hes exactly 15 months today.slept great till 8 months.we coslept till about 12 months but he seemed to need space and we seemed to disturb him.tried pu pd which worked great(and i found a nice experience,no cc)but went away and was very concious of ds waking up hosts so gave him milk on each waking.now he goes bed with bottle at 7pm,wakes at least 5 times a night,up at 6 am ish.i should do pu pd again but too tired!easier to give him milk!

kittypants · 19/03/2007 11:36

and naps about 2 hours, again with milk.

tibsy · 19/03/2007 11:39

kitty - bless, my dd is 6 1/2 months, bf and co sleeps, after she wakes up, have tried ncss, putting her in cot awake, putting her in cot asleep, you name it i've tried it!!! actually, havent tried the pu/pd malarkey.... sounds interesting. ah well. nights or us vary, last two have been good, others, can wake 4-6 + times.
i do recognise your name from other threads and as im sure you know, if nothing else, we can offer you support on this one!!!

OP posts:
kittypants · 19/03/2007 11:45

we tried ncss too, loved book and really wanted it to work but didntbut glad we tried it and love that we were able to continue cosleeping whilst doing it.hope you recognise my name for good reasons not bad!?

Amberjee · 19/03/2007 12:04

LO has been napping in his cot for 20 minutes. Doesn't sound like much, but this is completely unheard of! I wonder how long he can last. He was asleep in my sling, I took him out fast, swaddled him and put him down and patted him back to sleep. He didn't wake up too much, so was quite easy actually. Normally he startles his eyes open immediately, but not this time (yeee haaaarrr).
Last night was still pretty rough though.

tibsy · 19/03/2007 12:49

kitty- dont worry, just liked the name!!!!
amber - yey for you and lo re. nap. for last night tho.

LEMONADEGIRL · 19/03/2007 14:47

Another bad night - started off good waking at 3;30, but then would not settle back after feed, so have been roughly awake since then. Feel sooooo drained.

Napped in the car this morning when dragged myself to supermarket. Felt very grouchy at anyone who got in the way of trolley. Ds loves the supermarket though and was very cute and gurgly all way around.

Well done Cruise - hope it the start of future good nights for you!

gingerninja · 19/03/2007 15:10

Cruise, 10 fu@king hours? 10 fu@king hours? I could cry for you. You deserve it. So bloody happy for you.

There is hope, hang on in there ladies it can get better. Cruise we salute you and thankyou for giving us hope. Even if it's just for one night

Shall we have a head count? Haven't seen Kiera for a while. Anyone else that hasn't reported in for a while?

My night was OK. DD slept with me from about 10.30 and woke at 12ish. Fed her without thinking but she didn't take much hence waking again at about 4 for a feed but at least then slept again until about 7. I actually woke up first! She was asleep on my bed in her growbag with a fleecy blanket on her that was almost covering her face Maybe she was warmer

bampa · 19/03/2007 15:18

ginger i was wondering wher genlay was? maybe she has exams or time difference has been too awkward. Who else is missing...my brain can't think?

tibsy · 19/03/2007 15:21

hi ginger! pavlov too, do you think theyre all off having 12-14 hours sleep somewhere?

OP posts:
gingerninja · 19/03/2007 16:38

Cruise won't need us anymore either

kittypants · 19/03/2007 17:01

i need you!!

cruisemum1 · 19/03/2007 17:49

ginger - rest assured that last night was more than likey a one off (though I woul dlove it to be the shape of things to come).
See you tomorrow.....probably

MaeBee · 19/03/2007 18:48

cruise - well done you! traitor! actually, it must mean there is hope for us all.

bamba and tibsy - thanks a lot for all the support and ive eaten so many sweet things i feel a load better. also went to my pilates and put my boy in the creche for an hr, and then went to music and movement and everyone there was so nice, and i just went out and had a cup of tea in the kids library and felt soooo much better.

homer - my two pence worth, as a mother of a mere 5 and a half mth old! - is that ive read/heard that its 10 or 11 mths they get seperation anxiety badly. could it be that ?

some version of pupd is winging its way to ours soon, now his excema seems to have settled down a bit, and now that we really are going to bung him in his own room soon.
have randomly hung a darker curtain up tonight! and put a vest on him as well. have decided maybe he was a bit cold last night in his grobag...what do you do about the arms being out?!? he wears a babygro, but it still doesnt really seem enough, as my arms are tucked under the duvet (or him of course!)

gingerninja · 19/03/2007 19:27

Maebee, I use long sleeved vests plus a blanket if it gets cold overnight. Her arms do tend to end up above it tho but the long sleeved vests definately help. If I don't use one her arms are freezing.

We've been putting DD in her own room for a few days. First night was excellent. Hasn't worked quite so well since however. She always ends up in bed with me! We've have moved her proper cot into her room tonight (she was in a travel cot before) and the room looks so lovely I'D love to sleep in it!

Well, here's hoping for a good night all. And Cruise, lets hope for a second night. Fingers crossed for you.
