ds is 16 months.up untill 8 months slept great, then stopped!then we coslept till just over 1 year which was great but didnt last as we all seemed to wake each other.we also tried pu pd which was great for a bit but also didnt last.then i just conditioned myself to hourly waking, only falling to sleep which bottle no matter the time.but now hes drinking 4 pints of milk a day not eating because hes full on milk but waking all night for more milk as its not enough.i think hes also comforted by the sucking.
so tonight we did usual bedtime routine.quiet time, bath, bottle(but this time on bed not in cot),story and bed-but i took bottle out with me.i went in after 2,4,6,8 minutes then every 8 minutes after that as i think thats my limit that i can cope with.it took 1 hour in all but hes sleeping cuddling his sleepy cow.i want to hear positive stories to keep me going in early hours of morning!!!please dont anyone tell me off etc,i need support.

Thought I should let you know how it went the last 2 nights. I was a bit worried that DP wouldn't be able to handle the screaming, but it seems one night was all it took. ds2 went to bed on Fri, screamed for only a few minutes, DP hadn't even gone back up to him, and last night it was quiet before DP got down teh stairs. Hopefully Monday & Tuesday when I'm home will be just as successful.

Is it likely to mess things up with it being different?

Hi, I've been offline for a while but just thought I'd check in. I did cc nearly a month ago now, and the results have been up and down, but now most nights dd (nearly 7 months) goes down without a whisper at about 8 and doesn't need me until 5ish, when she feeds and then usually goes back to sleep for another hour or so. Some nights she wakes another time before 5 and can't settle herself so I feed her (I think she may just be thirsty in the heat) and others she cries for a few minutes and then settles herself before I can go in, or after 1 visit. I must admit I still dread hearing her cry in the night, but I'm now relaxed enough to get some decent stretches sleep myself - so much better than the two hours max I was getting before . It was hard for two full weeks though, so hang on in there, even if it isn't 'textbook' all the way - and come on here for encouragement!

I'm still worried I'll jinx it by posting such a positive story though
