Sorry you feel poorly wombat Sad

Love all the sweet treat ideas, especially the brownies, yum yum!

I had a bad day Sad I had to go on a business trip today, and lunch was provided by the people I was visiting. There was nothing slimming world approved! I ended up having 4 triangles of sandwiches, and a clementine. I didn't know what to do?! It involved a 6 hour round trip in the car and I was driving so had to eat something. Also, i'd have caused offence if I had refused the food. Think i'll have to be extra specially good tomorrow. At this rate, weigh in on Thursday will not be a success.

CoconutAmericano · 25/11/2014 18:38

Sorry you're poorly wombat. Hopefully by tomorrow you're back to yourself again. That fit band is a fantastic idea. I'd love one! I used to wear a pedometer every day and it does make you want to get your steps in! Apparently it's 10,000 a day for good health, 12,009-15,000 for weight loss.

fruitloop do not beat yourself up over what was essentially one sandwich! Sure these catering sambos are usually filled very frugally anyway. It was a sandwich, don't even give it another thought. You were very restrained!

Well I am off out tonight with dh for dinner. I am letting my hair down. We don't go out very often together. I think I'll have prawns for starter which will be really low in syns, a fillet steak for main with baked potato and side salad, again, fairly low but will allow for garlic butter, and dessert will be shocking Shock. The chocolateyer the better, I don't care. That's the humour I'm in! Oh and there will be vino Blush. Ah tomorrow's another day lol. I'll be back on the wagon in the morning.

Anyone have anything nice for dinner?

CoconutAmericano · 25/11/2014 18:39

12000 not 12009 lol

fruitloopsandfruitshoots · 25/11/2014 18:49

Thanks coconut Grin

I'm gaving the salmon pilaf for dinner. Yum yum!

Enjoy your meal out, sounds deeeeeelicious! Especially the dessert, very jealous of that!

MisForMumNotMaid · 25/11/2014 19:28

DH has gone to the footy so the DC and I had apple and banana snack followed by actifry chips and sausages. Mine were very low fat from the market, the DC's less so.

Fruitloops. I've been starving then binge eating most of my life. The thing thats really working well for me on slimming world is eating regularly and for the majority of the time well. A year ago in your situation I would have declined sandwiches, effectively been rude, over congratulated myself on my slimming ways so stopped at KFC and ordered for two on the way home before snacking on crisps and chocolate because I'd eaten late I wouldn't need a proper meal but felt peckish. In the overall scheme of things four triangle sandwiches were the best choice.

fruitloopsandfruitshoots · 26/11/2014 15:55

Misfor, that's the kind of thing i'd do, i used to eat soup or salad for a week and then eat shit the following week because I was so hungry and bored of rabbit food! I think you're right, consistent healthy eating the majority of the time has got to be better. Well done us for getting on the straight and narrow Grin

I've done well so far today, let's hope I can keep it up!

Anyone got any nice dinners planned? I'm making a SW ham and cheese bake, will let you all know how it goes!

How was your meal out coconut?

MisForMumNotMaid · 26/11/2014 16:40

We're having pasta and sauce for tea. Its a passata, veg stock, onion, sweet pepper, mixed herbs and garlic sauce. I expect the kids will top it with lots of cheese.

I'm clearing clothes so have been taking photos of anything branded to stick on ebay this afternoon. I'm at that its looking messier before it gets tidier stage.

As a distraction from what i was ment to be doing i made another batch of meringues with a festive twist. Still very low syn.

my 22.3 stone mission! :)

oneowlgirl · 26/11/2014 19:21

You might surprise yourself wombat, so stay on plan.

I'm v happy today as after staying the same for 3 weeks, I've actually lost 3lb! Woohoo!

CoconutAmericano · 26/11/2014 19:52

Oh those christmas meringues look so pretty misfor. So so pretty!

Well today didn't go to plan Sad. I fell off the wagon with last night's dinner which was delicious and worth every syn lol but then today, well I decided to stay off the wagon, i completely ignored the wagon. I pretty much ate my way through the day Blush God only knows what the scales will say tomorrow Sad . First half of the week was great. Last two days atrocious!!

Good luck for all us weighers tomorrow. I will report back whatever the scales say. I am still feeling positive Grin

CoconutAmericano · 26/11/2014 19:54

Oh well done oneowl!! 3 lbs is bloody brilliant Flowers

MisForMumNotMaid · 26/11/2014 21:37

Oneowlgirl wow 3lb. Hope you're pleased with yourself.

Thats pretty much what happened to me two stagnant weeks, well one was a half pound on, then 3lb off last week. Weigh in again tomorrow and who knows what it'll bring.

Our group leader calls falling off the wagon the purple plan. The one where syns don't get counted and just one more thing doesn't matter because its all gone to pot anyway.

It always makes me smile when people in group say I did one day red, four green, and two purple. It takes the pressure of a bit at the discussing weight loss/ gain bit. We all know we're there because we've eaten too much of the wrong stuff historically. No point beating ourselves up about it or dwelling on whats passed.

Weigh ins regularly surprise me. My loss last week came after two stagnant ones and last week was the one where I had a purple night out. It doesn't all exactly follow on the scales. So I try to just go, not take it to much to heart and keep on plan as much as is practical whilst still remembering to live. 3st5.5lb down, 2st 6.5lbish to go.

fruitloopsandfruitshoots · 26/11/2014 22:14

Well done owl! 3lbs is fab!

Don't worry coconut, you may be surprised, it may all be fine!

I like the purple plan idea Grin

I'm not holding out much hope for tomorrow as i've had a couple of minor blips, and have got AF, so am predicting that i'm bound to be heavier. I'm hoping for a maintain, anything else will be a major bonus, and then hopefully next week i'll have a big loss?!

CoconutAmericano · 26/11/2014 22:50

Loving the purple plan Grin

oneowlgirl · 27/11/2014 00:38

Another loving the purple plan! I agree that staying on plan as much as you can is key - minimises whatever damage purple days cause & also help because you feel in control (& therefore get straight back on plan the following day)

All the best for those weighing tomorrow.

CoconutAmericano · 27/11/2014 07:51

Well i appear to have loat a pound. I say appear because my scales are old and inaccurate. I'm buying digital scales later today

MisForMumNotMaid · 27/11/2014 16:49

Half a pound off this week. Trying to listen to my own advise and not feel just a teeny bit disappointed. Thats 3st 6lb off 2st 6lb ish to go.

Slimming world chicken curry with wild garlic rice for tea. The house smells lovely.

Plans for the weekend are slightly scuppered by staying at group today. We're off to the Christmas markets. Eldest two have a rare day at their biological fathers, youngest is with grandparents but they're also on call to collect the eldest two if necessary. We (DH and I) thought we'd get the train and have a couple of mugs of mulled wine. Mulled wine it turns out is approx 30 Syns a mug!!! I was syning it as red wine and thinking it would take me just over syns so thinking of it as a flexi syn day. 60 Syns is a bit more than the 20ish I'd been thinking of though. Might just drive and enjoy the sights and smells for this one year.

Planning four more fullish weeks on plan till Christmas eve. I would like to loose 6lb to get me just into the 11 somethings and 2 st left to loose. Might now be looking a little optimistic but at least the scales are slowly going down so overall I've got to be happy with things.

dexter73 · 27/11/2014 17:05

I thought you must have been mistaken about the syns for mulled wine as it is so high, but you are right!! Shock 10 syns per 100ml of homemade mulled wine!

oneowlgirl · 27/11/2014 20:03

Half a pound is half a pound so well done! All going in the right direction!

Worryingwombat · 27/11/2014 20:07

Evening all
MIS, coconut and owl congrats on the losses ladies x

I was most surprised and a bit teary when I was awarded slimmer of the month!!!! :)

Very excited!!

I am.back on track this week my goal is 4 1/2 lb off!! To get my 1 1/2 stone award!!!

I then have another 3 weeks after that to shift 9lb!! Which will take me to my club 10 award!! Its a big goal but something to work for I would be happy to just start 2015 with a 10% loss!!! (2 stone 2lb in total!!)

Here I go!!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 27/11/2014 20:13

Oh I have just read you whole thread - wow you are doing great! Keep it up Wombat!

ChippingInAutumnLover · 27/11/2014 20:25

Well done Wombat :) I hope you are feeling a bit better now too! x

Mulled wine - it depends how it has been made, if it's just the wine, fruit and spices it's not too bad, but some people put in a TON of sugar. I choose to believe all the ones I buy when I'm out have NO sugar in them Grin

It's a fine balance between focusing on the goal & not spending your entire life off the wagon, but also about realising life is for living. I know several people on this thread have had major life changing events, me too, and sometimes you just have to focus on enjoying the moment, for me, one of those 'moments' is a mulled wine or a bailey's hot chocolate at a Christmas Market. I want to lose weight, but not at the cost of not living my life alongside that. Everyone needs to carve their own path though.

dexter73 · 27/11/2014 20:29

Well done Wombat, how fantastic! You are doing so well. I find it is really motivating to get the shiny stickers every now and again!
