Hello, can I join you?

I've just registered online for SW (great discount code AVIVA2013).

Day 3 - I'm looking or dinner inspiration.

I have a great SW pastry-less quiche recipe that I can offer you all (by way of friendship and support) - which is FREE Grin and freezes well.

,
My first weigh in is on Saturday.

Paxdora, having just found 6 eggs in our nest box, I would like the quiche recipe please Grin

I must remember to finish my post before hitting the post button...

I am on a fridge empty/eat up today so have had leftover Chinese takeaway for lunch - boiled rice, 1/4 'box' each of chicken chow mein and beef in black bean sauce. I am counting it as 10 syns but would be shocked if it really was Wink

For tea I am doing proper carbonara for the kids (which I don't like) and I'm having leftover SW chilli with a jacket.

I had banana for breakfast so will use hifi bars and babybel when the munchies hit...

SW pastry free quiche.

Ingredients:

4 slices smoked bacon (fat cut off) - fried in fry light, drain excess water

2 leeks sliced
1 medium sweet potato diced into bite sized chunks
Fried in fry light until soft (apps 10 mins)

Whisk 4 eggs with 200g quark AND 200g light cottage cheese
Add salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients together

Spray fry light into flan dish and pour in mixture of all ingredients)

Grate cheese from allowance on top

Bake at 180 for about 20-25 mins (sometimes a little longer depending on oven but you will know by sight when it's cooked)

Serve with new pots and salad

Cut eft overs into chunks and freeze for another day.

Sometimes I add roasted peppers too (arranged in an arty fashion on top of the mixture)

The quiche rises quite high and then deflates when out of the oven.

Ok, pre WI tonight, I have had:

B: muller light, blue berries, hi if bar (HEb)

L: baked beans, topped with cheese (hea). Muller light, banana, Sharon fruit, mandarin

Zippo syns so far.... Dinner is planned to be smoked salmon pasta, with whipped up yog instead of sour cream (sounds disgusting, tastes yum) with salad.

Fingers crossed for a loss (any loss!) tonight....

Hello everyone, lovely to meet you all and thanks for the warm welcome! Feeling heartened to hear from ladies in my age group, knowing I'm not the only one who finds weight loss slow now.
I used the Aviva code too - it's valid till 31/3 I think.
Quite impressed by SW website and its various tools.
Having a good day!
Paxdora thanks for the recipes and ideas. Struggling a bit to get my ancient head round Extra Easy so sticking to what I know, and what has worked in the past, i.e. Green plan.
Best wishes to you all especially those with WI today (mine will be Saturday mornings) xx

I'm another newbie this time

I did it about 5 years ago and lost 2 stone and have since put that on plus a bit more for luck.

I have been shopping and bought a mountain of fruit, done my meal plan for the week - all green days.

'plan plan plan - know what you are going to the kitchen for' is my motto, no rummaging allowed

So

Tonight

Turkey Shepherds pie

Tom

Salmon Fishcakes with jacket and salad

Thurs

Egg beans, mushrooms and a few sw chips

Fri

I'm going out but will be sensible and at least will not have a pudding

Sat

Chilli

Sun

Roast chicken

Mon

Left over roast chicken

Tues

Chicken, cheese and onion pie.

Oh blondes don't worry too much. Sometimes you can't stick to plan for quite understandable reasons, if the rest of the week has been/is going to be ok, then you'll be fine.

Off for my WI in a few minutes. eeek.
