Venice was amazing. Its very cold here in contrast. We sat out till 10pm in just light summer jackets. We had to eat regular icecreams to keep cool.

I haven't faced the scales yet. DH keeps saying think of all the body magic we did. We did walk and walk and talk and walk. We get so little adult time together it was really good.

My parents has the three DC. They're shattered. Unfortunately the slight spotty rash that DD had i thought was more excema/ psoriasis turned out to be chicken pox. So they've had DD home for both days we were away. She's been pretty happy though apparently and crashed out for the afternoons.

I didn't drink that much alcohol which surprised me. We had some fantastic pizzas and i had a mixed seafood spaghetti dish which was possibly the best pasta dish I've ever had.

We've brought home several large packs of amaretti biscuits. They're under a syn each and so tasty. They look good on my larder shelves and will be a slowly disappearing momento.

I made a big batch of leek and potato soup for lunch and a giant vegetable curry for tea with a side of tikka marinaded chicken and pea rice.

I plan another good day tomorrow before chocolate fest on Sunday. Then three full good days before facing the scales on Thursday.

Welcome to all those popping in. Good luck all with your weigh ins.

Worryingwombat · 07/04/2015 22:55

Glad you had a fab time mis!!

Well last weeks weight was a disappointment with a 1/2lb loss I only say disappointment as I was on plan and did my workouts but I guess sometimes that just how your body works!!

So I have dusted myself off and stuck with it all this week!!

Yesterday we went on a 8.7 mile bike ride with the kids and today we managed 9.2miles!!

We are lucky to live near the canal paths and the weather has been so nice the last 2 days!!

We have had a lovely time out and about with the boys!!

I am still going to my fitness classes but I have no ventured back in to the gym yet!!?!!Hmm Still feeling worried and scared after my seizure but I hope to get back on with it next week when the kids are back at school!!

Weigh in for me again on Thursday!! Come on the 4.5 stone award!!!!!!!

How is everyone else doing!! Where are u all!! GrinGrin Xx

1/2 off. You could knock me over with a feather. It sort of undermines all the effort. Have a fantastic few days away, chocolate at Easter and lose! The number of weeks i've worked really hard at things and had a maintain or slight gain. This last fourtnight i've been on plan 10 days out of fourteen but even so 1/2 lb off.

Now to try not being complacent.

Is that award in your hands now wombat?

Worryingwombat · 13/04/2015 22:23

Indeed it is mis!! 4 1/2 stone award was mine on Thursday with a 3.5lb lossGrinGrin

This week on weigh in day i see my Nero consultant! The one who 5months ago said I needed to lose weight but she could tell by my lifestyle I never would Hmm

I can not wait to go in there on Thursday afternoon and show her how much I have lost!! Wink

You're glowing. So much so if I knew you in real life I'd be saying do a test!

You deserve every bit of happiness Wombat and that genuine I'm pleased and proud of myself smile is so lovely and deserved.

Sod the bloomin consultant. There's nothing they can say that changes this is something you've achieved for yourself. Some people are just inconsiderate grumps, who have had a lack of adversity in life which leaves them emotionally unable to reach out to others.

I hope that Thursdays appointment brings you forwards with things though. Nothing more frustrating than being sent away for another x months wait and see.

Day at the theme park (Gullivers World) with my eldest two today. Trying to resist most of the junk but probably will have an ice cream.

Worryingwombat · 15/04/2015 08:19

Hi mis!! Thank you so much for your kind words!! A big thank you is owed to you too! As you have been my constant supporter on here since day one!! And I can not say thank you enough for the support and encouragement you give me!! Grin but don't vanish yet I still have a long way to go!! Lol

Gym this morning then Sh'Bam this afternoon! Legs are killing me and me and hubby went to a spin class ShockShockShockShock really enjoyed it as we have been cycling quite a bit over the kids holidays! But God my legs and ass hurt this morning!! ConfusedGrinSmile

Wow! You are such an inspiration! You've really inspired me to give SW a go. Thank you!

Skinnydecafflatte · 17/04/2015 13:31

Hello, I've been reading this thread since the start and have finally plucked up the courage to say 'Hello'. I started SW about 14 months ago and can honestly say its the best thing I have ever done (for myself!) I got to target in October having lost 3 stone (been overweight for about 15 years) and now trying to maintain. Been struggling since Christmas though.

You are a real inspiration WorryingWombat, My weigh in is also Thursday so I always check back to see how you are doing. My good friend started SW in Sep 2013, she has now lost over 7 stone and is a consultant herself, I am unbelievably proud of her and she looks fabulous. You remind me of her with your determination. Keep going, it is already really showing how well you have done and I really think you will get to your goal weight. Keep posting as you are helping and inspiring so many of us out there.

calzone · 19/04/2015 22:20

Keep going everyone!
Kids back to school this week so should be easier to keep to the plan!

ThanksThanksThanks

MisForMumNotMaid · 20/04/2015 15:56

Yeh, Calzone you're right. The sun is shinning, the kids were all out the house for a few hours, I've done a decent walk in the school run, the house is aired and less dirty than 24 hours ago. Order will be restored!

I've just munched through another bag of hoola hoop puffs - they're addictive. its going to be a pasta meal for tea but I don't know what sort of pasta sauce to invent yet. It may well end up being tomato and herb with meatballs for the kids and with chilli no meatballs for DH and I as he's home very late.

Wombat the support is very much mutual. The slimming world threads keep me going as much as group does - more so really now I don't get to group every week. I've been on mybodygallery looking at bodies of different shapes and sizes and do feel that I would rather be 130 - 140ish pounds rather than pushing 150. I just need to work out when its realistic to knuckle right back down again.

We had a good last week of the holidays and on my scales I'm about 2lb up on my set maintain weight so 9lb off the next target I could set and only 4 weigh ins till I go away. I think I'd be better off aiming for 5lb to get me to 3lb under target and stay within target whilst away then get back on with getting to the bottom of target after I return before going away again in the Summer. This is definitely the learning phase of things not slowly creeping back up.

calzone · 20/04/2015 23:14

Wombat.....am following you on IG. SmileSmile

Mis.....have you tried the carbonara on SW yet? Tis gorgeous. Served mine with crispy kale.

NotSkinnyYet · 21/04/2015 13:03

Wombat - you are such an inspirational person! I've not had a chance to read through all of the thread yet, but you're doing so very well.

I started my health kick last week, weighed myself and came in at 22 stone 2.5pound Blush I've weighed myself this morning and have come in at 21 stone 11.5 pounds, so a 5 pound loss. I'm joining Slimming World tonight and can only hope I can do as well as you have so far. I'll catch up with the whole thread and keep on following your journey. Well done Flowers

MisForMumNotMaid · 23/04/2015 11:38

'So how much is it you've lost in total now...you're still a target member. How are you finding life at target?'

In other words I'm 2.5lb up, 1lb off the upper end of my target, 5 lb off the bottom.

Its okay, I keep telling myself. I've indulged, I know where its all come from. I've enjoyed the almost daily wine, ice creams, three meals out in the last fortnight. Now I just need to get properly back on track and head for bottom of target before I go away end of May.

Calzone I did try the carbonara, or a variation of it. I loved it, the DC were less keen. It was slightly dry so I'll need to play around with quantities. Kale is one of those things i enjoy but somehow it doesn't make it into my shopping basket alongside my weekly veg.

I feel the need to dig out the cook books and look for a little meal inspiration.

Hope everyone else has good weeks.

Worryingwombat · 25/04/2015 22:10

Good evening all!!

Don't worry I am still aliveGrinGrin

It's been a busy and sad time as yesterday we went to my husbands grandads funeral it was a lovely service and very nice to meet some more of my hubby's family but still sad

So yesterday was a day off plan but back on track today!!

My current loss stands at 4 stone 13lb and I have struggled over the last month with small losses but I am trying not to let this get to me as any loss is good!!

Thursday's weigh in saw me lost 1.5lb and be almost at the 5 stone mark!! Not sure how yesterday's eating will affect this week but hope the time has come for that next award!!

Lovely to see new people on here!! Welcome and thank you for your support!!

Great to hear from you again calzone!! Send me a message on comment on my INSTA page so I know it's you!!! Lol GrinGrin xxx

Just wow. That is amazing. Well done.

Skinnydecafflatte · 01/05/2015 09:43

Fantastic, well done Wombat!

dexter73 · 01/05/2015 09:58

That is brilliant - well done!

MisForMumNotMaid · 01/05/2015 17:13

You've overtaken me! Congratulations. I know the effort it takes to get to 5 stone - beyond is unknown territory for me.

My head is back in the game finally and whilst I didn't weigh in the home scales are showing a slight drop, finally so I'm about 1lb above my target well within my target range again.

Its tough this relaxing a bit. its the 'a bit' thing.

I've dug my cook books out and we've had a lovely veg curry, big pasta arribiatta, burgers and fries and tonight more veg curry. I've decided to have no more icecreams till after next weigh in, they're becoming a little too frequent.

Tomorrow we're taking DD to her first ballet in Manchester on the train so should be fun but will inevitably involve lunch out - got to try not to undo too much in one meal.

Alcohol is definitely my biggest weakness not so much the counted alcohol syns but those that don't matter/ get counted because I'm relaxed because I've had a drink.

I'm having a bit of a nightmare opening this thread. I don't know if its a mumsnet safari issue, there are a few bugs at present, but I have to log onto a PC to open this thread. Is it just me or if theres a few of us having similar issues could it be time to start a new super slinky Wombat Mumsnets own slimming world star of 2015 thread?
