Hello, fashionistas.

Stella McCartney and Gap would like to invite 50 Mumsnetters (with or without their children) to attend the Stella McCartney for Gap launch on Monday 2nd November between 5.30pm and 7pm at the Gap Brompton Road store, Knightsbridge, London.

Here's what the guys at Gap say: "As you may know, Gap will be debuting the first ever collection of Stella McCartney for GapKids and babyGap. Launching in stores on 3rd November 2009, Stella McCartney has created a collection for boys and girls from 0-6 months to 12 years. The collection features her signature touches ? a soft colour palette, familiar silhouettes and her unique mix of unexpected pieces, creating looks that stay true to Stella?s unique vision, reinterpreted with GapKids? playful, child-like charm, keeping fun and practicality at the forefront of the design intent."

Stella herself has specifically suggested that Mumsnet members are invited to the preview event, as she is a fan of the site!

Guests will enjoy a tea party and children will be able to take part in a range of craft activities incorporating motifs from the campaign and will also receive a branded gift bag and balloon at the end of the event.

There is disabled access to the store. Baby changing facilities will be available.

If you'd like to come, please fill in this form.

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So, if you haven't heard by 1 November, we're sorry but you haven't been selected.

OK - in but can't go - didn't read the time, live too far away!
HelenMumsnet, have you /GAP got a reserve list or shall I get in touch with the woman who emailed me? (daft git emoticon)

Jujubean77 · 28/10/2009 20:00

OOh I am in too, v excited but won't know anyone so will just smile and shmooze

Horton · 28/10/2009 20:11

I also know no other MNetters and am not cool. So say hello to me, too! I will be bringing one three year old.

ImSoNotTelling · 28/10/2009 20:22

I am going to say hello to everyone.

But have just realised I have started potty training my 2.3yo this week - I'm going to have to put her in a nappy arent I

Aubergines · 28/10/2009 20:24

I got invited!

How are we going to know who the other mumsnetters are????

Aubergines · 28/10/2009 20:27

I'll have to come straight from work which means wearing a suit. Is that going to look odd? I'll have a 3 year old with me.

TrickOrTreatersDragOnYourNoose · 28/10/2009 20:29

I've stuffed up - DS2 has cubs that evening so I can't go

ImSoNotTelling · 28/10/2009 20:29

I think we will be able to spot each other at 50 paces

twelveyeargap · 28/10/2009 20:29

Shall we all wear a carnation? (I would say military style coat and moon boots, but we'd blend in too much. )

twelveyeargap · 28/10/2009 20:30

Actually, maybe Stella has no mates and we'll be the only ones there. [arf] How big is that Gap anyway? With 50 mumsnetters plus kids, how many more will fit?

RockinSockBunnies · 28/10/2009 23:56

Yay! I'm invited! DD will be thrilled - she met a semi-famous person last week, so she'll no doubt think that celebrities are lurking at every corner at this rate!

LadyG · 29/10/2009 00:07

HOW did I miss this? Can I be on the reserve list.please please please?? I am a hideous old crone but the kids are very gorgeous and photogenic....

nula · 29/10/2009 00:22

I can think of nothing worse.
Hope you all have fun tho!

posieparksherbroom · 29/10/2009 07:51

Yes, just got my email and DH is off!!!!!

Stillsquaffingthesteamingblood · 29/10/2009 08:42

Bugger - I missed this. And I could have waltzed in wearing me own Stella kit too

Please put me on reserve list if one exists - I can easily come up at short notice.

posieparksherbroom · 29/10/2009 09:15

Perhaps you can be me, I'm just crunching end of month finances for the diesel and parking costs!! I really want to go....but will post the second I can/can't.

monkeysavingexpertdotcom · 29/10/2009 09:45

Mmm, I said earlier I couldn't go but am still working on logistics (determined)

monkeysavingexpertdotcom · 29/10/2009 18:28

Right Dh, DSis and a friend have persuaded me to go. I'll be the short dumpy uncomfortable looking one pushing my tall confident daughter in front of me...

PeterDominic · 29/10/2009 18:32

well wankitty wank, Ill be htinking of you all

posieparksherbroom · 29/10/2009 19:41

I'll be with four children and a starstruck DH, we will stand out a mile. My dcs are ds1, 7, ds2 6, dd1, 3, and baby will be one year the following day...do you think they will change the launch to his party???

Adair · 29/10/2009 19:49

Oh I got an invitation to this but you know what, getting to south west Central London with a 1 and 3yr old in rush hour..?!!

So if you want to pretend to be me (MN hope that's allowed, otherwise please add to reserve list...) then email umlellala @ hotmail.com

(leave message here that you've emailed, please )

ImSoNotTelling · 29/10/2009 20:14

Phew well I got my email!

Are we allowed to bring another adult then posie? DH is keen and I'm nervous about handling the kids by myself on the tube etc

posieparksherbroom · 29/10/2009 20:37

Yes on the invite it asks you to name another(only one) guest that you'd like to bring...dcs are already on as it asked on the form, I think.

ImSoNotTelling · 29/10/2009 21:10

So did you email her back and say you're bringing DH or are you just going to turn up with him?

Just when she resent it to me (doh!) she said "So whichever names you RSVP'd with to Mumsnet are your guest allocation for the night" and on the invite it says you can bring one guest who you have to specify.

I think I will just bring anotehr person as I need someone to help me with the pushchair on the tube!

monkeysavingexpertdotcom · 29/10/2009 22:57

Horton I won't know anyone either, and am q. nervous about this but excited.
