20 calories per syn so cake was 80 calories......

Calories are on the box.

Well done Annarose that's great!

I had graze boxes for a while but they weren't to my taste really. Some people love them though.

Pisghetti · 01/12/2015 22:55

I had Graze boxes for years but tended to eat all of them as soon as they landed. I'm quite greedy (it's no mystery why I need slimming world!)

calzone · 01/12/2015 23:06

I'm greedy too......just like that there is an end to them.....not a huge bag of crisps which I could easily eat in 10minutes.....

Work Christmas meal out last night so damage limitation sp day today.

B - Yeo yoghurt and honey (3 syns), satsuma, coffee with HExA milk throughout the day
L - smoked salmon salad lots of speed veg
D - SW ready meal after weigh in Blush with loads of speed
S - some fruit, caramel hifi (HExB1) no more syns

Meals are usually ok but my problem is always always going over syns sometimes by not much, other times by loads. I needed 1lb this week for my 1.5 stone award and I'm sure I've scuppered it. Sad

ZylaB · 02/12/2015 07:33

Ahh thanks calzone I've always found syns online so never worked them out from calories. I found some of the graze boxes on syns online, but not all of them so the 20 calories thing helps loads!
Have ordered a box, I like the idea of some variety to my syns instead of just curly wurlies ;)

calzone · 02/12/2015 07:37

Hope you like it Zyla! Drat! Should have sent you a voucher code!

Oriana......I try not to have any syns during the day......for me, 3 syns for honey is a lot as I could have a packet of pufts for that!

I eat free through the day and then stack up my syns for the evening.....Arla pot, 1, Pufts 3.5, curly wurly 6, 2 tangerines 0 but bulks out the syn allowance.

OP posts:
OrianaBanana · 02/12/2015 08:17

Agreed calzone, when I save up my syns for the evening it's so much easier. That will be my strategy for next week, thanks! Grin

knowler · 02/12/2015 11:11

Hi All, I've just joined SW (first meeting yesterday). Still getting to grips with it, especialy the HexA and HexB thing, but felt yesterday was fine. Ate a ton of free fruit and had a decent dinner in the evening. I like the idea of eating free during the day, so there's not so much pressure on syns in the evening when I cook for DP and DSs.

No idea what my first week loss is going to be. I've got 6 stone to lose (aargh!) but am prepared for the long haul.

Consultant didn't mention it but does anyone weigh themselves between groups? I'm not going to and have packed my scales away.

OrianaBanana · 02/12/2015 11:14

I hope you enjoy it knowler!

I don't weigh myself in between simply because it never bears any resemblance to my weight at group (and fluctuates wildly anyway). So it wouldn't really mean anything. I find it simpler (and more motivating) just to think of that one number on the scale.

knowler · 02/12/2015 11:22

As an extra motivator I did modelmydiet.com which is one of those sites where you put in your height, weight and give approx skin/hair colour etc and it shows what you look like now and what you'll look like at your target weight. Is quite interesting playing around with the different weights etc.

maygirl · 02/12/2015 17:30

overitalready · 02/12/2015 17:41

B - Toast with laughing cow light blue cheese spread, banana, Apple and coffee.

L - 2 boiled eggs and blueberries

D - chicken, chips, salad and corn on the cob

S - Choc biscuit x2

maygirl · 02/12/2015 18:16

My 5 yr old has eggy bread most mornings overit , I don't usually join her but it was yummy and kept hunger pangs away for most of the day!
Lots of raw veg with the cauli pizza, ham on top for P .
Good luck kitty

Heyheyheygoodbye · 02/12/2015 18:17

L - egg scrambled with veg on toast hexb, spread 1.5 syns, some chicken, apple, muller
D - more eggs! Having frittata stuffed with veg, and more veg on the side. Will have two mini meringues 2 syns.

cowboylover · 02/12/2015 19:52

I agree with others, find another group and see how you get on? I didn't get in well at all with one so I tried a different group and its much better for me. Our consultant gives you occasional messages but if you want more she will always reply and when I say I would like to hear from her if I know it's going to be a tough day she always will.

Weighed a day early today and maintained so I am really pleased with that after a really heavy night I am glad I got back on plan.

This week she has recommended I try some SP days as not done it before and I have 2 functions to go to, any advice?

Pisghetti · 02/12/2015 20:40

Today has been:
Advent calendar chocolate 2 Syns
B - wm roll HeB, slice cheddar HeA, quorn fillets
S - fruit salad, 30g cheese HeA, oatcakes 5 Syns, chocolate mini roll 5 Syns
L - swede and Linda M sausages
D - SW chips and SW Mayo (I'm just in that kind of mood...)

Definite lack of speed foods and poor planning meant I wasted 10 Syns on snacky things. I bought the oatcakes for the baby then realised she couldn't have them as they had honey in them and then I became a human dustbin instead of getting rid of them Sad the mini roll was eaten instead of a mince pie so not a total loss there I suppose.... Weigh in tomorrow and I'm not feeling optimistic.

Annarose2014 · 02/12/2015 21:11

knowler that website is interesting but also a bit depressing when I put in my current weight!

Mind you, it did definately reinforce that my target is 2 stone.

I bought a turnip this week - going to try the famous singing swede!

Buttwing · 02/12/2015 21:21

I weighed tonight and I had put a pound on. I'm ok with that as I didn't go last week and I've had a very up and down coup,e of weeks.
I've got a meal out tomorrow night and I'm going to Christmas markets on Friday will try and be good in between. I'm thinking damage limitation is the way forward at this time of yearGrin

KittyOShea · 02/12/2015 21:26

3 and 1/2 pounds off. Delighted Grin

If I get another 1 and a 1/2 next week I'll get my 3 stone award so really going to try to stick to plan this week.

imwithspud · 02/12/2015 21:37

Well done kitty!

I'm not doing great at the moment, 6mo dd2 isn't gaining weight well and I need to take her to see the gp next week. Although it's probably nothing it's really stressing me out, so I'm finding it difficult to stay focused at the moment. Not good for only my second week. I've just about stayed within my syns today but I've been lacking in speed foods. I'm still eating better than I was before I started SW though, and I feel a million times better physically since reducing my bread and sugar intake so that's something, but I'm not expecting much progress in the run up to Christmas, damage limitation is definitely the way forward! I also need to make some more soup.

calzone · 02/12/2015 23:41

Maintained this week which is fine. :)

Im not doing well these last 2 days - having to deal with some major shitstorm, and im afraid I dived into a pot of nutella, among other things. Even today, I have already been sugar bingeing. SIgh.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 03/12/2015 14:24

Struggling a bit the last two days. Haven't cracked, although had more syns than usual yesterday (still within 15) but we're going away this weekend and I'm afraid I will stuff myself. Going to be loads of treats and booze everywhere. Really want to stick with it until I break up for Christmas - 19 days to go! Will have to imagine Calzone shaking her stick at me Grin
