Hi MNHQ can you please address the issue of a certain poster called AidaP who is not participating in debate he is just trolling.

to be clear this person is a trans woman who has been convicted of violence and is posting promotion of acts of violence against women elsewhere.

in particular there is one elsewhere about using a roughly hewn rolling pin to rape women.

you realy need to look in to him it is just so not on that he is being allowed to bother us here.

(Yes, I know you don’t see it as a graphic sexual threat, but dozens of us do. There’s not really any point analysing the phrase over and over again. Many MNers feel offended and threatened by it- you don’t get to tell us our feelings are wrong.)

I can think TWAM and also disagree that something a TW said isnt a rape threat. Very strange to think that believing TWAM also means that you cant ever agree with a TW and must see the worst in everything they say.

I get that but I’m not sure why you’re so determined to defend Aida when so many women are saying they find his language threatening. Maybe you could just accept that you’re in the minority in feeling the way you do. I just can’t really imagine being so motivated to spend hours telling some people who feel threatened/offended that they are wrong to feel that way.

Nor does the 'I did think you all had a point but then you all spoke' accusation even have a ring of credibility or make sense.

What makes sense is that these things are said by not just one poster either, to try to present a case to support the women on MN FWR are aggressive, even abusive, with no relevant points to make. It also then becomes a flawed feminist discussion where we are all just supporting the patriarchy in infantilising women and girl with this talk of 'safeguarding' which is fucking false and not never part of any law or policy.

But I would like to be proven wrong here.

Some people don't understand the nature of an online discussion, where responses are going to be made or reposts used to make a wider point.

Reminds me of a local FB group I was in where someone posted a news article about a local event, I replied to say "Oh that's great about X but I hope it won't affect Y". The original poster replied to say he didn't know, why would I ask him? I replied to say it was just a comment, to which he asked why I kept messaging A while later I looked at the group and the admin had put me on a week's suspension, so clearly misunderstanding internet discussion is not uncommon...

Then don't post on Mumsnet.

I can post. I can also choose where and when to reply.

I dont think i am in the minority. I just think you are very invested in seeing the worst in anything a trans person says. If you read other threads about this thread on the Internet, you'll see other people disagree with you, too. Irrespective of whether they think.l TWAW or TWAM. They think this is a reach.
