Hellooo I am a long term Slimming Worlder (on and off).

So I am 1 1/2 weeks into rejoining and getting a grip once again. Weigh in is a Tuesday for me and last week I lost 4.5lbs. I want to loose about 2 and a half stone in total.

Have also started jogging (first timer) and am back at the gym. I am being impatient and just want to shift this weight but realise it wont happen over night.

BadRoly · 29/04/2013 13:25

Afternoon Smile I'm back and almost on plan again! Almost meaning I'm writing down my syns but not keeping them down Blush. Anyone got any idea how many syns a Sainsburys cafe healthy eating lemon and poppyseed muffin is?!

April is almost over though and I have just about clear the house of the crap food that has sneaked in one way or another. I suspect I will be about 7lb up from where I was at the end of March but I should be able to shake that by the end of May if I try hard again Smile just need to break all those bad habits all over again Sad

Yidhra · 29/04/2013 15:01

Hi, another new thread member here.

I lost 1 1/2 stone on SW in 2011 (about half of target) but stopped going as DH started working later so had no childcare. Had second baby since and am back to prepreg weight (ish) but was overweight then, was losing ok with breastfeeding but then had to do an elimination diet for a few months due to DS2s reflux and ate too many hobnobs as was starving and have put a few pounds back on.

Am currently 10st 61/2 lb (as of Friday am when I restarted) and am aiming for 9st ish. Was too thin at just under 8 when I met DH 13years ago and was too fat at just over 10 so picked the middle and will see when I get close if it's right! Am vegetarian and breastfeeding my 4 1/2 month old so can have up to 8 healthy extras (!) but am aiming for 3 of each on average. So my food diary will look odd, am also following 2011 plan until I can get to a group and update but sadly childcare is even harder now, especially as all local groups around dinner/bedtime.

Have spent a day or so reading this thread and the previous one (feeding at 3am in dark gets boring!) and am feeling really positive and geered up for it so thanks everyone. Grin

So today is/will be:
B: Weetabix (heb), fruit and ff yoghurt
L: Uncle Bens golden veg rice (1s), tomato, cucumber and red pepper and grated cheese (hea), 7 Pringles (3.5s)
D: Veg stirfry with fresh noodles (1.5s), falafel or quorn balls and sweet chilli sauce (2s)
Snacks: Fruit, 2 alpen light (heb), ryvitas and cream cheese (hea & b), tea (hea for milk), 4 mikado (2s), more fruit, ff yoghurt
3-4l of water, sugar free squash and flavoured water

That seems like a ridiculous amount of food and the third a & b I'm just eating cos I feel I should, not cos I want too. Sorry for essay and background, was more to get it all straight in my head!

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 29/04/2013 18:08

badroly 18 syns Shock just looked it up for you

Daisybell1 · 29/04/2013 18:45

Thanks all. The health issues aren't life threatening but are upsetting (recurrent miscarriages) and it's all too easy to temper the bad news with wine, pate and brie.

I faced the scales yesterday and it was horrific. But I'm glad I did it as I now have some momentum.

I met up with a friend earlier and chose a wrap sandwich I had NO idea wraps were so high in syns Sad

3girls1madboy · 29/04/2013 19:04

The syns is wraps are horrendous, I was distraught Smile WI today and I'm other 3lb down....1 and a bit stone to go to target.

Daisybell1 · 29/04/2013 19:17

I'm gutted, I could have had a glass of wine for that!!!!

And now of course I don't know whether to have my Hex A or not...

laughalot · 29/04/2013 20:45

Hi everyone welcome to all the newbies. I seem to have been awol for ages so busy with football. I am still 1 lb away from losing 2 stone I seem stuck at the minute. Stayed the same last week think I need to shock my body into something new to kickstart the weight loss. 10 weeks until we go away so just a teeny weeny bit more would be great.

Hope everyone is well keep going xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2013 20:47

18 for a healthy muffin Shock oh roly

Jinty64 · 29/04/2013 22:06

Well 1lb lost! I am soooo disappointed. I was so good all week and I know the weekend was not so good but still. To be fair I have been signed off all week with a virus so have done absolutely no exercise. I will need to get going.

Anyway, onward and upward (or should that be downward). Next week will be better.

androbbob · 29/04/2013 22:13

Another maintain here - not too bothered in one way but pissed off with myself in another way. Got 4 more WI until my holidays so really knuckling down this week. Need to stop the evening snacking as I am ruining my potential losses.

Hello to all the new ones - pitch in and feel free to offer advice and ask for help as much as you can.

Curlywurlysareyum · 29/04/2013 22:16

Welcome to everyone who has joined this thread. I find it really helps me keep on track.

Can't believe 18 syns badroly!! That's crazy.

I have WI tomorrow night. Not sure how I've done. Have been good all week but only had one walk. Week before had walked lots.

Will post how I do tomorrow night. Would be happy just to sts.

Curlywurlysareyum · 29/04/2013 22:17

Well done Jinty and androb.

Curlywurlysareyum · 29/04/2013 22:19

Daisy - sorry to hear about the miscarriages.

Well done for getting on the scales

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2013 22:35

Daisy - bread is awful on sw - which is weird as carbs and can eat (within reason) as much pasta rice and pots

Well done jinty / join the tortoise club with androb and I

Androb :( but yah for a holiday :)

1/2 lb loss. After Friday night I'm grateful for any loss. I worked it out I must have had about 80-90 syns! Shock

catlady1 · 30/04/2013 09:32

Hello all, is there room for a huge one? I joined group last night, weighed in at 15 st 1 lb! This is the heaviest I've ever been. And the heaviest I ever want to be!

Feeling very determined at the moment, but don't we always when we start a diet. I'm hoping that having to pay for it will make me stick with it!

Holliewantstobehot · 30/04/2013 09:51

well done on all the losses and well done daisy for weighing in.

WI this morning and have lost 3 lbs!!!!! Totally unlike me as I am usually a tortoise so am dancing with joy. I have not stuck to an eating plan for more than 2 or 3 weeks at a time in the last year and have now completed 4 weeks so a little dance for that too I think! Am going to use my syns for a wispa bar tonight in celebration.

BadRoly · 30/04/2013 10:42

Morning all Grin

So many new 'faces' - it's lovely but I will need a proper session on the iPad/laptop to put names to stories Blush and remember who is who!

Blondes - I could picture you shaking your head when you said oh roly Wink

Today is going to be a good day! I can feel it in my waters... WI tomorrow so I am not stressing until then. April is almost to an end.

Last May we lost my fil and my Dad on 6th and 10th. I am being positive and will not let these anniversaries get in my way. Neither man would want us to dwell on the day they died - there are many happier days to remember them by. Sounds good in theory anyway...

FourLittleDudes · 30/04/2013 10:52

Hello everyone :-) do you mind if I join?

I started SW three days ago and have had to go cold turkey on chocolate - I was eating 10-15 bars per day Shock and not much else in the way of proper food. I had a baby nearly 14 weeks ago and I've just sat around eating biscuits, cake and chocolate whilst breastfeeding and I've put a stone and a half on since he was born!

I'm 13st 0.5lb and want to be 10stone so about 42lb to lose

I love bread, I can't resist the smell of it, so its banned from the house, along with chocolate. I'm not sure I'm doing the diet right but hopefully it will have done something when I weigh in on Saturday.

Yesterday I had;

B - Fruit & Fibre (HexB) Skimmed Milk (HexA) Apple
L - Pasta, Tuna, Sprinkle of cheese (extra hexA due to breast feeding)
D - Steak, SW chips, Salad.

Snacks - Plums x2, Satsumas x2, Banana, Grapes, Pear.

Syns - Extra Cereal 4, drop of olive oil 1, Muller Light 0.5, Coffee Mate 2, Hot Chocolate 2 total = 9.5 syns.

I've read the entire first thread and am on page 17 of this one so hopefully will be all caught up soon :-)

assumpta · 30/04/2013 13:04

You ladies are so inspiring...and doing really really well. I read through most of the posts up till Sunday evening and decided to give SW a go; again! I have probably about a stone to lose. Previously I did red or green days, but I have been reading up on EE.

I wanted to know do I have to have a third green, a third red and a third super free, every time I eat. No problem with the super free, I like salad, but it's the mix of red and green I can't always do. For example for breakfast I had half a grapefruit, and a satsuma mixed with activia fat free vanilla yogurt.

Lunch was salad, Parma ham and melon lettuce wraps, with about a sheet of converted lasagne sheets into crispy bites, and for dinner I am planning on chicken Caesar salad with parmesan from healthy extra 'a', but no croutons. I didn't plan on having any 'Green Day' food with it. Do I have to? Thank you.

WheresMyCow · 30/04/2013 13:41

Wow...lots of new faces, hello hello hello!! Grin

Congrats to all the losses...boo to any gains Sad

I had WI on Saturday and lost 2.5lbs and got my half stone award Grin

FourLittleDudes That day looks like you're doing fine to me...but how are you doing without having any chocolate? Grin

Assumpta When you say 'green day' food do you mean pasta/rice/potatoes etc.? You don't have to have them, and I don't do a third each red/green/superfree on ee, you just have to try for 1/3 superfree with each meal.

assumpta · 30/04/2013 14:00

Yes for Green i mean potatoes, rice pasta etc. if I happen to be having shepherds pie for dinner, mince with potato topping and lots of veg is that ok for just one mean, or do I also have to have red and green together with veg/salad at lunch time? Sorry, I don't completely get it, as for breakfast I would have cereal, but not always fruit, but I may have fruit and cucumber, tomatoes through the day, so does this work?

FourLittleDudes · 30/04/2013 14:06

WheresMyCow - I've actually had to visit my GP Blush as I thought I had flu like symptoms and thought I might have mastitis, but embarrassingly he says its withdrawal symptoms! I've felt rotten the last couple of days and my youngest has been so unsettled to with a windy stomach, all the fruit I'm eating probably. I dreamt about chocolate last night.

FourLittleDudes · 30/04/2013 14:07

Ps - can anyone else not stop farting? Blush
