@Madbee I did, DS stayed asleep long enough for me to finish it but has been awake since!

Hope you've managed to sneak into bed

Madbee · 28/03/2018 22:09

Nope, total failure here! Feeding and hoping that will do her for a while.

Worlds0kayestmum · 28/03/2018 22:13

If my OH complains ONE MORE TIME about how tired he is despite not ever, not even once, having to get up to DS in 11 months, I'm completely justified in punching him in the face, right??

FrozenMargarita17 · 28/03/2018 22:14

Yes ! @Worlds0kayestmum

UtterlyConfused111 · 28/03/2018 22:20

@worlds0kayestmum
Yes!

Worlds0kayestmum · 28/03/2018 22:22

Oh good, especially as he woke DS when we went to bed by jabbing the bottle of olbas oil into my eye (he was trying to find my bedside table to place it on), so now I'm feeding and he's tucked up in bed. Im feeling murderous, I want to go to sleep

NinaMarieP · 28/03/2018 22:41

Tonight is gonna be baaaaad. He hasn't slept more than 1.5 hours at a time when I've been on night duty this past week.

Fed him to sleep around 7. Woke 40 minutes later screaming. Settled him with his dummy. Woke 55 minutes later screaming. Was up for a while, tired but happy, fed him to sleep around 9. Woke 40 minutes later and cried.

He had calpol, he's got snufflebabe on for his slightly stuffy nose.

Bring on tomorrow night when it's not my turn to deal with it! Annoying thing is he sleeps 4 hours plus at a time for his dad!

Oh and I wouldn't go for the face @Worlds0kayestmum, there are far more painful places to go for which run less risk of you hurting your hand.

Second night of ds sleeping in his cot. During the day I put him in there with some toys thinking it might help him getting used to it... As per usual he started the evening off by falling asleep on me, we put hi in his cot at 9 pm immediately woke and cried. I tried again half an hour later and the same happened so I took him in with me for an hour until dp came to bed, transferred ds to cot and he lasted 10 minutes... I’ve tried twice since then and no matter how careful I am he wakes up immediately and cries.... I really don’t know what to do, I mean, I have to persevere but it’s just so frustrating. Right I’ve got to give it another go but will probably be back in 10 minutes time. Wish me luck.

FrozenMargarita17 · 29/03/2018 00:01

@Sakura03 what happens if you leave him there and put your hand on his chest/face?

With my dd I have to have contact with her until she falls asleep. She will stroke (and pinch Sad) me until she falls asleep and then I can sneak off and replace my hand with her comforter.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/03/2018 01:14

So frustrating @sakura. I hate doing cot transfers, very best of luck.

So we have another man down...DH now has my sickness bug. I think our lovely Easter weekend plans are going to have to be cancelled...

Cloeycat · 29/03/2018 01:20

Can I join? 1 year old who hasn’t slept in months and an other half who works shifts and is currently on his 5th week of nights. So sick of this shit.

Worlds0kayestmum · 29/03/2018 01:30

@sakura could you try a hot water bottle so that you aren't transferring from lovely warm Mummy's arms to a cool cot surface (obviously remove it once he's in the cot,). Best of luck

Meepmoop · 29/03/2018 03:23

I haven't made it into bed yet, I just can't get DS to stay asleep. It sounds like yet another cold is starting as he sounds snuffly. My eyes are are stinging

sleepycat13 · 29/03/2018 04:45

hey all. I haven't been on here in a while as I needed to take a break from reminding me of the lack of sleep!! and also I find using my phone in the night makes it harder for me to fall back to sleep but tonight is a shocker and I need some company so thought I would hop back on in. hope you don't mind.

was really hoping things would improve by now but they haven't. ds is 6 months as of well about 20 mins ago. currently sat in the living room eating donuts whilst he bashes his lullaby teddy bear. haven't had more than an hour in total since midnight. it's going to be a long long day

FrozenMargarita17 · 29/03/2018 07:03

Dd did a stretch from 12:30ish to 5:30 so I was quite pleased about that! It's the longest stretch she's done for absolutely months !

Meepmoop · 29/03/2018 07:20

@FrozenMargarita17 that's great news. Bet your feeling good.

Sorry you've had a rubbish night @sleepycat13. I'm with you on the long day ahead but I am donutless

Managed to get an hour and a half in from 5.30 which was my longest stretch. Coffee needed desperately

NinaMarieP · 29/03/2018 07:27

Yep tonight was rubbish. The longest he slept for was about 1.5 hours between 4&5.30.

sleepycat13 · 29/03/2018 07:34

we got 1.5 hours at 5.30 too. what's going on!! broken baby.

FrozenMargarita17 · 29/03/2018 07:39

It's quite a change from waking every 1-2 hours! Maybe my plan is working. Or it's a blip and she'll go back to it tonight.

NinaMarieP · 29/03/2018 07:39

Broken baby, broken mummy...

FrozenMargarita17 · 29/03/2018 07:40

I hope you get some naps today @NinaMarieP

lizzlebizzle33 · 29/03/2018 08:13

Morning everyone, not been on for a couple of days, it's been hectic here with birthdays and visitors, I hope you're all well.x

Horrific couple of nights with ds2, no longer just refusing his cot he's just refusing to even go to sleep!
Last night was awful, fell asleep around 8pm (on boob) tried a cot transfer and he just started screaming and wouldn't stop!
I had to take him back downstairs so he didn't wake ds1 up. Still couldn't calm him down, thought it may be his teeth so have him calpol. He calmed down after that so I took him to bed with me an he only woke 3 times all night after that so we got some sleep in the end.

My back is broken this morning though. I'm so uncomfortable right now, 2 pregnancies is 2 years has messed my body up big time.

How is everyone's day ahead looking? Anything exciting?

I'm taking ds2 for a weigh and then do some found shopping, wow my life is wild!

Worlds0kayestmum · 29/03/2018 08:49

DS woke every two hours last night, this morning I didn't fasten his beaker properly and he dumped a cup of peach squash all over himself (he won't drink water, I've tried for months and now I've given up) and he's refused breakfast because he's an overtired, screaming mess. Bad day

lizzlebizzle33 · 29/03/2018 09:16

Oh no @Worlds0kayestmum I hate a bad start to the day, I hope it gets better for you. Have you any help today or are you flying solo?x
