Blush - I can't use this thing!! X

JRmumma · 10/01/2014 15:23

flopsy can i ask why paediatrician recommended early weaning? Is it because of sleep issues or something else?

flopsybunny45 · 10/01/2014 18:22

Weight issues I think was the main thing - she's dropped to 1st PCtile but also having general tummy/feeding issues resulting in little sleep. But we talked about sleep issues being a by product of a feeding problem.

Cakeismymaster · 10/01/2014 19:02

Flopsy baby rice is really rank, have a look at the ellas kitchen 1st pouches as an alternative especially if half price in tesco - I think they do their own pears and baby rice ones which will probably be a lot nicer tasting than the made up stuff on its own.

JRmumma · 10/01/2014 19:09

The HIPP pouches are fruit plus baby rice mixed and are 33p each in Tesco at the mo. The Ellas kitchen ones are 39p fruit only. Get stocked up!!!

IndigoTea · 10/01/2014 19:28

Ella's kitchen pouches are perfect - 100% fruit! A bargain in tesco, when does this offer end? I need to stock up

Juvenilesuccess · 10/01/2014 19:35

Cindy hope you're feeling better now. My DP is just the same. His stock response when I try to discuss naps and routine etc is always "she's fine!". Which is frustrating!!'

Sending all those babies good sleep vibes especially the one up 16 times last night (on phone so can't double check but think it was Flopsy or Alex??).

Baby found her cot all very exciting and managed a few one hour sleeps in there before I took her in with me (too lazy to keep getting up [embarrassed]).

Juvenilesuccess · 10/01/2014 19:37

Deary me Blush

Tiredemma · 10/01/2014 19:50

Sending very Un-mumsnetty love vibes for tonight ladies.

I already know that I will be up - can just tell. DD only had 3oz milk before passing out at 6.30.

All the best for tonight ladies!
I just know DD will do a big poo at some stage, last one was before midday!
Juvenile - do we have the same DH? ;)

Feeding DD at the moment, wonder how long it will take for her to properly fall asleep tonight...

JRmumma · 10/01/2014 21:20

DS conked out at 8, early for him so we put him to bed. 2 wake ups so far, both for wind.

marushka82 · 10/01/2014 21:38

Lucky you JRmumma!
DD had a feed and seems to think it's time to play... DH is trying to wear her out by reading her stories...

alex344 · 10/01/2014 23:49

Ha ha, this thread makes me smile, I'm glad I found it - we're all in this together ladies! Yep it was me with 16 wakes last night. He's done 4 since 7.30, Slightly better than last night at this hour, fingers crossed! Just giving a top up feed now... which he won't really wake up for, oh the irony! Good luck all xxx

Juvenilesuccess · 11/01/2014 07:08

How's everyone doing? Alex?

Mine seems to be doing a few two hours slots which is a big improvement. Although she was awake at 5.30. I palmed her off on DP. Back with me now and asleep again (she always has a short nap an hour after waking up).

Marushka - I think we might actually just be the same person!

Cakeismymaster · 11/01/2014 09:21

I had this: bed at 8, awake for feed at 11, sleep 11.30 till 1.30, feed and change, sleep 2 till 3.30, feed then awake/unsettled untill 5.30..then fee again and sleep till 8
Gah

cindyrella · 11/01/2014 09:42

Hello girls

well my night at pals was good. Got some rest & missed dd like crazy.

Seems that my dp is similar to others...kinda good to know!

Dd was apparently a nightmare to put down but went down at 9:30 only woke at 11:30, 2, 4 & up at 7.
Drank a whole 190ml at bedtime from bottle & had first taste of formula this morning cause ran out of ebf!

Tonight ill be feeding her ebf to see if she'll drink longer & sleep longer.

cindyrella · 11/01/2014 10:09

Havent heard from robbo in a while. Hope 12 hour work shift went ok!

cindyrella · 11/01/2014 10:24

Oh My God I just got her to self settle in the swing fir a nap!!!!! Wooooooo Hooooooooo!!!! My nap plan is working (touch wood)

marushka82 · 11/01/2014 10:33

Mine settled at 10.30 on boob, woke up half hour later, shhd and dummy, slept until 12.30, then up at 2, 4, 5.45 and finally around 8.
DH took her to the lounge and I got about 1.5 hr sleep. Halelluyah [sp?]!
She wore herself out on a jumperoo (here's hoping) and has been napping for 12 minutes - hopefully she'll do an hour!
I see now we don't have it as bad as we don't have to change DD at night!

IndigoTea · 11/01/2014 17:47

Marus, how old is your LO? My 7 month old is doing same as yours. He hasn't really take well to solids and I suppose I'm wondering whether it's hunger. Having said that, he just woke up now after napping for almost three hours! It's so unpredictable

cakebaby · 11/01/2014 18:50

FFS this is sooooo hard, glad to hear successes , gives me hope! Welcome new joiners too, not posted much as it depresses me typing about it!

tired hope you're feeling better today?

Can't recall who was returning to work on a 12 hr night, my brain is mush, but hope it wasn't too horrific for you! On phone so can't go back to name check

Cakeismymaster · 11/01/2014 19:04

Dd has broken me today, awful naps, crying and unsettled all day- think a tooth is coming and also lots of feeding today seems hungrier..sensing tonight isn't going to be good!
I look at my older 2 and know it all passes but it seems soooo far away!

cindyrella · 11/01/2014 19:22

Good luck ladies!

It was robbo on 12 hr shift...hope shes survived :)

To those who had bad days...fresh start tomorrow!

Dd had 2 self settling naps today. Hard shush work but looks like im getting there!

Tiredemma · 11/01/2014 19:47

Just 3x up last night. I know that is good. Hoping it improves tonight again!

marushka82 · 11/01/2014 21:40

Indigo DD is 5.5 mo, haven't started solids yet...

How are you guys doing with naps?
My DD does 3 a day, roughly every 2 hours (as she doesn't really show that she's sleepy). The longest nap she has is in the pushchair and it's an hour, sometimes hour and 15 mins. In the morning and afternoon she does 40 mins only. I'm so jealous of those mums whose babies have 2 hr naps. It only happened a few times for us, totally randomly.
Hopefully you all have a good night!
I am starting to wonder whether DD is going through a growth spurt (I think there is one around 6 months?)
