Lost a pound this week which was more than I deserved - 4 out of 7 days were on plan (just about) with two SP days but wow, those middle 3 were off!!

So I'll have to try not to let that affect this week.

B - SW mini quiches (on the hoof), coffee (HExA)
L - salad with speedy veg and chicken
D - chicken stir fry and noodles

S - speed fruit, sushi (1.5), mikado (1), smoked mackerel (1), caramel hifi (HExB), Lindor ball (4), pops (5), stir fry sauce (2), and too many prawn crackers (loads... It was going so well...!)

I obviously snack too much. I try and save syns for the evening if I can but Lindor and pops at work scuppered me today.

EnglishRose1320 · 19/11/2015 17:00

Didn't have a great week last week but still managed to lose 1.5lbs and get my half stone award. Would like to speed up the weight lose a bit ideally.

So far today I woke up late and didn't have time to make my lunch so

Breakfast: banana

Snack: Apple

Lunch: cucumber sticks and I caved and had a cupcake in the staff room (hundreds of syns??)

Dinner: not decided yet but something with Quorn sausages.

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 19/11/2015 17:12

I took the most dry salad ever into my volunteer placement today, it ripped my mout to shreds. Is there a low syn honey and mustard or sweet chilli dressing you can recommend that actually tastes pleasant please?

Annarose2014 · 19/11/2015 17:18

Day 2 and I'm bloody starving. I had weetabix & milk for breakfast (hexa & hexb) and some left over stirfry from last nights dinner which was free except for a splash of hoisin which can't be that much.

But I'm ravenous! It seems my body is really really missing bread as without it I seem to be always hungry.

But have a massive spaghetti bolognese bubbling away for dinner so that'll help.

Wine tonight so trying to keep all my syns for that!

Buttwing · 19/11/2015 17:32

Annarose try snacking on meat, someone on here suggested more protein on days where I felt like nothing seemed to fill me up. It really does work. I will make a plate of ham, beef and chicken with salad and pickles and snack on it. Also hard boiled eggs are good I believe I don't like them but people at my group say they work.

I haven't eaten anything today as I feel rubbish. Oh well hopefully it will kickstart this weeks weightloss.

overitalready · 19/11/2015 17:34

Congrats to all that have lost so far!

Great lose this week calzone Star

Today :

B - Blueberries

L - Mugshot, alot of fruit & babble

D - Nandos chicken fake with uncle bens micro rice & salad

S - Cadbury snack

Lictionary · 19/11/2015 17:41

Hi can I join?

I'm a sw member of about 6/7 weeks, weigh in is tonight and despite having been on plan all week I strongly suspect I've maintained again which is becoming a downer. I drink plenty of water, alternate SP days with extra easy days and also cautious about portion control.

maygirl · 19/11/2015 17:47

Get well soon Buttwing. Blue Dragon light sweet chilli sauce is only 1 Syn per tbsp, maybe try that drizzled on salad Procrastinator?

B porridge with Apple HeB and HeA
Raspberries, grapes
Lots of winter spice hot ribena
L melon, leftover shepherds pie, brown sauce (1syn), raw carrot
A left over poppadom (2 syns)
D lamb leg steak cooked with Frank's red hot wings buffulo sauce (only 0.5syn for 3tbsp, used less) with pile grated carrot, red onion, red cabbage, and radish, raw pepper, 0.5 of a pitta (3.5syn) mayo (1syn) cous cous . Was yummy, crunchy veg and spicy veg in the pitta!

Will have Wine later for rest of syns

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 19/11/2015 18:26

Thanks for that tip maygirl, I usually like blue dragon products so I can't see that one being hideous:o

Weigh in tomorrow. I need 2lb. Not sure though. Wish me luckb

KittyOShea · 19/11/2015 19:03

B- melon and pineapple
L- Ryvita, laughing cow, banana
D- leftover shep pie and beans

Syns- 2 sugar, 3 hi fi so far...

FannyFanakapan · 19/11/2015 19:38

b: eggs tomato, toast
l: Chicken noodle soup. Pear, Yoghurt
d: chicken paella - about 20 syns total, but divided by 7, so Im going to count 5 to be sure. Glass of wine - 5.

Weigh in tomorrow.

A result today, I bought a sweet swing dress in Asda 9 here - size 16. It was too big at the top, I had to get a 14 (which is slightly tight, but Im delighted) - but I have to take it back, as a thread is pulled.

sosopurple · 19/11/2015 20:40

aaaggghh pmt blowout. choc croissant and lots of cereal. sob.

Pisghetti · 19/11/2015 20:42

Only 0.5lbs off which I'm really disappointed with. My own scales suggested I was heading for 3lbs off Hmm oh well onwards and downwards.

Butternut squash risotto is ready but the baby won't go to sleep and I'm unbelievably pissed at DP so I'm right in the mood to take things out on the fridge. I know it won't help. I'll have a glass of wine and an early night I think.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 19/11/2015 20:47

Addendum - had a meringue with berries and yog at PILs. 2.5 syns.

calzone · 19/11/2015 21:32

B.....egg and bacon thin

L....turkey meatballs with vegetable couscous

D....spaghetti with roasted vegetables and pesto, Parmesan (4)

OP posts:

KittyOShea · 19/11/2015 22:04

Addendum from me too. Some of DHs chips. Probably a zillion syns...

imwithspud · 19/11/2015 22:04

Well done every one on their losses.

I'm itching to get started now, got a massive SW friendly food shop coming Monday. I'm just worried it won't work out for me. I've done my meal plan for next week and as long as I stick to it I can't see why it wouldn't. I do worry about how I'm going to get enough speed foods into me though. I struggle to eat veg unless it's 'in' something like a bolognese/cottage pie etc or a soup, and fruit-wise I only really eat apples (but next week I'm going to try melon and see how I get on). I can do it though surely? Maybe doing SW will encourage me to expand my palette.

Annarose2014 · 19/11/2015 22:41

I'm the same spud. Really struggle with fruit & veg.

Particularly fruit which is all very sour to me. Only sweet apples and bananas so far, but will really have to extend my palate.

I'm nibbling on ham as a late night snack. You eat a lot of cooked meats on this, don't you?

calzone · 19/11/2015 23:32

You don't have to eat lots of cooked meat.....

I haven't snacked at all today. Just melon this morning.

I eat exactly what I want to eat and just make it SW friendly.

OP posts:

tabulahrasa · 20/11/2015 00:29

I don't eat meat at all, I'm technically pescatarian only I don't really eat much fish either.

Like calzone says, I just adapt stuff I like to eat.

calzone · 20/11/2015 07:31

Top 3 slimming world meals please. :-)

3. Pulled pork with salad
2. Chickpea Dhal Loaf

  1. Slimming World Spaghetti Carbonara **

** Amazing!!
OP posts:

ZylaB · 20/11/2015 08:33

1- fillet steak with SW chips and veg
2- chicken or meatballs in tomato and basil sauce with extra veg or salad
3- chicken stir fry with nandos dry rub (4 syns for whole packet!)

FannyFanakapan · 20/11/2015 12:44

  1. Lamb tagine

2. Stirfry, noodles and teriyake salmon
3. roast dinner with all the trimmings!

I dont tend to do SW meals specifically, as I dont like them - either too bland or too spicy. SO I adapt whatever the family are eating.

FannyFanakapan · 20/11/2015 12:45

oh and I lost a lb this week.

ANother 1/2 lb and I will be at 60 lbs! Gotta get that this week!

Buttwing · 20/11/2015 13:24

Well I got the best birthday present ever today! I now officially weigh 10 stone something.

It's all down to illness so I'm sure it will go back up, but for one day it feels greatGrin
