Wannabe I'd say you should try and eat more super free foods if u can but sounds not too bad I'd measure the sweets and milk if u can so u can get a more accurate syn value

pinkoneblueone · 11/11/2013 21:03

Oops posted too soon been nominated for miss slinky this week though will be very late to group this week as I'm working a 10-6 this week and it takes me about 35-40mind to cycle home from work. I'm 5stone 3 and 1/2lb down thanks to joining Sw in jan I've slowed my loss deliberately as I was getting a lot off loose skin on my tummy as I'd lost so much so quickly so I'm now doin sit ups to try and fix this problem I hope it works

Have found another group to go to weigh in this week, I wanted to get there as I am near my stone award. Fingers crossed. In awe of you Pink, well done. Hard to know what to do about the folds, I do Pilates and yoga.

WannaBeMarryPoppins · 12/11/2013 11:43

Thank you guys. I will try and eat even more super free food then, I thought I was doing ok with that. Today I have remembered my cucumber so had a huge serving for breakfast with my ryvita. Already waiting for lunch though, it didn't fill me up as long as I hoped it would.

Measured my milk today and have ignored the sweets on the table (so far...)

Well done pink, great success!

pinkoneblueone · 12/11/2013 12:54

Thank you :) I think it's important to also remember why counts as a portion of fruit or veg too so having cucumber twice still only will count as one fruit/veg.
Today so far I've had 35g of porridge made up with 200ml semi skimmed milk and a handful of frozen blackberries and frozen raspberries on top (he a +b). 2 bananas (was really hungry) handful of grapes so far. I've just had a massive bowl of curried carrot and parsnip soup and not sure what I'm having for tea yet as I've lots of meat to use up so my day off will be spent cooking lol I will have a choc sprinkles muller light and a pear or plum or apple or all of those Later if I'm really hungry I'm full for now and my syns will be used for a few 2 syn hot chocs at bed time

pinkoneblueone · 12/11/2013 12:56

Well done for avoiding sweets wannabe that's not an easy task I actually picked up choc cookies in asda and put them back then walked down the sweetie isle and came out with no sweets it was not easy but I know on. Wednesday I'd kick myself for giving in

Steffanoid · 12/11/2013 13:18

Helpbeenstupid · 12/11/2013 13:29

I maintained this week. I'm going to give it a while longer. Not sure if its the right plan for me. I'm sticking to it but weight loss is sooo slow.

I didn't buy any hi fi bars today so not sure what ill use my hex b on

muminthecity · 12/11/2013 22:36

Only lost 1lb this week. Bit disappointed, was hoping for more. Still, a loss is a loss I suppose!

Fairygen · 13/11/2013 11:06

Dreading wi this week, I'll have a gain, I'm sure!!

Really lost my motivation..again! Luckily I have a very rare 4 days off work in a row, including the weekend. I'm hoping that being at home will give me the opportunity to get focused. I'm so close to my 2 stone award so need to get my bum in gear!!

AntiJamDidi · 13/11/2013 17:46

I will have gained as well this week. I've had a really stressful and upsetting few days at work. I'm not even allowed to talk about what's happened because it's all confidential. So I've eaten chocolate. I could kick myself but I really don't have any other coping strategies for when I'm stressedSmile

Darkesteyes · 13/11/2013 18:07

I have now lost a stone (not got my stone award as i lost the first 3 and a half pounds by myself before i joined SW)
Its taken me since August to achieive this though AND its with an hours excersise 6 days a week (it was 7 days a week but when i wash the underwired bra i use for this it now takes longer to dry as its winter..cant squeeze it dry without breaking or bending the wire and cant dry it directly on the radiator as it will warp the wire) still cant find or afford a sports bra so high impact excersise is out. Cant eat a lot of the superfree/ speed food as it gives me colic so my weight loss is slow and steady. I have lost off my stomach hips thighs and back ....I am now fastening this bra on the third hook in and this bra is a 36 back size. 3 months ago i was a 38K so god knows what size i am now Have lost NOTHING off my cup size or arse but the amount thats come off elsewhere seems more than a stones worth to me Confused

Fairygen · 13/11/2013 18:52

darkest, I think sometimes it doesn't show on the sales but you can feel it in your clothes. I bet all that exercise is toning you up, making you tinner. It's always the weeks I feel less bloated that sts or put on, which is really strange!!!

A member of our group said last week that people have started to notice that she's lost weight and this has somehow made her struggle to stick to it. I feel exactly the same!! I don't know how, but as people have started to comment about my weight, my willpower has all but disappeared! Our consultant said that was quite common, because you start to feel good about yourself, the desperation to lose weight isn't so strong.

pinkoneblueone · 13/11/2013 22:25

Missed out on mrs slinky cos I didn't get to group till the very end as i was working and gained a lb this week 1st time I've ever gained on a star week but hay ho! Life goes on

AntiJamDidi · 13/11/2013 23:29

Fairy I'm feeling the same about losing motivation now people are starting to notice. And I've gone down a clothes size, so I'm feeling rather better about myself.

Darkest Toning takes inches off quicker than lbs I think. I've gone down a back size in my bras too but haven't lost anything from the cup. So I've gone from a 38G to a 36H, it's harder to find a 36H, so I really want to lose some from the cup as well now. I'm not sure you can target specific parts of your body to lose from though, maybe I need to be patient (or I will end up looking completely out of proportion)

We visited mil at the weekend and the first thing she said to me was "you've lost weight!" in an accusing tone of voice. It was quite strange as normally people congratulate me on losing weight but I felt like I had to explain that it was about my health rather than how I look. There's nothing wrong with looks being the motivation to lose weight but somehow it seemed more acceptable to mil that I need to lose weight for my health.

Darkesteyes · 13/11/2013 23:36

Fairy ive had comments from some of our local cab drivers including one who came right out and said "Blimey youve lost a lot of weight" It makes me determined to carry on and ive stuck to it rigidly My last takeaway was on the 8th of August.
Funny you should mention desire as its desire at the root of this. TMI alert Im in a sexless marriage and have been since "96 apart from an affair i had after i lost 10 stone at SW the first time. DH once said i could do what i liked but to be discreet about it.
So the desire and hope of actually having some affection in my life outweighs the desire for chocolate.

Darkesteyes · 13/11/2013 23:43

Anti when i lost ten stone i lost just ONE cup size Some of us are meant to be booby I was told by a bra fitter that when you lose a back size you go up a cup size so i could be a 36/34 L

Wish my mum had the same attitude as your MIL My mum bases everything on looks.

Darkesteyes · 13/11/2013 23:44

Congrats on yr losses everyone and we are all making a huge effort and doing the best we can We cant do any more Thanks

AntiJamDidi · 14/11/2013 00:01

I think for mil it's mainly about losing me from "her side" ie eat what we want and don't worry about being fat. The rest of her family eat what they want and are very slim, so she liked having another fatty around (she's the same clothes size as I was but also 6 inches shorter than me)

My mum is doing sw as well. She's always been overweight as long as I can remember, but she joined sw last year, she's lost 2 stone and is still fairly overweight but she's made a huge difference to the amount of medication she's on for various ailments.

Darkesteyes · 14/11/2013 00:28

Have a friend a bit like yr MIL Last Xmas we had a meal in Weatherspoons and she kept on and ON AND ON at me to have a dessert I had this chooccie cake thing in a hot fudge choc sauce and later found out it was 975 calories
NOT THIS YEAR i will be putting my foot down IF there is a dinner at spoonies this xmas1

im gutted, have just learnt that my free ice cream of yoghurt blended with frozen fruit is not so free! knew it was too good to be true!Envy

Fairygen · 14/11/2013 20:36

darkest xx

steffanoid I make it and don't syn it ( although I don't eat massive amounts of it) I always think a few blended fruits must be a million times better than sitting down to a bowl of Ben and jerrys!!

Managed to lose 1lb this week, so only 1.5 lbs to get my 2 stone award...at last! I have my usual Thursday night motivation, which seems to fade by about Friday lunch time!!! Must try harder.......

Darkesteyes · 14/11/2013 21:30

Thankyou Thanks Well done to you all. Fairy thats great xx
