cowboylover · 10/12/2015 15:03

Well done on the losses and welcome! That's an awesome first week Smile

I agree Calzone this thread has really helped with my motivation recently as it had started to drop off a little so much better now I am checking in daily.

Really feeling off today so only had porridge with raspberries and coffee. Weighing later this evening.

KittyOShea · 10/12/2015 15:15

Another one who agrees with calzone. This thread really helps me keep on track. Gives me ideas too!

Welcome hero.

B- porridge with raspberries, cinnamon and yoghurt (hexa and hexb)
L- celeriac and root vegetable soup, oranges, Apple
D- low fat sausages and vegetable risotto

Syns- 2 sugar, 2 milk 4 sausages and planning 6 for hi fi bars. More than I'd like but as am proud of bringing hi fis with me Christmas shopping instead of being tempted by cafe Nero mince pies!!

Buttwing · 10/12/2015 15:39

Hi all welcome to the new peopleSmile

Wow knowler that's an amazing loss what a great way to be heading into Xmas!

I lost half last night which I'm ok with, I've decided that as long as I'm not putting on ridiculous amounts I'm ok with a small gain/maintain over the next few weeks. I've had a bad morning this morning (playgroup Xmas party) but I'm going to have a good afternoon and sp tom. I set my target last nigh I've always been abit funny about setting it before as I wanted to lose five stone and it just seemed so far away, I'm now 1 stone 5lbs away from it eeeek!! I've got a black tie event at the end of jan which we go to every year and I've always either been pregnant or fat from just having a baby. I don't think I will be at target but would like to be as close as I can. May even have to buy a new dressGrin

KittyOShea · 10/12/2015 15:44

Wow that's fantastic butt wing. What an achievement!!

knowler · 10/12/2015 15:46

Excellent, buttwing! Very inspirational :)

BendydickCuminsnatch · 10/12/2015 15:52

Hello, may I timidly join? On page 23 of thread 3 haha, bit late to the party Blush

I started slimming world 3 weeks ago. Have lost 6.5lbs so far and have felt myself slipping already! So need some motivation. I have a weaning baby so there's lots of stray breadsticks etc in my vicinity Grin.

I started at 15 stone 1lb and 6 months post partum, when in my head I was about 13 stone and that was horrifying enough! I have never been under 13 stone or smaller than a size 16 bottoms, never been in 'overeight' bmi, let alone 'healthy' (always 'obese'), even on my wedding day when I honestly feel I was slim! My goal is 11 stone, because that will put me in my healthy range, but I am taking that with a pinch of salt as I honestly believe that would be too skinny for me. I am muscular as I exercise a lot (except not currently allowed because of postnatal physio) and take BMI with a pinch of salt. I definitely want to be a size 14 and be comfortable in jeans.

overitalready · 10/12/2015 16:56

Welcomes the newbies Flowers

That's super butt really well done.

FannyFanakapan · 10/12/2015 17:31

welcome newbies!

Bendy, you can do it - I started at a smidge under 17 stone, now looking at 12.5 and hopefully will continue to lose - want to get to a healthy BMI and a smaller dresss size - I started at size 20/22 and now a comfortable 16, Id like to be in a 12 one day.

overitalready · 10/12/2015 18:29

fanny thats amazing..well done Star

cowboylover · 10/12/2015 19:17

Just weighed in and lost 2.5lb

Really pleased, can't believe how few people are in class at this time of year, it's really not the same.

Tonight I'm going home to homemade burgers, SW chips, corn on the cobs Smile

FannyFanakapan · 10/12/2015 20:32

thank you overitalready.

I am very proud of myself and my skinny arse. I have a great class and there are 4 of us that compete/commiserate with eachother every week and that, plus this forum, have really made a difference. ALso, I have had a shockingly bad stressful year, and if I can get through this with weight loss, I really have no excuse for stress eating in the future!

I am really hoping for those 2 lb tomorrow, and then I can breath a little,, as we have christmas tree day (boozy), 2x birthdays, our 21st anniversary, and Christmas all coming up, so I think from this weekend, I wont be losing anything until the new year.

b: Toast with laughing cow (1) and cucumber, bacon.
sn: One TINY mince pie - 3?
l: CHicken noodle soup, muller
sn: two sponge finger biscuits (2)
D: Chicken noodle soup. oven chips(5), beans. persimmon.

KittyOShea · 10/12/2015 21:05

Congrats fanny and cowboy.

Went a little off plan and had half a wrap in Starbucks (ham hock, relish and kale)- no idea how many syns. But did just have the veggie risotto for dinner with no sausages so hoping that may make up for it.

Christmas wine delivery arrived and I was v good and put it all away. V boozy weekend with family starts tomorrow though...eek!

Pisghetti · 10/12/2015 23:23

How was it May?

I lost 2.5lbs tonight and got my 1.5 stone shiny! I'm 6lb from the goal I have in my head but not sure if it's the right one. I feel like I have more than 6lbs to lose.

Christmas parties start for me this week so I'll be happy to maintain for a couple of weeks. DP has an apartment in an old mansion and the house party on Saturday involves a different course in each apartment - canapés and cocktails, then starters, mains, dessert with wines and cheese with port. We're doing the cheese course - bought two enormous platters earlier. Maintaining might be ambitious! We have a night with friends tomorrow. I'm taking cheesecake brownies but I'm driving so no drinking and I'll have my trusty carrot batons.....

Today has been:
Advent calendar chocolate 2 Syns
B - not hungry
L - 2 x hifi bars (busy and still not hungry) HeB
D - quorn pieces and speed vegetables in SW tikka sauce, rice and SW chips
S - banana cream flavour jell-o with chopped banana. My favourite flavour so far - not as artificial tasting. HeA and 2 Syns

calzone · 10/12/2015 23:54

pisghetti.....what's the banana cream thing?

How was your new class Maygirl?

B.....fruit and yoghurt
L....Xmas dinner and mince pie
D....spicy chicken rice on spinach
HEB cereal with yoghurt and an apple

maygirl · 11/12/2015 00:09

Well done Pisghetti! Party sounds amazing! I think the new group will be better and the consultant's got me doing a food diary.
I'm out a lot this weekend, drinks tomorrow, dinner party Saturday and a dance show with food on Sunday. Well done on avoiding the wine tonight heyhey, I got back from gym and DH was already over halfway though a bottle from our Xmas supply, and I had some .... should have saved the syns for the weekend.

OrianaBanana · 11/12/2015 08:38

Well done everyone!

I was so peed off yesterday that I bought and ate a large sausage roll (wasn't even that nice), a boost bar, a blue riband and drank some wine. Blush

Drawing a line...

B - SW mini quiche, coffee with HExA milk
L - ham salad, muller light, Apple
D - SW burger in a bowl (yum!) with speed veg
S - trying to keep syns to a minimum today so mostly fruit

theregoesmyhero · 11/12/2015 08:51

So today could be tricky, got my works Christmas party tonight and this afternoon going to do a load of baking for dd1s birthday party on Sunday ... Need to try and resist trying a few to make sure they taste alright! Started with good intentions though:
B: m light and berries, hot s/free orange squash (sound manky but it's my tea alternative - I like to save my heA for cheese that way)
L: Tuna salad, Apple and banana
D: ? Probably with wine.

Buttwing · 11/12/2015 10:05

B-banana

L-soup

D-chicken wrapped in bacon with salad

Trying to repair the damage I probably did yesterday, had good intentions of having a sw dinner but ended up having a huge bacon, avocado and rocket sandwich on olive ciabatta. It was amazing but I dread to think had many syns were in it. I tried to convince myself the greenery made it okWink

I'm making butternut squash soup and a veg one too so I've got something ready to eat for when I reach for theChocolateChocolateChocolateChocolateChocolateChocolate

Pisghetti · 11/12/2015 11:10

Calzone the jell-o puddings are a bit like blancmange - you mix them with skimmed milk. You can get the chocolate ones from the imported section in Tesco where they sell Hershey's chocolate and lucky charms but I find those really artificial tasting. You can get the other flavours online (often from low carb sites as they're sugar free).

Sounds good May although it sounds like your food diary will make for interesting reading next week!!

Today is:
B - Scrambled eggs, quorn sausages and ham, cherry tomatoes and baked beans
S - 2 x hifi bars HeB
L - leftover SW quorn tikka with loads of veg and rice.
D - baked potato with cheese HeA and salad before we head out, crudités, free dips and a piece of cheesecake brownie (can I claim it as an additional HeA...?) at friends.

FannyFanakapan · 11/12/2015 13:18
