@user1489931797 You can get them off Amazon. They're just concentrated probiotic bacteria that you can normally find in yogurts etc. Both you and your LO can take them, especially if you ever have to take a course of antibiotics which can wreck havoc on your gut flora.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 15/01/2018 21:34

Those who are freaked out by Stranger Things...avoid watching Dark on Netflix. We've just started it and it's not helping with my already overtired anxious state. It's very good though! I insisted we watch some Big Bang Theory tonight cos I can't handle any nightmares...

@amagdalena glad the scan didn't shoe anything worrying.

Here we go with another night shift! I remember a time when I used to fantasise about getting dirty with Tom Hardy between the sheets...now my fantasies involve a kingsize bed with crisp new sheets, absolute quiet and all to myself for 12 hours...

Meepmoop · 15/01/2018 21:44

DS is not having any of it tonight. Took me over an hour to settle him and he woke up screaming 30mins later. DH has tried his best to settle him but he was pretty inconsolable and unfortunately I have the boobs. So far 15minutes sleep woohoo.

Nicellen · 15/01/2018 21:48

Was on for good night, DS took full bottle and seemed to be settling- next thing completely brought up the full bottle. That's me dealing with unsettled little one for a few hours at least. What I would give for unbroken sleep 😴😴

UtterlyConfused111 · 15/01/2018 22:14

Ok, still asleep after 3 hours!!! Woo hoo!! She’s snoring softly.... such a beautiful sound. Why am I still awake?! I’m going to bed (I bet she will wake up as soon as I fall asleep)
@user1489931797
I can’t remember how old your LO is but when mine was constipated from reflux formula at around 23 week+ I gave her diluted prune juice and then when she weaned eventually puréed prunes (I made this puréed soaked mixture of dried apricots and prunes we called the poo goo which worked beautifully to unplug her). But the diluted prune juice works...

Zampa · 15/01/2018 22:19

Ha! You've reminded me of when we started giving DD1 prune juice @UtterlyConfused111 ... It was rather too effective!

user1489931797 · 15/01/2018 23:16

Thanks @UtterlyConfused111 my LO is 8wks thanks for the tip!!

Sakura03 · 16/01/2018 00:13

Arg... had just transferred ds to cot, nipped to the loo, got back and he’s wide awake... please not another night with very little sleep... ds hasn’t slept much this evening so,surely he’s tired, now falling asleep on my boob so will give it another go...

Jellybean2017 · 16/01/2018 02:03

4th wakeup already 😭

First wake up here. Dd had a colicy evening, but I got her into her cot by 11. Was hoping for a longer sleep because she fed quite a lot this evening, but I guess not.

It's my birthday today, so maybe she's going to give me a longer sleep from this feed onwards.

Jellybean2017 · 16/01/2018 02:10

Ahh happy birthday @actino, hope your DD is kind to you 😊

@AMagdalena that's great news. Hopefully the weird poos don't reappear and no further symptoms of whatever that was. Glad you got that reassurance.

@WhoAteAllthePercyPigs crèche didn't go completely to plan but in hindsight that was my fault. They called me back after 30 mins or so because he was yelling. By the time I got there he was settled. He was both tired and hungry. I'd left him m a bottle which they had given him and he finished the entire thing. I should have tipped him up before dropping him off and I did wake him from a nap in his Snüzpod to put him in the car. So it wasn't a great start to be honest but like I say, my fault. I might try again on Friday.
Dh thinks I should keep trying. I think I should never leave him ever ever ever again.

@theotherendofthesockportal It's almost scary isn't it. Ds would sleep in the car seat and I'd be a ninja getting the car seat out of the car. He's still asleep. I creep to the door making sure not to knock the car seat. He still sleeps. I open the door and quietly put my keys on the side and I gently put the car seat on the side in the lounge. A take a peak to check he's still asleep and he staring, wide eyed, right back at me! 🙄

@WhoAteAllthePercyPigs Enough of your dirty talk....Crisp clean sheets and starfishing in a kingsized bed .... utter filth 🤤

TV
Watched breaking bad a long while ago now. That was good.
Finished designated survivor season 2 recently. Also very good.
Caught up and finished greys anatomy season 13.
Currently working my way through Black Mirror - loving this and I'm worried I will finish it soon and I won't be able to fill the void.
Daytime easy watching and background tv is Friends. They've released all 10 series on Netflix 👌
Up on my watch lists: (in no particular order) stranger things 2. This is us. Walking dead latest season. Bright. Wormwood.

HashtagTired · 16/01/2018 02:34

Oooh. Bold fail.
Sorry about that!

HashtagTired · 16/01/2018 02:43

@actino HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you get the gift of sleep!

HashtagTired · 16/01/2018 02:47

I would normally be enjoying the wind and the rain whilst tucked up in a cosy warm bed, especially as dd is in breakfast club tomorrow so I don't have to walk her to school.

But

I do have an outdoors postnatal fit club in the park at 9am tomorrow morning which is kinda ruined the cosiness of the moment. Sigh. Off to sleep.

actino · 16/01/2018 02:57

Thanks everyone! Dd is apparently wants to spend some quality awake time with me, but she is at least putting on her cutest face :)

I'm 4 episodes into Black Mirror, I just watched the black and white episode. I've also been binging on Friends during the day.

HashtagTired · 16/01/2018 03:18

I'm not sure if this is extended feed #1 or a new #2. 48 mins of sleep but he was thrashing around for a good many of these which means I didn't get any. Maybe he's having nightmares about crèche today Hmm

HashtagTired · 16/01/2018 03:39

Deployed EBLL for the first time in a while. It seems the batteries are going because it only lasts around 2 mins. Either that of time really does fly on the night shift these days

HashtagTired · 16/01/2018 03:44

The boy is restless tonight. He's thrashing around a lot. Eyes closed, but not for long I'm sure. He's really quite violet with his kicks.
Realising he hasn't done a poo for a day or two.

....aaaaaand he's awake.

Sakura03 · 16/01/2018 04:12

actino happy birthday Cake, hope you have a lovely day.
HashtagTired hey I think you should be proud of yourself to actually manage to leave your ds in the gym crèche even if it had for less time, you know why he screamed and can try a different approach next time, so well done!
Well done ds I’ve just had 3 hrs and 20 minutes sleep it was wonderful😁 hopefully a quick feed and back to bed (we’ve never done quick feeds here)...
We’ve got baby massage this afternoon, I’m determined that we’re taking part this time so will make sure he’s had a humongous feed before leaving the house.
Is anyone watching Kiri on channel 4 with Sarah Lancashire? 2nd episode tomorrow.

Catscatsandmorecats · 16/01/2018 04:13

Happy Birthday @actino I hope you get some more sleep

@amagdalena good news there was nothing bad on the scan

@hashtagtired keep trying with the crèche, he'll get there.

Just done feed no.3 DS2 not so bad tonight, s couple of 2.5 hour stretches although one was broken by a resettle. Have put anbesol on now in the hope he'll do another good stretch until getting up time.

Sakura03 · 16/01/2018 04:23

Ooh I forgot to report back on the weekend’s out and abouts with my friend who came down to visit. She couldn’t get her hands off my ds (which was great), we had two pub meals and I felt quite confident getting my boobs out to feed him in public. Over the two days I had three shandy’s (half pints) and really enjoyed them. My friend brought him three new outfits in size 0-3 months and they are lovely, won’t be long before he’ll fit into them. All in all ds behaved well and it was nice spending time with my friend.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 16/01/2018 05:17

Happy birthday @Actino! The gift of sleep is indeed the most precious.

DS had first feed at 1.15 I think. Slept about 2 hours then awake at 4. Still awake. Despite lots of yawning, no sign of wanting to sleep. I hate this time when it's way too hear to getting up time but you're not yet ready to accept defeat on the sleep front...

PodgeBod · 16/01/2018 05:43

Happy Birthday Actino!
DD2 did really well last night. She stayed in her cot from about 8.45 to 12.30ish. Of course silly me didn't go to bed until gone 11...
She did do a lot of crying but it wasn't as frantic as last night and I could mostly try to cuddle her and sleep. She kicked her dad a lot so after his comments last night that was fine Grin we got up for 5.30 but we have an early funeral today so needed to be up early anyway. I think she's getting the message that there is no breast in the night but that's ok because there will be in the morning but not for long

Catscatsandmorecats · 16/01/2018 06:35

Woooohoooo only a three feed night here, there were a couple of extra resettles so not loads of sleep but it's a start. Even better DS1 slept a full 11 hours in his own bed Grin

@sakura03 that's great you had such a nice weekend with your friend. And good you felt comfortable feeding in public, i know how hard it was for me first off with DS1. I got to totally shameless by the end and am the same with DS2 now - I even fed him on the side of the road helping out after I'd witnessed an accident!

Going to get up now so DH can go for the bike ride he missed out on yesterday. And DS2 has just filled his nappy and is laughing about it Smile
