ds is 16 months.up untill 8 months slept great, then stopped!then we coslept till just over 1 year which was great but didnt last as we all seemed to wake each other.we also tried pu pd which was great for a bit but also didnt last.then i just conditioned myself to hourly waking, only falling to sleep which bottle no matter the time.but now hes drinking 4 pints of milk a day not eating because hes full on milk but waking all night for more milk as its not enough.i think hes also comforted by the sucking.
so tonight we did usual bedtime routine.quiet time, bath, bottle(but this time on bed not in cot),story and bed-but i took bottle out with me.i went in after 2,4,6,8 minutes then every 8 minutes after that as i think thats my limit that i can cope with.it took 1 hour in all but hes sleeping cuddling his sleepy cow.i want to hear positive stories to keep me going in early hours of morning!!!please dont anyone tell me off etc,i need support.

Well Kittypants, you seem to be another success story- your kid is happy, you are happy....

I did cc with my little one from 5 months... it took 3 days of her getting used to the concept but i have the most gorgeous, happy, socialble, healthy litte one ever!!!

Keep posting so you can give hope to other mummys outhere!

Lots of love!

kittypants · 07/05/2007 10:33

CarGirl · 07/05/2007 11:42

perhaps last night was your glitch night then or he would be coming down with a cold or something so wasn't sleeping as deeply. Well done hope you soon start feeling much better for it - takes a while to start sleeping properly after lots of broken nights!

Pimmsontherocks · 08/05/2007 09:47

Keep persevering.... it is so worth it for you and your baby!

As I mentioned before I am a product of CC- and so far I haven;t had any psychological damage from it!!

I looovoe sleeping and my baby too!

My fav thing at the weekend is having naps together!

SoMuchToBits · 08/05/2007 13:05

Also sorry to hear about your ds - hope he is soon feeling better.

DaddyJ · 09/05/2007 12:57

So sorry to hear that
The first (and thank god, last) time dd bumped her head was when she had just learned to sit.
She suddenly fell to the side and hit her head on the bricks in front of the fire place..
She recovered pretty quickly, though, am sure your ds will be same

kittypants · 09/05/2007 14:31

im sure he'll be fine, just the being sick and falling to sleep was scary, and he went so pale!
