Hello Dorito. The exercise helps with the toning but its the eating that effects the weight loss (thats what they say in class, i'm a little on the fence on it). I find swimming makes me hungry but walking curbs my appetite.

Got to say my big fear is not being able to maintain the loss. I know I'll need to focus on what I eat for life, there is no end of plan just slightly more syns/ healthy extras when I reach a maintenance level.

Well done on your half stone. Reaching each target gives a bit of a boost to go onto the next. 2 weeks is fab. Do you have any personal targets like events that you're hoping to drop a dress size for?

anothernumberone · 12/02/2015 23:13

Mumnotmaid you are so right looking at the overall picture and that is an amazing loss.

dorito I am in the same boat with work I am only half an hour in the door todayConfused but I have started doing some short walks during the day in and before work just 2-3 km across the day but it all adds up.

I down 2.4lbs today and I am very happy with that. I have set MFP to a 1lb per week loss so anything over that id a complete bonus.

ChippingInGluggingOn · 12/02/2015 23:39

Hey you, where's my update?!

I'm still recovering from Tuesday nights party, sorry you missed it!

...unless it's the sort with jelly & ice cream, I barely remember what a party looks like Grin

hstar1995 · 14/02/2015 09:44

I've lost 3 and a half pounds this week! Got my half a stone award and am 8 and a half pounds lighter Grin only 5 pounds to my stone, hoping to reach that in 2 weeks

MisForMumNotMaid · 14/02/2015 19:05

hstar. They're not lost. I'm in the process of finding them. Each and every one of the 3.5lb. Today is DS's birthday. I had an asthma attack mid chocolate cake bake this morning so we ended up with KFC for party food lunch (family over). I'm now cementing the damage with a large wine and big bowl of crisps. The chocolate cake didn't suffer and went down a bit to well.

Tomorrow is another day and I haven't had a blow out for a while.

Wombat hoping all is well with you and you're out busily enjoying roller discos and half term fun and not struck down by one of the holiday ills doing the rounds. What ever has gone on at weigh in, you don't have to confess. Just carry on from when you're ready. We need you, you're the big thread inspiration.

hstar1995 · 14/02/2015 23:18

Aww mumnotmaid we all have days like that so don't stress, besides you've slipped on 2 meals? so what, that's only 2 meals out of 21 a week Smile I'm sure you'll lose the weight. You pepped talked me last week so I'll do the same for you, its bloody hard losing weight and like my consultant said today, its winning the war that matters not winning every battle along the way Smile.

Worryingwombat · 14/02/2015 23:30

Brilliant :)

You are doing amazingly well!

I hope you have a great half term!

hstar1995 · 15/02/2015 09:23

Well done Grin

MisForMumNotMaid · 15/02/2015 18:44

fab news. Glad you're still full of energy. I think I signed up to instagram a while ago. Goodness knows what as. I might see if I can work it out, if i get a quiet minute with the DC and DH all home all week.

hstar. You are of course right. I just want to win every battle too.

Today i've been surprisingly unhungry. I'm back on plan which is good. I always worry that a blip will signify a sudden downfall and then things will just keep creeping up.

KinkyDorito · 15/02/2015 18:48

Well done with the loss!

I managed a rubbish 1lb - that's two weeks in a row when I haven't lost much. I've followed the plan 100% though, so hoping I will see better results soon. I'm used to losing quite quickly at the start. I did 6lbs in the first week, then 1, then 1, so bit fed up. Keeping on though, bought 12 week countdown on Saturday.

KinkyDorito · 15/02/2015 18:49

Mis no personal targets really. I am going on holiday, so just would like to have lost some but I am trying not to get too hung up on doing it by a certain date as I usually end up sabotaging myself. It's more just accepting a long-term lifestyle change.

Worryingwombat · 15/02/2015 22:56

A pound off is still a pound! I was like this a few weeks ago

And chipping I think it was sent me pics of a pound of fat!! Google it!! You will be shocked at what it looks like and how much a pound really is!!

Chuffingelves01 · 16/02/2015 15:36

Please may I join the thread. I started again today. I'm doing it from home. I still have all of my books from last year so I am following the extra easy plan.

trinitybleu · 16/02/2015 18:23

I'm in from today. Am too heavy for the Wii to give me a starting weight, so my first goal is to get a starting weight!

Br - chicken breast, salad, coleslaw
D - roast veg sauce and pasta, parmesan

Resisted snacks at the cinema! Smile

MisForMumNotMaid · 16/02/2015 18:23

Hello Elves.

So who's remembered to stick over night oats in the fridge ready for pancakes tomorrow?

I think i'm going to do vanilla muller ones (vanilla muller, 35g oats to soak then whisk in an egg in the am). They'll have to be served with sweetner and lemon being pancake day and all.

trinitybleu · 16/02/2015 18:24

Wombat - looking for you on IG ... there's one with a _ and one without. Which is you?

MisForMumNotMaid · 16/02/2015 18:27

Hello trinity. What about taking some measurements like under and over bust, waist, hips at widest, upper thigh at widest and upper arm at widest.

If you haven't got a tape measure a bit of string/ rope with pen marks on different colours for the different measurements would do. It'll help you see progress.

anothernumberone · 16/02/2015 18:29

That sounds nice misformum I have to do regular pancakes for the kids or I will be hung out to dry but I want to try yours too.

trinitybleu · 16/02/2015 18:33

good idea mis

MisForMumNotMaid · 16/02/2015 19:05

Mine have regular pancakes too (both scotch and crepe style). With honey, chocolate duo spread, sugar and lemon, icecream, sultanas, choc drops, cake sprinkles.

See this is where I go so wrong. We celebrate everything food related and go to town. I just like my food and like any excuse to celebrate.

Worryingwombat · 17/02/2015 23:32

Evening all!

On IG I am emmab2001 and the profile pic is a Little Moomin sat in a pink cloud! For those that asked and pm'ed me!Grin

Good day today bought the kids pancakes but stayed on plan myself!

Decided to shake up my breakfast options a bit getting sick of weetabix all the time!! So tomorrow I am having scrambled eggSmile

B weetabix
L leet and potato soup for a change
T frittata and salad my favourite and enough ingredients left over that I will properly make it again tomorrow!!

Praying for 2 1/2 off on thus but not feeling it this week! Think I might be in the 1 lb off club again! Which is better than nothing!!!

Weigh in day!!!

Had one of the new Sw ready meals for lunch, have to say a bit disappointed I tried the chicken tikka one and it was a nice flavour just a bit watery??

Anyhow have been hearing via Facebook that most icelands have sold out they were that popular!! Xx

Arrgghhhhh dreading it!! Hmm

On the plus side we get to find out who killed Lucy in eastenders tonight!! Grin

OP posts:
MisForMumNotMaid · 19/02/2015 20:05

I realise that Lucy was a character from Eastenders but have no idea who, i feel i'm missing this big important thing but somehow I can't quite bring myself to tune in. I might get hooked and loose yet more hours that I haven't got to spare. Grin

Today i lost 1lb. I'm delighted. After Saturdays blow out i thought i'd gain but i guess i had some in hand from last weeks slightly odd maintain. 4st 6lb down so hopefully next week will be a certificate one and I'll get my 4.5 stone award.

I think i have yet another target in mind. I want to lose 8lb which will take me to 24.something BMI and my 5st certificate. We go to Venice for April fools (hmm not sure about that now i read it back) so i think i've got five weigh ins and would love to hit target before i go, then review it in a few months if i'm still happy to stick. Plus do some toning up.

I've heard positive things about the iceland meals but ours have apparently sold out. I wanted some syn free sausages but camping out for them is more effort than the desire for slightly overpriced sausages.

I hope everyone else is equally happy with their weigh ins and seeing mini targets in view.

I'm watching EastFrigginEnders. What is the world coming too!
