Hello Smile can I join? I joined my group last week after trying and failing to stay motivated doing it online. Thursday is weigh day and even though I'm not supposed to, I can't help but weigh myself most mornings at home Blush I need to stop really as it's discouraging. Very much on plan this week, though looking at everyone's daily meals, I feel like I could do with eating less and using less syns. I've got 2.5 stones to lose and it needs to go!

knowler · 15/12/2015 13:45

Had 2nd weigh in today and lost 2lbs. After my 8lb loss in the first week this felt like a bit of an anti climax even though I know it's really good. Hoping for another couple of lbs off before Xmas!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/12/2015 14:24

8lb in the first week!!!!!! That's amazing! So you've lost more than half a stone in 2 weeks? Well done :)

I'm dreading weigh in tomorrow, had a day off SW this week, plus a generally bad week, plus think I'm due a period so think I will gain :(

blondiep14 · 15/12/2015 14:27

Well I got 1/2 off, which I'm pleased with as the weekend was a bit of a write off and I expected to gain.
I wish I'd have done my battle from Argos to the car with a massive Wendy house in the rain before weigh-in. Sure that lost me another 1/2 Grin

knowler · 15/12/2015 17:12

Thanks bendy, I've got a lot to lose!!

How do people cope when they either gain or don't lose as much as they thought they would? I'm trying to see it as a life change rather than a diet but don't think I'm there yet.

OrianaBanana · 15/12/2015 18:24

I get peed off and fanatical the week after an unexpected gain or less good than it should have been week knowler. It never occurs to me to give up - I know I'll get there eventually and if I give up I will go up!

Wibblewobble100 · 15/12/2015 18:41

Not tried SP days yet.... But might have to give it a go, I did try to make Courgetti, but don't have a spiralizer and then steamed it and it was just a bit soggy. Anyone here experts in Courgetti and cauli rice?

Wibblewobble100 · 15/12/2015 18:47

Well done to all the losers! Ponty, I know what you mean about feeling like maybe you eat too much. I think maybe that's why my weight loss hasn't been as good as it should be. I wanted to try weighing pasta and rice - I usually go for 100g dried pasta or 60g rice, but the leader told me not to. I'm not convinced though, I simply can't believe that I can't eat piles and piles of pasta and loose weight. I have a sneaky suspicion that I'm not really managing at least a third speed foods - a lot of the fruit I eat aren't speed like grapes. Good luck in your first week!

maygirl · 15/12/2015 19:39

Hi DD Buttwing !
Anyone try heck zesty chicken sausages? Just got some and seen 0.5syn for 2 sausages .

KittyOShea · 15/12/2015 20:03

Hi all.
Weighed myself after work (I know I'm not supposed to!) and am same weight as last week. Can't believe I don't have a massive gain so am going to try my best tomorrow to lose that 1/2 pound and get my 3 stone award. Anyone think I have a chance in 24 hours?! Grin

B- porridge, yoghurt and fruit
L- ryvita (3 syns) with extra light laughing cow (1 syn) and fruit
D- curry with lots of veg a wee bit of rice and a handful of SW sweet potato chips

Syns- lunch 4, sugar 2, milk 2, hi fi 4 1/2 (halved a bar with DH)

Plan for 1/2 pound weight loss tomorrow

B- melon, pineapple and yoghurt
L- celeriac soup and fruit, 1 hi fi (1/2 hexb)

Then weigh in. Fingers crossed...

Buttwing · 15/12/2015 20:13

I've had a peep on the scales and I've put on (deserved) I'm out tonight for dinner and weigh in tomorrow. I'm doomed aren't I? The problem is I know I'm not going to be good tonight sigh I'm just going to have accept the gain this week. Will try harder next week!!

Heyheyheygoodbye · 15/12/2015 20:43

A Christmas miracle has occurred and I somehow lost a pound. I'll take it!

B - Muller and banana
L - veg soup
D - roasted potato, shallots and courgettes with cod and roasted vine toms. Was divine! Muller for pud and an apple. Am considering an Aldi bar for 11 syns as had none the last few days...but is work do tomorrow so perhaps I'd better save them!

Star to everyone doing well and Flowers for those struggling.

cowboylover · 15/12/2015 20:46

Welcome Ponty and Fingers crossed for you Buttwing!

SP day yesterday and today
B; Ham and mushroom egg muffins
L; Leek and potato soup
Snacks; loads of fruit, muller and HiFi's
D; Italian meatballs from Best loved cookbook with SW chips and sugar snap peas

Was supposed to be going to an exercise class tonight but I am so tired I'm just going to get an early night in. Hate working for a brewery at Christmas! But resisting treats as much as possible.

Weighing Thursday and not sure how I will do this time. Booked my first solo holiday so 25 weeks time and set my target to achieve my 5 stone award which so 24lb to go Smile

Annarose2014 · 15/12/2015 20:46

1 pound down, delighted as I am still really struggling with including speed foods.

Veggies at dinner are ok, but loathe fruit with breakfast and struggle with incorporating veg into lunch.

Pisghetti · 15/12/2015 21:09

Wibble I stir fry spiralised veg (with spray oil). I also choose to weigh pasta and rice. My portion control is poor and I eat until my food is finished, not until I am full.

Today has been...
B - banana and frozen Black Forest fruits in yogurt
S - 2 x hifi bars
L - 2 x mini potato dauphinois thingies (need to look up Syns), quorn pieces, peas and sprouts
D - quorn cottage pie with steamed vegetables.

DidgeDoolittle · 15/12/2015 21:14

I have lost 1.5 stone since September at SW. I have lost every week except this one. I have just been weighed and I have stayed the same. I am most pissed off as I haven't cheated. I need to lose next week or I will hit xmas feeling despondent. I eat when I'm not happy. I really need to stick to this and not give up.

maygirl · 15/12/2015 22:46

wibble courgetti is better stir fried but butternutsquetti is ok boiled/steamed. slice with potato peeler if don't have spirilizer. Cauli rice I use a grater or nutribullet and microwave it without added water for about 4mins I think.

SP day
B bacon, egg, HeB bread, stir fried greens.
L small bowl lentil bolognaise as soup
Hi fi HeB2, apple, Satsuma, ham slices
D lentil bolognaise with butternutsquetti, HeA cheese, and small salad
small wine 4 syns, some choc 6 syns

portion sizes I'm trying to serve out my third or half a plate speed veg first, then the protein, then tiny space for free carb foods if I'm not on SP, so never have a pile of rice or pasta anymore (sob!), so I don't weigh it, its never more than 1tbsp cooked. unless its sw chips. When I started I think I was chucking an extra 'third' of veg on top of my usual portion, thinking the mission was to get really full up so I wouldn't snack . Trying to change that mindset recently and allow some hunger between meals!

good luck everyone, and welcome new people!

It was a HEB thin with 25g mincemeat, pressed the edges down and covered with milk.....baked it in the George Foreman and served with cream.

Mincemeat pasty......

calzone · 15/12/2015 22:59

Tomorrow I am making it with grated apple to bulk it out

OP posts:
maygirl · 15/12/2015 23:10

That looks nice Calzone, I have some thins in the freezer, as I didn't feel they were substantial enough compared to other B choices! But this looks like a very satisfying way to enjoy one!

calzone · 15/12/2015 23:21

Oh, I love a thin, maygirl :)

Stuff them with ham salad.

This was delicious.

maygirl · 16/12/2015 00:08

I saw a SW blog where the writer made them into Steak Bakes with Asda tinned stewed steak! Egg wash to seal and top and bake in oven!

I will experiment!

calzone · 16/12/2015 07:29

I saw those too but the thought of tinned meat aka dog food, fills me with horror! :)

Mincemeat and Apple is delicious.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 16/12/2015 08:25

Omg calzone! I'm trying that.

Weighed in this morning, lost 1.5lb which I was not expecting so hurrah! That makes 8lb total since I started 4 weeks ago, and got my 7lb award today :)

Although, I am doing SW online and when you weigh in you can only put in to the half-pound - for example today I was 14 stone 7.2lbs on my scales, so I entered 14 stone 7 rather than 14 stone 7 and a half. I round to the nearest half pound. Is that ok? I suppose it's only a few oz difference anyway, is that right? I'm crap with figures!
