Hello. I've been thinking of trying SW again. I tried it years ago. I have been looking at the website and this information is really helpful. Thank you. I'm going to start on the 6th when I go back to work. I really need to lose at least five stone.

GlitterandSequins · 28/12/2014 22:32

I have to admit that mushy pea curry is a firm favourite of mine, although I do usually add a few extras (chicken/prawns etc) Not sure if it's counts as a tweak or not but makes it extra yummy!

oneowlgirl · 28/12/2014 23:48

Really - baked beans & mushy peas?? I'll most definitely have to try it.

Worryingwombat · 29/12/2014 10:00

Oneowl- really!!! Mushy peas and baked beans Grin

Looks so strange but tastes think a thick veg curry I love it Grin it is so easy to make too

Well weigh in day tomorrow for me Hmm just praying for at least a maintain!! I did enjoy Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and ate crap!!! So with tomorrow I would be 4 days back on plan and would be really really happy just to weigh the same as last week!! Smile

Next goal for me is to lose 4lb which will take me to my club 10 award (losing 10% of your body weight) I have my next hospital appointment on the 7th January and I would love to have that by then showing such an achievement to my consultant!!!

So roll on tomorrow and the new packs for the new plan!Grin

I will try it Wombat Smile

You're so good at being on plan - I've been so off plan that it's off the scale! I'm very worried about going back to group, but will face it next week when I've decided to get things under control (although right now I'm still off work & enjoying the alcohol & chocolate too much to stop before the New Year!)

Worryingwombat · 29/12/2014 10:45

Lol oneowl!! I would love to be off plan or on the purple plan as many say but with soooooo much weight to shift I have no choice!! GrinWink

Really need to make a big dent in this weight I have a medical issue (have discussed it in this thread) and they want me to have an operation possibly in April maybe sooner and every lb off is a bonus to me Grin

You'll do fab when you return to group!!also a great deal off support on here too!

Thanks Wombat Smile

MisForMumNotMaid · 29/12/2014 14:42

Good luck tomorrow Wombat. I'm oddly looking forwards to drawing a line under my few days off. Until the weight I am is registered, I feel I can't be loosing again. Theres logic there somewhere.

Really hoping my vast collection of slimming world books aren't now obsolete by the new plan.

I can't access your link. I'm on an IPad. Any chance you could relink with brackets?

Thanks wombat for posting these. Not sure about that superspeed soup but i can highly recommend the mushy pea curry, it is honestly delicious Smile.

I am seriously thinking of joining a proper group in the new year. I am so off plan i am ashamed of myself!! Going away mid feb so need to be a stone lighter, and i am messin about here doing it myself!! Back and forth constantly.. The only thing putting me off is the queues..

MrsPepperMintonCandyCane · 29/12/2014 22:18

I can say super speed soup is delicious. I add curry powder sometimes. It freeze really well too.

CoconutAmericano · 29/12/2014 22:22

Ok mrspepper i think i'll give it a go thanks

MisForMumNotMaid · 29/12/2014 23:13

Its got to be worth going to group at least once in January to get the new pack. As previously posted its free to join with women magazine, but i don't know if you'd have to pay that as an online member anyway.

I'm hovering just above 12 stone now (i had to stop and think for a while where it is) I'd dearly love to be just under 10 stone by May. Which should be achievable but I fear things are going somewhat slower now. I don't want to loose faith due to overpressurising myself. This time last year it was just over 16 stone and I had no confident plans to change.

I'm never going to be a gym bunny and I do walk (a lot), but fear I'm going to need to do some sort of toning excercises to help wih my tummy. Three c-sections, multiple pregnancies and years of being overweight mean that my middle section in no way resembles the sort of shape I'd like it to. Maybe its something to think about once I'm established into the new plan.

I like the speed soup. I've got to confess to never having properly stuck to the recipe though. I'm a bit of a creative cook (i've never got all the right ingredients in) so I tend to improvise and modify to my taste.

Worryingwombat · 29/12/2014 23:24

Me to mis! I just chuck what I have in veg wise add some passata and some beans bit of curry or chilli powder and blend the lot!! GrinGrin

Info on the new SP PLAN is on the slimming world website it's all very high protein low carb

Extra easy plan is here to say but bye bye to green and red plans

No potatoes
No pasta
No rice
No yoghurt!!

Nightmare!! Will have to re think dishes! They recommend 1 week on SP To start like a kick start or to get those stubben lbs off

Then choose what you want to do stick with one or mix it up a few days on each

Will know mate tomorrow when I get my hands on the new pack!!

OP posts:
oneowlgirl · 29/12/2014 23:27

I thought you could still have potatoes & pasta etc but had to concentrate on speed foods??

MisForMumNotMaid · 29/12/2014 23:34

Oh now that wasn't there earlier today.

So no pasta, potato, rice but beans and pulses are okay.

One healthy A and 2 Healthy B's a day.

Half a plate of veg/ old speed food!

MisForMumNotMaid · 29/12/2014 23:38

The seven day meal plan has no pasta/ rice/ potato.

I wonder if you then have to syn it? I like my slimming world chips.

oneowlgirl · 29/12/2014 23:42

Is that just to get you started? I'd heard it was like that when doing what was previously 'success express' but otherwise thought the free foods were still free, but the focus was on speed foods??

V confused - hopefully it'll all become clear when I go back up group next week!
