ThatBintAgain · 22/03/2013 09:53

Well done everyone on the losses!

I ate three hot cross buns the day after I lost three pounds. I don't know why I do these things, I clearly have issues. Hmm In my defence I was starving after walking 6 miles up hills, but still...

KissMyGrits · 22/03/2013 10:12

Well done blondes that is a fantastic loss!

thatbint I always give myself a little treat after weigh in and the 6 miles is great!

noyouhavehadawee · 22/03/2013 10:16

Aw well done blondes i lost half a pound so now officially ten stone something yey !!

ThatBintAgain · 22/03/2013 10:42

KissMyGrits (fab name, is that from the Wedding Singer?!) I just really hope that I didn't undo myself, I must have had about 50 syns that day. I was ravenous!

3girls1madboy · 22/03/2013 13:10

Bugger!!! Thought I would get a healthy puy lentil and Tom soup from Tesco. Turns out it, it's 19.5 Syns Shock.
There goes my couple of glasses of wine!
Why oh why can't I just be slimSad

KissMyGrits · 22/03/2013 14:04

ThatBint Its an American saying that I say to my American husband when he's getting on my nerves! It was probably said on The Wedding Singer (awesome movie!), just found it's supposed to be spelled griz not grits though, oops!

3girls I hate it when that happens I had a bread roll with some soup that turned out to be 9 syns, on top of everything else I'd eaten that day it wasn't good!

DoubleIndemnity · 22/03/2013 15:58

Hi all
This is a great thread - loads of advice and support
Sorry not been on for a couple of days but have been really concentrating hard and trying to get my head round doing Extra Easy instead of Green. I'm not a vegetarian but eat very little meat - hate anything chewy, fatty or gristly. But love chicken, fish, seafood.
Am I right in concluding that on EE I can only have 1 HE A and 1 HE B per day (on green I could have 2 of each?)
I notice from the latest SW magazine that very few of the recipes have a Green Syn value - they are mainly EE.
Anyway, I made the cheesy pasta bake last night (p.31) left out the ham so I guess it was a Green meal like that. It was tasty.
From my previous forays into SW, I recall Batchelors Savoury Rice was free - is that still the case?
Feeling a bit thwarted today as had planned outdoor exercise and we have 6" snow in the north...also was going to drive to local swimming pool and can't get my car out.
Well done to you all anyway on your endeavours, and losses where applicable, I am finding this thread SO encouraging.
xx

KissMyGrits · 22/03/2013 16:15

Double Thats right about the HE's on EE, just 1 each. I think they're really pushing the EE plan now, because it really is easy.

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 22/03/2013 19:06

3girls you poor thing Shock think of all the goodies you could have had Hmm

3girls1madboy · 22/03/2013 19:28

Tell me about it Fish!! And I wasn't even planning on buying any, but I smelt the fresh bread, and that was it!!!!
Hey ho tomorrow is a new day, and I plan to be back on track Smile

Cupcake1982 · 22/03/2013 19:34

Evening all :)
Thank you for all the lovely welcomes! I am going to be around for a while as I have about 5 stone to lose but to be honest I can't think about that right now, and just need to concentrate on small targets one at a time.
Day 2 has gone well, Today I've been enjoying pasta in tomato sauce, jacket with cheese and beans, muller light yogs and fruit.
I am going to use 9 syns tonight on a cadburys cream egg :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2013 19:37

Thank you. Really happy :) and amazed lol

19.5 for lentil and Tom soup????? Wtf else was in it. Double cream???

You were robbed :(

Think Heinz soup is 8 a tin and that's a rip off when think being healthy

L was a macoroni cheese bake. Very nice. Prob v high in syns. But havnt had a yet so that a few syns less for cheese and pasta is free Grin did have huge salad with it

Day at work was emotionally trying and tiring - even more so as worked last night so tired anyway. Temp job and ill crying children who were ok ish till sahm came in and then they cried

In bath with stiff one

Well it is naughty night

Grits many thanks, finally getting my head round it now, and yes you are right it is easy when you come to think of it It just seems like so much food is either free or superfree, you feel like you shouldn't be eating so much. Need to get out of my "green" mindset. Cooking nice piece of salmon with lots of veg right now and have some syns to play with so possibly a glass of red to go with?? A stiff one in the bath sounds great Blondes!!
Have a good weekend all!
Your friend in the frozen north xx

DoubleIndemnity · 22/03/2013 19:51

And just checked online, savoury rice free on EE - excellent!

laughalot · 22/03/2013 20:01

I have been a very naughty girl today but I have a excuse Grin my sister in law is about to make me a Aunty she went into labour at ten thirty last night but is stuck at 5cm at the minute Sad. So I have had a pre celebration on mini eggs oops.

Well done everyone on the losses especially blondes Grin.

beanandspud · 22/03/2013 20:08

Not a great day today Sad. We took DS out for a Chinese meal for tea (his request) and although I had prawns as a starter and then prawns with ginger as a main course with boiled rice I suspect it was still syns-ful. Have also had a couple of glasses of wine.

Pretty much syn-free the rest of the day apart from 3 ryvitas though.

Not expecting a loss tomorrow tbh - too much Wine and eating out this week. I did however try on a pair of trousers that I bought before Christmas (and could hardly do up) and they are actually loose so something is working.

beanandspud · 22/03/2013 20:10
3girls1madboy · 22/03/2013 20:22

My thoughts exactly Blonde...texted dh in shock! I did check the ingredients again, no double cream, but olive oil, so there is some of them....god knows where the rest came from Confused.

I love trying on things that used to be tight Bean, I have a pair of work trousers, that are too loose, and need to not be worn again, as they make my bum look huge Grin

Good luck Laughalot's SIL x

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 23/03/2013 07:34

I'm very pissed off. Have stuck to plan exactly and had less than 5 sins every day except for Thursday when had about 12 and lost .5lb this week. Put on .5 last week so 2 weeks hard dieting for nothing. Started with personal trainer at the gym 3 weeks ago and weight loss has basically stopped Sad

Am working so hard it's so demoralising.. Is it because I'm within sight of goal do you think ( about 7/8 lbs to go )

KissMyGrits · 23/03/2013 07:41

Fish I notice that if I've done lots of exercise my weight loss isn't always quicker. Possibly you're just converting fat to muscle, what kind of exercise are you doing? Try checking your inches and wether clothes are looser as well.
