

D - home made chilli with extra lean mince and loads of veg

Syns - non (not for any reason other than I haven't fancied any)

If I don't use my Syns can I go over slightly on other days or is it set each day?

I am allergic to cows milk so not really sure what I about a choices

Heyheyheygoodbye · 21/11/2015 18:55

Enjolrass (great UN btw) you can use up to 60 syns in one day I believe if you save them up. I believe you can't have more than 8 syns on any other day in the week if you do that.

B - banana and satsumas
L - chicken, cheese on toast hexa and hexb, Pops 4 syns, cherry toms, apple, grapes
D - salmon with veg, muller light, 2 mini meringues 2 syns

Also tasted a few dishes cooking for tomorrow's big family do, about 3 syns probably.

Tomorrow's going to be a write-off I think Hmm

Enjolrass · 21/11/2015 19:16

I think I may try to do that this week. I am going out for drinks and dinner on Friday night. So will save some up for then.

Pisghetti · 22/11/2015 00:39

I'm sooo over on Syns already this week Hmm I preplanned for our meal out last night and chose grilled veggie dishes (nothing with cheese and I love cheese) and they came swimming in oil. Couldn't believe it! It was also a rare night off from driving so the drinks didn't help Blush

Today went well. Eggs and spinach with wholemeal toast and HeA cheese for breakfast. Almost declared there was nothing here for lunch but managed to find all the necessary ingredients for a Quorn chilli so had that with couscous (knocked up in the time it took DP to make a bacon sandwich!). Unplanned evening at friend's - I took crudités, some free dip, a free pasta salad and fancy potatoes. I did have a slice of pizza though as they got a veggie one in just for me Smile driving again so no drink... I think it's 8 or 9 Syns for the pizza but I haven't totted up yesterday yet (and I was over on Thursday). I got some carrot and squash 'spaghetti' in the reduce bit in Tesco earlier do might try more SP meals. Can't do SP days as I've a metric tonne of that pasta salad left over.

Enjolrass · 22/11/2015 09:24

D- chicken and bacon risotto

trashcanjunkie · 22/11/2015 16:47

Hi everyone

I've just joined slimming world online (bronze package) and I'm finding the everything a bit of a mindfuck. I've got a lot of weight to lose.

I had been hflc and followed the boot camp threads, but didnt manage to keep on plan, so ended up getting heavier.

I have got gut problems (which are being thoroughly investigated) so I thought I'd try a low carb low, fat diet for three months, and see how that went. It would be amazing to be able to get support here, as it's such a massive turnaround for me to suddenly eat low fat, and starting any new food regime feels a bit like learning a new language. I feel a bit lost and scared.

I'm getting married in October next year, and would like to shed around seven stone.

I am also embarking on an excercise plan. I'm currently doing short runs three to five times weekly, and am starting to do the dreaded shred next week, although I have to be very careful with excercise as I have eds.

Enjolrass · 22/11/2015 17:40

Hi trash

I am finding it a bit confusing too. Although I did it a while ago, it's changed a lot.

I have been here just over a day and everyone has been lovely and helpful! Smile

maygirl · 22/11/2015 17:44

I remember those days enjol I don't think it is anymore. Hi trashcanjunkie, I tried low carb higher fat too without success.
B grapenuts and low fat yog, HeB.
Orange, few bits left over lamb, roast veg and mint yog dip
L sw chips with curry sauce made from leftover veg curry blended up with some mushy peas, to fulfil a craving! Tomatoes
Pear
D southern style chicken, buffalo sauce, beetroot and carrots 3.5syns
Small piece choc 3 syns 1 small wine 4.5 syns HeA milk in tea + coffee
Next week will be SP

Enjolrass · 22/11/2015 17:52

Thanks mayi am sure I will get to grips with it...eventually.

B - none

L - bacon sandwich with wholemeal bread (HEB) and ketchup (syn)

D - meatballs (low fat mince) with a homemade tomato and garlic sauce, salad and halloumi (HEA and some Syns)

Snacks - 2 satsumas and melon

Syns - 9

It's been ok, but the halloumi was more Syns than I expected. So kind of messed up there, but had enough Syns left over so still within my limit.

On the plus side dh and dd have decided to do a healthy eating plan with me, so we will all be eating the same. Dd is positively excited at being able to have a bacon sandwich for breakfast! Grin

Heyheyheygoodbye · 22/11/2015 18:17

Right: today's damage:

B - Apple
L - Vegan scramble while out (tofu, spinach, potato, red pepper, courgette), synning 6 for olive oil

I really enjoyed it all and I actually ate and drank a TON less than I usually would have. Back on it tomorrow and see what the damage is on Tuesday I guess.

overitalready · 22/11/2015 18:33

Welcome trash Any questions you have just ask and someone will be able to help you here.

Today

B - cheesy beans on wholemeal with spread

L - none

D - Spiced roast chicken with meg veg

S - Cadbury snack

Weight in tomorrow..nervous

Pisghetti · 22/11/2015 18:49

Hi trash. A lady at my group just got her 7 stone award 11 months in - good luck!

Ok so I totted up the damage on Friday - guessed 3tbsps oil plus some bread I nearly forgot and drinks.... Came to 61 Syns. Eek! Having gone over on Thursday as well, a slice of pizza last night and a glass of wine tonight I'm now at 107 for the week so no more Syns until next Thursday!!

Today has been:
B - pasta salad
L - pasta salad and cheese HeA
D - Quorn roast, SW roast potatoes, carrots, swede, gravy (1 Syn), small glass of wine (6 Syns)

There is a lot of pasta salad! The recipe (SW website) said it serves 4, I had a portion last night plus I had it for two meals today, DP also had it for breakfast and lunch and my son had it for lunch and there's still about three meals worth left!!

calzone · 22/11/2015 18:53

Anyone with any questions, please ask.

My appetite is definitely reduced and I am not craving things like I used to.

B.....none

L....vegetable soup

D....Italian beef stew (4) mashed celeriac, peas and sprouts
Tangerine

What queen products would you all recommend to try?

I used to eat the sausages but not tried the other products

calzone · 22/11/2015 19:03

Queen or quorn? :)

All the quorn is good imho.

I like the nuggets, fillets, mince, chunks. Asda sell the meals which I might try.
