AMagdalena glad nothing too serious has shown up. The poos may remain an unsolved mystery.

Out of interest does anyone else clock watch for naps? I don't remember doing this with my other two but I've become a real clockwatcher with LO....90 mins after he wakes I can generally get him to nap again. Shame he is a cat napper though. Any tricks to extend??

yolkybokey · 15/01/2018 16:14

I just want to warn all my fellow sleep deprived mums - this is what happens if you put Sophie the giraffe in a microwave steriliser ShockShockShock

@AMagdalena glad to hear there was nothing scary on the scans

@xxrealistmumxx my DS naps in a bouncy chair so I can sometimes extend his nap by bouncing more vigorously when he stirs

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/01/2018 16:46

@xxrealistmumxx I would love to know how to extend day time naps. DD only sleeps for one sleep cycle. I've taken to going for walks with the buggy to keep me sane but as soon as we cross the threshold of our house her eyes ping open.

AMagdalena · 15/01/2018 17:00

@yolkeybokey Oh, no! Poor Sophie!y DD would be devastated.

Thank God for amazon prime, we've got a new one!

SleepForTheWeek · 15/01/2018 18:56

We started Stranger Things but it was s but creepy for me and DH didn't get into it. We are now several episodes into Designated Survivor which is brilliant - if you liked Homeland/West Wing you should give it a bash.

DD2 sleeping on the boob so going to try transfer her soon - no doubt she'll wake up and be up for a couple hours 🙄. DH doing bed with DD1 but she'll inevitably have a meltdown about everything me not doing bed with her - which in turn will wake up DD2 of by some miracle I can transfer her successfully to the next to me

SleepForTheWeek · 15/01/2018 19:16

DD2 successfully transferred to crib
DD1 has a screaming fit in her room which woke up DD2

There goes my evening

Those sound like a host of difficult problems @UtterlyConfused111.

Sounds like the drinking is a problem on its own but it has a huge impact on other things.

Anyone's LO on Nutramigen and gets severely constipated and is think perhaps LO isn't CMPA and knows what is recommended to solve constipation on this formula without having to regularly use lactulose?

Ven83 · 15/01/2018 19:32

Trapped under the sleeping baby, DH is supposed to come home any moment, but I locked the door with the key in and he can't get in without me getting up and letting him Envy
I'm the architect of my own downfall

Ven83 · 15/01/2018 19:34

@user1489931797 Probiotics. You can add them to the formula bottle.

Ven83 · 15/01/2018 19:37

@user1489931797 Probiotics. You can add it to the formula bottle. Best solution for constipation.

user1489931797 · 15/01/2018 19:37

Thanks @ven83 x

user1489931797 · 15/01/2018 19:38

Thanks @ven83 x

Ven83 · 15/01/2018 19:39

Ugh sorry about multiple posts. The internet connection in our house is a nightmare every since DH decided to switch providers because of a £3 difference Hmm

AMagdalena · 15/01/2018 19:49

I second probiotics for constipation and general gastric problems. I give them directly to DD mixed with my milk.

Nicellen · 15/01/2018 20:02

What probiotics do people suggest?
X

Catscatsandmorecats · 15/01/2018 20:08

DS1 fell asleep half way through his bedtime story, in the meantime DH got DS2 down and I got to bed before 8. Just need to try and get to sleep now before the tag teaming to keep me awake in the early hours.

I'm interested in probiotics too, what do people use,?

Ven83 · 15/01/2018 20:15

We use OptiBac, they're not cheap but really good IME. They come in powder form so easy to mix with a bottle of formula or expressed milk.

user1489931797 · 15/01/2018 20:22

Great thanks for the recommendation @Ven83 does anyone know if GP will prescribe this?

Catscatsandmorecats · 15/01/2018 20:24

DS2 has woken after one sleep cycle for another feed. Hopefully he'll go for a bit longer after this and I can get some proper sleep in

SleepForTheWeek · 15/01/2018 21:02

FFS, DD2 still awake almost 2 hours after DD1 woke her up with her antics Angry

AMagdalena · 15/01/2018 21:17

I have started a local brand of probiotics, so would be useless to recommend it.

So...DD got stuck on hee front in the cot and got upset. That's cot sleeping done with for the night as I can't be bothered to settle her and I have started missing her when she's in the cot 😢
