Hello, fashionistas.

Stella McCartney and Gap would like to invite 50 Mumsnetters (with or without their children) to attend the Stella McCartney for Gap launch on Monday 2nd November between 5.30pm and 7pm at the Gap Brompton Road store, Knightsbridge, London.

Here's what the guys at Gap say: "As you may know, Gap will be debuting the first ever collection of Stella McCartney for GapKids and babyGap. Launching in stores on 3rd November 2009, Stella McCartney has created a collection for boys and girls from 0-6 months to 12 years. The collection features her signature touches ? a soft colour palette, familiar silhouettes and her unique mix of unexpected pieces, creating looks that stay true to Stella?s unique vision, reinterpreted with GapKids? playful, child-like charm, keeping fun and practicality at the forefront of the design intent."

Stella herself has specifically suggested that Mumsnet members are invited to the preview event, as she is a fan of the site!

Guests will enjoy a tea party and children will be able to take part in a range of craft activities incorporating motifs from the campaign and will also receive a branded gift bag and balloon at the end of the event.

There is disabled access to the store. Baby changing facilities will be available.

If you'd like to come, please fill in this form.

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So, if you haven't heard by 1 November, we're sorry but you haven't been selected.

I have NEVER been to anything like this and I am -pooing- -my- -pants- a little nervous. My hair looks mad and I'm panicing about accessories. Still, it makes a change for that to be the worst thing I have to worry about and I'm excited! DD1 is 9 and looks good in a bin bag and will be wearing leggings knee length suede boots and a rock chic top (probably)

Thank you all kind and lovely MNers, my mum friend will be over the moon. She is well into her fashion, always knows about designers etc but never been to anything like this in her life, she will love it and won't need to loiter outside!

Horton · 02/11/2009 13:21

I have a cold now and wish I hadn't told DD we were going as she is mad keen to get to the party and I am flipping knackered and sniffly. So I don't think we will stay long. I will also be the scruffiest person there as I officially Cannot Be Arsed today.

FritesMenthe · 02/11/2009 13:23

Right, I have to finish work/do school run, so will pick up messages at 3.30pm.

ImSoNotTelling · 02/11/2009 13:56

Look forward to seeing you all there. I will be the saddo who has brought her mum

Hope everyone who is ill/has sick DC recover soon

smauchline · 02/11/2009 13:58

Does anyone still have spare tickets for this? I was supposed to get confirmation via a differnet site but nothing

If anyone has a ticket they're not using can you mail to me at [email protected].

Might even share the goody bag!

ImSoNotTelling · 02/11/2009 14:06

frites has a spare ticket smauch - see above

NormaBatesFeltcher · 02/11/2009 14:35

smauchline - that seems to be your one and only post on Mumsnet. Are you a regular?

AnnieOneForTennis · 02/11/2009 16:55

Ok, time to go now! Be there in 6 mins!! Hello Stella...

monkeysavingexpertdotcom · 02/11/2009 21:35

OK so how many mumsnetters actually went to this? I think I spotted/sussed about ten/fifteen and spoke to two.

littleducks · 02/11/2009 21:39

did you get goody bags? i couldnt go in the end

traceybath · 02/11/2009 21:41

What were the clothes like and did you actually meet/chat to Stella?

RockQuinoa · 02/11/2009 21:45

Yes I want to know what she was like!

ImSoNotTelling · 02/11/2009 21:48

I went

Didn't talk to anyone though.

I reckon I spotted about 20 MNers - most of the ones with kids I guess!

Goody bag was inflatable toy, stickers, colouring pencils and a lolly. Not piles of free gap clothes! Mores the pity

Was really good though DD1 had a ball

NormaStanleyFletcher · 02/11/2009 21:51

The goody bags were a bit fairground

An inflatable toy (dinosaur for boy, flamingo for girl, a sheet of stickers, and a lolly and a toy in one, and bugger all else in the other)

Stella was not there that I saw

Food was OK, DD really loved the crafty bit

Nice drinks

Meglet · 02/11/2009 21:53

did stella have her dc's there?

Doodleydoo · 02/11/2009 21:53

We went, small girl chatting up the boys at the craft table in a pink cardigan with sparkly buttons and a denim skirt with gap tights and brown boots, obviousl wasn't me but my dd - I was in jeans with a black top and not at all trendy, obviously I was by the food which was quite good!

Did anyone buy anything?

Will hazard a guess that 3 women near me were MN and although i nearly stood up and shouted - anyone from MN? - I wimped out!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 02/11/2009 21:56

The military jackets and the tutus were not available as far as i could tell, not arrived yet. You could arrange for them to tell you when there are in stock though
