So how was the roller disco?

I used to go to one on a Saturday night as a teen. Oh the fun of skating round and round in circles.

ChippingInLatteLover · 17/01/2015 20:20

Wombat you are simply not helping yourself. Any more talk of tickers and that will be that. Right?!

Fortunately you have a good track record up until now, so you are forgiven this time but we are watching...

GlitterandSequins · 17/01/2015 22:08

If anyone is trying out the SP plan and wants an alternative to rice I have just made a chilli and had the cauliflower rice with it and it was bloody gorgeous! I think I may actually prefer it to real rice! Grin

MisForMumNotMaid · 17/01/2015 22:11

Did you just grate raw cauliflower or do you cook then grate?

GlitterandSequins · 17/01/2015 22:27

I put the raw cauliflower in my food processor but grating it would be fine and then put it in the microwave, in a bowl covered up, for about 5 minutes (don't add water or it turns to mush!), even my other half enjoyed it! Smile

oneowlgirl · 17/01/2015 22:30

Oohh - sounds interesting Glitter, will have to try it! Thanks Smile

Worryingwombat · 17/01/2015 22:52

Oh god the roller skating was so much fun!! Bloody funny with the kids!! I am fricking bruised!!!!

But will be going again next week!!

Came home and finished my nephews birthday cake!

And made my favourite chilli and salad for tea Grin

I really liked the cauliflower rice! It does not taste of cauliflower! More of a nutty taste I found!!

Hello all, is there room for another not so little one?
I've been following your thread for a few days now and wanted to say well done to everyone, and especially to you Wombat for inspiring me to join the thread!
I've been with SW for a week and a half now, but for some stupid reason didn't get weighed in the first week. It was all a bit chaotic. But I did stick to the plan and got weighed last week. 12 stone 9, which tbh was less than I was expecting at 5'3 and size 16/18.
I've been trying to adapt our usual favourite meals to SW equivalents so it's not such a big change to our diet, especially for DH. I'm enjoying being in the kitchen again actually and quite like not feeling so heavy in my stomach after eating a meal.
I made a big bowl of butternut squash soup to have my super food before a spaggy bol yesterday, and ended up leaving most of the spaggy bol because I was full!
And tomorrow, planning a SW roast chicken. Planning ahead is key!

Worryingwombat · 17/01/2015 23:37

Welcome nicecupa! Hope you enjoy joining in with us on here!!

Good luck for your 1 weigh in (or second one!!)

Wow, wombat those pics are great, you can definitely tell, well done! That's a great idea to take pics along the way as motivation Smile

I am also a cauliflower rice convert, I love it. I do mine in the microwave for 2 mins uncovered. It's amazing.

I have just eaten 3 boiled eggs for breakfast....3! Lucky it's just me and DS in the house today!

calzone · 18/01/2015 18:42

Oh, I love cauliflower rice.

GlitterandSequins · 18/01/2015 21:59

Feeling nervous about tomorrow's weigh in Confused have stuck to plan mostly but been for 2 meals out where I couldn't resist having a treat!

calzone · 18/01/2015 22:45

Glitter....you still have to live and if you enjoyed it, then great!

Back on plan tomorrow. Good luck! SmileSmileSmile

Worryingwombat · 18/01/2015 23:06

Thank you for the warm welcome Wombat Grin and especially for being good at a party, well done!
Had a delicious SW roast chicken this evening.

Just wondering though, if anyone else is struggling with having enough Super foods on their plate? I cooked a whole bag of greens but it wilted down to less than 1/4 of the plate!

fruitloopsandfruitshoots · 18/01/2015 23:41

Well done Wombat! I bet you feel very pleased that you stayed on plan Smile

I was mostly good today, but couldn't resist a rather thick slice of malt loaf...whoops! I had turkey salad for dinner though, so that was super healthy.
To be fair, I haven't checked the syns, but I can't imagine it amounts to 15?

Tea- I know what you mean! I feel like I spend a fortune lately on vegetables!

NiceCupOfTeaAndALittleSitDown · 18/01/2015 23:50

Yep, agree with you Fruitloops, a fortune on fruit and veg.

But then I thought about how much I usually spend on take away Blush

fruitloopsandfruitshoots · 19/01/2015 00:00

Haha, yes I hadn't thought about the take away saving! Having said that, DH is still having take aways- git! Why is it so easy for men to stay the right weight? So unfair!

CoconutAmericano · 19/01/2015 13:05

Im still here! Grin. Omg wombat you have come so far! I can see a huge difference, especially your arms. Well done!
I have lost 5lbs since Christmas and am half a stone off my goal weight. I am feeling so motivated. Really have upped my veg and water intake and have done two power walks already this week. I plan to power walk at least 3 times a week, an hour at a time. It's good for my toddler too, gets her into the fresh air and we have great chats!
Welcome nicecupoftea. That was my starting weight originally when i joined sw. I am now 10 stone 10 with 7 lbs to go. If i can do it anyone can!

Linzdreamz · 19/01/2015 14:50

Thank you for the warm welcome! I have weighed myself today, 9st 12lbs.
Br: baked beans, fried egg, 1 of 400gm wholemeal bread(Heb), 125 mls of milk on coffee( hea)
L : Rice and chicken curry(9syns for the whole pan), shape zerp percentage fat pineapple and coconut yogurt. Orange
D: planning chicken tikka with loads of shredded carrot and lettuce, with rice
Fruit bowl with a two table spoon custard( says 5 syn for 100gm)

Struggling to fill 1/3 with veg!
Could someone please check wthr shape 0% fat yogurt is FREE On EE. It is soo sweet and has got bits of fruits in it! Too good to be Syn free :p

Best thing is I bullied my hubby int doing this, not really strictly following the syns, but atleast I dont have to cook him extra meals! But he may stop after two week's shopping billGrin

Linzdreamz · 19/01/2015 14:55

Forgot to tell you that, May not seem to have much weight to reduce, but have a full pregnant belly and arms of an elephant!! I am getting fatter day by day, even when I dont eat much choc or biscuits Shock.everyone says that!! My goal is 8st. And really want to go back to my pre preg wait, which was almost seven yrs before ??
